I had the house avo toast and hash. My meal was good, but I can't say it was worth $16. $1.50 upcharge to swap the side of fruit for the hash, even though the hash is cheaper than the fruit on the menu. What an awesome hidden gem. I got the avocado toast with ricotta and the homemade bread was amazing! It was a cross between a muffin and an English muffin. The red expresso was a delicious drink. The muffins were flavorful and a perfect consistency, even the gluten free. Most things are made in house and if they aren't they are locally sourced. They offer vegan options as well. This has to be one of the most hidden gems of Jacksonville Beach! I wish there were more Ugly Cupcake Muffinrys & Cafe closer to the St Johns River! The menu screams with great combinations! This place has it all - friendly staff, great atmosphere, generous portions and affordable pricing! I sincerely appreciate them catering to my tomato allergy...the owner was courteous and kind to stop by and inquiry about our visit....All I had to say is I will be back...got to try that duck...or....pork belly Will let you know....and of course I tryed the MUFFIN...blueberry...just the way it has to be made...overloaded with sweet blueberries!! Perfect for a morning snack and coffee! The gluten free blueberry muffin was delicious and the iced coffee was delicious for my morning walk. I'm so glad we decided to visit here for Mother's Day brunch! There was an extensive menu, including a made-to-order egg station (chicken eggs or vegan), biscuit bar, fresh fruit, salad, avocado toast and more! Each buffet came with a drink and muffin. In addition, there was a cotton candy machine for the kids to enjoy.The service was perfect! Everyone was so nice and everything seemed to be running smoothly.I've been a few times before today's visit and the food and service has always been perfect. Located in a plantation style house on a side street in Jacksonville Beach, this is an unusual place for lunch, very close to the beach. It’s main claim to fame seems to be it’s muffins. I had scrambled eggs over hash Greek style, i.e. with feta cheese and spinach. However it was not corned beef hash which I was expecting, just home fries under the scrambled eggs.
