Met JD and Francois in Timbavati private game reserve, during our holiday in South-Africa. During one of the game drive they told us they have their own travel agency called 'The Travel Cafe Cape Town'. They asked if we wanted some tips for the rest of our travels. So we said: 'sure!'.From there on they helped us out so much. From activities to restaurant tips (they even made reservations for us, so we could get the best table available), got us a wonderfull route through the peninsula of Cape Town and tipped us an excellent paragliding pilot to cross that of our bucketlist.Also met them again in cape town for some drinks. It was great spending some time with them again!They brought so many extra to our holiday and made it something special.If you considering travelling to Africa, contact them! UN SERVICE INCROYABLE ! JD and Francois ont su créer un voyage sur mesure pour nous et qui répondait à nos attentes. Étant du Canada, nous avons décidé de faire affaire avec eux car à priori nous ne connaissions pas suffisamment l’Afrique du sud afin d’organiser notre propre voyage. Il n’est pas dans nos habitudes d’engager une agence de voyage pour s’occuper de nos voyages, par contre, dans ce cas bien précis, nous n’avions pas le temps de l’organiser nous-même. En fait, je ne catégoriserais même pas JD et François comme une agence de voyage, car leurs services vont bien plus loin que simplement faire des réservations. Ils ont été de vrais conseillés tout au long de notre voyage. Ils ont vraiment été à l’écoute de nos besoins ! Deux exemples qui démontrent qu’ils en ont fait bien plus afin de rendre notre voyage inoubliable :1. Suite à une rencontre en personne avec François, il a remarqué que j’étais très grand (+ de 2 mètres). Sans même que je lui demande, il a fait notre enregistrement pour un vol interne et a sélectionné les sièges prêts de la sortie de secours (plus d’espace pour les jambes). Il n’a même pas demandé des frais supplémentaires.2. Ayant quitté un hôtel depuis 2 jours, J’ai malheureusement remarqué que j’avais oublié un appareil électronique dans une des chambres. François et JD se sont occupé de récupérer l’appareil en question et de nous le faire livrer par courrier recommander à notre prochaine destination. Tout ceci sans même nous charger les frais du courrier ! Nous ne connaissions pas François et JD avant notre départ, nous avions uniquement lu les commentaires à leur sujet sur internet afin de nous décider. Je peux maintenant affirmer que je n’hésiterais aucunement à les recommander à ma famille ou amis et que si nous décidions de retourner en Afrique, je les contacterais sans aucune hésitation !Merci pour ce voyage inoubliable ! Wow Our first trip to South Africa beautifully arranged and crafted by JD and Francois using their considerable experience and expertise. 6 stunning and unique destinations in 3 perfect weeks, travelling the garden route in all its glory. My wife and I had a fantastic 3 weeks in South Africa thanks to the wonderful itinerary especially tailored for us by JD and Francois, it was just PERFECT. Magnifique séjour en Afrique du Sud organisé par le travel café. Sorties et déplacements bien rythmés au départ de Cape town. Avec entre autre coucher de soleil sur la Table Mountain, rencontre avec les Pingouins, kayak avec les dauphins... Puis découverte des vignobles, la région du little Karoo, repos en bord de mer dans la jolie ville de Knysna et enfin les grands animaux d’Afrique dans le parc des éléphants d’Addo et toujours dans des logements superbes et surprenants. De retour, nous regardons avec un plaisir intense les magnifiques photos qui témoignent d'un bon moment passé en Afrique du Sud et ce, grâce à vous. Votre main tendue dans l'organisation a été remarquable. Nous gardons un souvenir unique de cette traversée par cette croisière depuis seafront (la formule du champagne "all you can drink" est originale, mais attention consommation modérée est recommandée!). I have been to Cape Town a few times - but this time was different. Coming back home (Gauteng) for my sisters wedding, we had her 2-day bachelorette in Cape Town. I wanted to make sure it was perfect and that we make the most of our little time there. François has been very available from the beginning of my holiday planing and has been recommending real "gems " of South Africa! !
Also, he has been suggesting good and varied type of accommodations , and they all matched our expectations. From backpackers to boutique game lodge, everything was perfect!!
Travel cafe really takes the time to know what are your interest , and what type of holiday you want to experience.
They don't just book your accommodation , they also design a tailor made itinerary and print it for you for you when you arrive, and also provide a great list of things to do and place to visit on Cape Town, useful information, best restaurant....
it made me want to come back and trust them again for my next holiday in the country!

I've just come back from a week in Cape Town travelling with my 11 year-old son. The team at the Travel Cafe were excellent in giving me endless of helpful information and booked us for some amazing experiences and tours including a not-to-be-missed Township tour. They clearly know Cape Town and it's people inside out which was evident when arranging some of our trips. I have always dreamed of going to Namibia, but found planning the trip quite overwhelming and because I could only take one week off from my busy schedule for the trip I wanted to make sure I get it right. It’s not that easy to just “redo” it all. Francois and JD at The Travel Cafe worked very closely with my husband and me to find out what we wanted to see and experience on our trip, and then designed a holiday that checked all of our boxes - and many more. There is no way we would have been able to find some of the things that turned out to be the biggest highlights of our trip. Unless we spent days or weeks hunched over our computers researching the trip, but both of us are too busy for that. I was - almost literally - breathless when I saw our luxury camp in the middle of the Namibian desert under endless starry skies, and waking up with the sight of an Oryx just metres away. Just returned from a fortnight trip to SA with family. Prior to going I had many email and WhatsApp conversations with JD who was extremely helpful with things to see and do in Cape Town and the garden route with all his suggestions being excellent. These guys really know their stuff and recommend places on their own experiences. I would definitely return to South Africa and next time I will use these guys to help plan the whole trip.

François, fondateur du Travel Cafe, nous a organisé de main de maître un séjour inoubliable d'une semaine pour 2 personnes au Cap et dans la région des vignobles. Tout était parfait, de la sélection des hôtels et des activités aux suggestions de balades et de restaurants. Dès la préparation du voyage, son sens de l'écoute nous a permis de mettre au point un voyage vraiment sur mesure tenant compte de nos goûts et de nos envies. Sans catalogue préétabli, il nous a concocté un séjour cohérent et bien rythmé, qui nous a offert de belles rencontres. Une fois sur place, grâce à l'application dédiée sur mobile, à WhatsApp et à 2 rendez-vous très sympathiques, dont un déjeuner le samedi midi dans le marché très animé du Old Biscuit Mill, il a assuré en direct le bon déroulement de ce voyage en nous permettant de replanifier des activités menacées par une météo capricieuse et en nous prodiguant à nouveaux de bon conseils de visites et de restaurants selon nos goûts. Et tout ça pour un budget tout à fait raisonnable, avec un devis clair et très détaillé, sans aucune mauvaise surprise et très en dessous de ce que des agences traditionnelles peuvent proposer. François and JD organised an amazing trip in South Africa for myself and a friend of mine. They are a customer focused approach agency, as before planning any kind of trip they listen to travellers and look for what their needs are. they plan a trip that can be amended until their client isn’t fully happy with it. Once the trip is agreed through calls or emails, François and JD will share it on a fantastic APP from where anything can be found: from the itinerary, to contacts, up to vouchers of events/experiences or reservations made. Nous sommes passées par The Travel Cafe Cape Town pour organiser notre séjour d'une semaine dans la région du Cap. Nous avons pu malgré ce timing très serré profiter de nombreuses activités et paysages magnifiques grâce au supers conseils de François ! ! La rencontre avec François au cap a également été géniale, cela nous permet de nous sentir chouchoutées et de nous mettre vraiment en confiance dès notre arrivée pour l'intégralité de notre séjour.Tout du long du séjour via whatsapp nous avons pu poser toutes les questions que nous souhaitions à François qui était très à l'écoute et réactif. Nous avons eu l'impression de partager notre expérience avec un ami tout du long de cette semaine.Les hébergements étaient tous des petits bijoux de part leurs emplacements mais également de la part la gentillesses de hôtes !!N'hésitez pas à vous tournez vers François pour vos voyages.
