We held our wedding reception at Tigermen Den in fall 2019, and it was wonderful! I loved that our guests had rooms to spread out. The seating worked out great, and we were thrilled to use the furniture, marble top bar, coolers, and dishes included in the rental fee. It was everything we wanted - it was the first venue we looked at and we immediately knew it was the one! We hosted our wedding reception at The Tigermen Den and it was amazing! It was the perfect size for our 85 guests plus a full buffet meal and a live band. It is such a charming space with so much natural beauty and funky decor that you don't have to do much to dress it up. The courtyard area was perfect as well. It was great that they let us choose our own caterer and provide our own alcohol. The full industrial kitchen was a big help to our caterers. They offer a lot of extras and were super helpful and accommodating. I would recommend The Tigermen Den. I think it would work for a lot of different events! More...

We absolutely loved having our wedding reception at The Tigermen Den. We had been a few times before for their Cajun Brunch and loved the space. It was also a reasonable price for what was included! We were going for a casual cocktail reception and got just that. We were nervous about seating and the "flow" of the space but it turned out perfectly. We had plenty of seating options for our ~90 guests (those who needed/wanted to sit could, but many people chose to stand and wander around). We loved that there were multiple rooms so it felt like a true house party. We used the kitchen as a charcuterie/dessert space and had a band playing in the main room. It was a little difficult to get in touch with them when planning originally (I started planning WAY in advance and I'm not sure they were used to that?) but it really wasn't a problem. We hired a person affiliated with Tigermen Den the day of (~$100 extra) and that was KEY. She was amazing! and she brought her dog at the end of the party :) More...

This is a gorgeous space with classic Nola details. I felt like I traveled back in time to a charming Cajun era. Matthew was really helpful in explaining my options for hosting our grad school mixer here, and the price range was reasonable. He was willing to offer different packages based on our needs and that was something we weren't able to get from other venues we contacted. The event itself went smoothly, with very clean, well laid out place settings, AV system in check, and Matthew on hand for any extra help. Even though we didn't pay him for cleaning, he stayed until after one a.m. to clean and helped us carry extra food and drinks back to my car. More...

We rented the space for our wedding in October 2016. It's a gorgeous old New Orleans house with wood panels and lots of charms. We had been to this venue a few times (we live in the neighborhood) and loved it. We just knew we wanted to get married there. It was the perfect mix of pretty and casual for our wedding: we had the ceremony and dinner reception there. The size was just right for our 60 guests. We also rented the side room to get ready and even spent the night. The natural light in the space is just amazing for pictures. We also went to the park across the street for really cute first look and group pics. At first I had some concerns about logistics and some of their rules for access and clean-up but the folks who run the place were super accomodating. They went above and beyond to make sure everything went right the day of. I really have wonderful memories there. Also, the price seemed really fair compared to other venues. This is quite an interesting venue that has a vintage ambiance with a hint of rustic to it.  They host a variety of events here from art exhibits to pop up restaurants.  I attended the Mosquito Supper Club's fais do do brunch here and it was like being transported out into the bayou to a Cajun house party.  There was not a lot of table space for eating and the chairs were quite small and uncomfortable as they want you to hurry up and eat to get out on the dance floor  as quick as possible.  Overall this space provided a good environment for a fun event in an unique space that fit it perfectly. A beautiful space in a converted corner store/bar/house. The exposed wood walls are gorgeous and the space is very adaptable, I imagine. The website says it's available as studio space or as an art gallery or as event space.I was there for a Mosquito Supper Club dinner (review to follow) and it was great space for that. One room was set up with two long tables and a sideboard. The other room held a bar and drink setup. I met a couple at the dinner who are planning their wedding in the space in the fall.There was a note about a handicapped entrance through the backyard, if that was needed. And I was told the bathrooms were off the backporch but didn't actually use them. Really a beautiful renovation that honors the history of the building. More...
