I worked with Lee for 6 months following an shoulder injury. Together we found a way to keep training, make massive improvements in my form and PBs but also do so pain free and with no reactance of the injury.

Q&As

I love being a Physiotherapist, and I love to incorporate strength and conditioning principles in all the training programs I give to my clients. These are a combination of bodyweight (calisthenics), weights and aerobic exercise to help you achieve your health and fitness goals. This all happens after we see how you move and function by performing a movement assessment. By doing this, we then can give you a program that aligns with your health and fitness goals.

This is a great question. I hope by now that if you've been looking at getting fit, toned or in shape or just have better habits for some time, you know that there are no short cuts. What the body of your dreams looks like is different for everyone. It all depends on your goals, and where you see yourself. There is a process, it has highs and lows, but once you start to see changes, you start to see your goals being realised, then who knows where it will end. I like to think that 80% of hard work gives you 20% of the results. In other words, a dream body is only 20% of what someone sees, no one sees the 80% of hard graft you put in to get it like that. It's what you see that counts the most!

When someone comes to me, furlorn, at the end of their tether and just wants to give up, this to me is where the magic happens. Just some simple words of encouragement, a small tweak to some of your habits, and an individualised program that aligns with your health and fitness goals will make all the difference. Maybe not straight away, it may take a few weeks, but ultimately together we can get you on the right road to brighter days. Seeing people move better, smile and live long and prosper is what I most like about my job.

Look around the internet, there is so much information and advice out there to most people it is probably overwhelming! I pride myself that within my profession and as a fitness professional I stand for simple straight forward, helpful advice. If you ask me a question, I will give you the best answer I have. This will be based on the evidence, my experience and what you are trying to achieve in your health and fitness goals.

I've been involved in sport, fitness and health-based activities for as long as I can remember. I'm an ex-soldier (14 years), I've worked in professional sport, private practice, coached sportsmen and women alike, and even spent time in front-line NHS services.
I love my job, I love helping people move and feel better along with providing advice and guidance on achieving better lifestyle habits. I offer an individualised program that is based on a prior movement assessment, you have a program that is done for you on a platform that you access from your phone or tablet. There are exercises with video demonstrations, sets, reps and rest are all built-in. Couple that with weekly follow-up video calls to make sure that you are achieving, this keeps you accountable and shows you I have your back.

Hi, and Thank you for reading my bark page.

As a Physiotherapy with over 10 years of experience from the NHS to all manner of areas of sporting performance, I make sure that I take a good history of your problem, I conduct a thorough assessment and utilise the latest evidence-based practices to make sure that you get the right treatment for the problem you are experiencing. This is then addressed using what we call 'a patient-centered approach' where we design an exercise and rehabilitation program that fits with you and your activities of daily living. I then follow up with you regularly to ensure that you are progressing with your exercises, with the ultimate goal of getting you back to full function in the shortest amount of time we can.

Hi, and Thank you for reading my bark.

I provide initially a consultation to discuss what it is you are wanting to get out of a massage, this could be relaxation, deep tissue, or sports, it is all based around your choice.

Once your history is taken, we then move into your treatment which can be any of the above. I use the latest massage oils and waxes, I'm qualified in instrument-assisted soft tissue massage (IASTM), myofascial release, sports, and deep tissue, relaxation, seated and trigger point therapy. Together we can come up with a treatment plan that will suit your needs.

Hi, and Thank you for reading my bark.

It is always best to discuss with any client their ideas around fitness and what it means to be fit and healthy. We all have a different viewpoint on that in my experience.

After that, I always like to discuss goals these may be body composition (weight loss or gain), strength, add muscle, improve general performance. Whatever it is, we can get to where you see yourself at the end of the process.

After a movement and functional assessment to see where you are (we use the assessment so you can see you are progressing). I then combine strength and conditioning, fitness training, diet, nutrition advice, and calculations so that you are set up to aim for your goals.

It is a thorough process and it has to be, you want to achieve your goals and I want to see you succeed, we/you can only do that if you have a plan so you know where you are going and are willing to make the necessary changes to reach your health and fitness goals. Together, this is very attainable.
