Visited the stag and thistle few times now and every time we go home so full! Excellent portions and staff and service is also excellent. The Stag & Thistle is a fantastic place, decor is beautiful, food is delish and cakes are amazing! Ryan & the boys were so friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. .. and we were trouble! all our whims were catered for with a large smile and great banter, they had us laughing our heads of the whole afternoon. From making us mocktails to toasting our scones to cuddles on leaving, we were treated like queens for the day. This was my first time here but certainly won't be my last! More...

Just had a fabulous bank holiday lunch. Half price crepes offer still in place. My daughter wanted to have the wee crepes but wasn't sure if she would like the sauce so the staff brought her a sample of the sauce to try and they made it slightly milder for her. I have been in a few times definetly better than it was. I was in for drinks and the Gin Garden is a great addition as now you can have a drink and not be sitting next to the folks enjoying their dinner as that for me is off putting if your eating and other folk are just sitting over looking you eating. Diont know what's upstairs now but possibly restaurant or lounge bar away from diners would be more appealing for some but enjoyed the Gin experience will continue to support as it's a local business and we need them all to do well � More...

My daughter and I went for dinner to celebrate the end of her exams. The food was delicious (and she's very opinionated about her food�)
We had the homemade mozzarella sticks, followed by mussels, cajun chicken crepes and an ice cream sunday to share (I didn't even get a taste, I can only imagine how good it was). The service was brilliant. Beautiful and relaxed, a perfect evening with my girl �
We're looking forward to our next visit.

Went for dinner with my husband yesterday lovely decor had salt and chilli chicken and chicken tempura for starters they were amazing! !! Mains we had chicken burger and the lasagne, chicken burger was awesome but the lasagne wasn’t so good pasta sheet weren’t cooked properly. Both had sundaes for dessert which were really good. Try’d some cocktails which were really good and the staff on where so helpful and friendly they were 5 star. The only hiccup was the lasagne or I would have gave it 5 out of 5. After seeing lots of photos of afternoon teas with huge meringues, strawberry tarts and gateaux , we decided to book for a birthday.
Sandwiches were nice but far too many and we were disappointed in cakes as we didn't have any of above - there were mini cupcakes, biscuits, scones and a kind of tart that just tasted of sugar .
Can't fault staff and we had plenty of tea and coffee , just disappointed after seeing other photos .

This was our first visit to the stag and thistle in stewarton and were thoroughly impressed! Well, what can I say? Today I had the most fun and laughter I have had for a while! From the moment we walked in the door we were welcomed with such warmth and fantastic banter! ! This was my first time here, but it honestly felt as though it was a home from home with the friendliness and openess of the staff, and being able to have a flirt and a banter just made my day!! Myself and my girly pals were treated like queens today and it is now my most favourite place ever!! We had the afternoon tea and they catered to our every need with the most beautiful manners and personality, there are few places left in the hospitality trade where the staff are so naturally friendly! The food was delicious, especially the red velvet cake! I will absolutely be back every chance I get for banter and hugs that sweep me off my feet!
