The Small Building Company are a Morpeth based business covering the Northumberland and Tyneside areas. We are prepared to travel further afield.

They are a family business who have been involved in developing property for a number of years and continue to do so.

For 30 years the owner of the business - Graham Davis was a police officer. His position prior to retirement was the Area Commander in charge of policing Gateshead.

1. Kitchen Facelifts

Replacing existing kitchen doors, drawers, worktops, cornicing, pelmets, plinths etc with locally manufactured products of a very high quality.

The change to the appearance of the kitchen is dramatic yet it's far cheaper than replacing the whole kitchen and installation only takes 1 - 2 days.

They are able to offer a wide range of products, tailored to customers’ needs and budget.

2. Supply and installation of fitted kitchens.

They will design supply kitchens from a range of manufacturers, from budget to premium.

There is something to match everyone's pocket.

Once the design is approved the ordering, coordination of the trades and installation are all taken care of.

3. Supply and installation of fitted bedrooms.
Designs include fitted from wall to wall and floor to ceiling or stand alone.

There is a broad selection to choose from including conventional to modern sliding doors.

We offer a range to meet all budgets.

4. Repairs and maintenance

Sorting small tasks around the house.

This includes a multitude of work from assisting customers who have moved into a new house to repairing and improving.

We carry out a lot of maintenance and improvement works for a management company that provides a service to landlords

As well as their own staff The Small Building Company have partnerships with a wide range of proven tradespersons / suppliers. All trades employed on a project are managed by The Small Building Company ensuring customers are not burdened with problems and are a free to enjoy the process.

When The Small Building Company was set up in 2015 the aim was to focus upon undertaking work for older customers and those who live alone.

The Small Building Company fully appreciates how difficult it is for older persons to invite tradesmen into their home when they are not known to them. A great deal of time and effort is invested reassuring customers and gaining their trust.

To date 85% of customers are over 55 years old with the majority being women.

Much of the work is repeat business and customers’ recommending the company to their friends and family.

No work is undertaken until approved and authorised by the customer. Full payment is only due once work is complete.
