Do y'all sell scone? I need for a party
Everything in this small, elegant bakery is baked with the freshest ingredients available. The scones are delightful. The crumb cake is the best in the state. The monkey muffins, when available, will leave a lasting memory. If you like a fudgy brownie, they have the best. Consistently top notch. More...
One of the best bakeries anywhere. What I like most is that they cook with butter instead of cheap oils like canola or soy oil, both of which are way too common in baked goods these days. Everything is fresh and has great flavor and texture. I look forward to coming here whenever we are in Spring Lake. More...
Delish! Freshly made and beautiful Pastries. Thinking of ordering next birthday cake...
Delicious.. especially the blueberry scones !
This place is amazing. The vanilla bean scones are one of the best things I've ever eaten. In addition, I just got some gluten free scones for my daughter, who loved them. Pricey but worth it!
Great scones. Slooooowwww service. Tiny place. You can see the ovens from the register. Just be prepared for a long wait but scones are worth it. Think my friend has tried other baked goods with favorable response. More...
Its veey good with lots of options.
Best chocolate and vanilla cake ever! Oooooo! Creamy frosting! :D

The only place I find worth waiting an hour in line during peak hours in the summertime. This place is hands down the BEST pastry shop in New Jersey. Fresh treats so good you'll wanna slap ya motha. Personal recommendations are the key lime pie, lemon poppy scone, blueberry scone. The double chocolate chunk cookies are A+. The way they lay out all the treats in front of you is very enticing. Its like a treasure room only instead of gold, high quality nom nomz.My girlfriend isn't a fan of sweet pastries and waiting in a line for them isn't fun...so I leave her at home while I get my fix at the Scone Poney. The Scone Poney...aka my little sconey. Oh my GOD. I haven't had a crumb cake this good since I moved from Brooklyn, NY 30 years ago. Lords bakery was the standard for me. The Scone Pony is right there with them. I'm now eating a pinnoli cookie. JMJ, I'm in heaven. I'm going to wait until my granddaughters come back, then I'll eat the apple crumb pies. Will update. More...
Love the scones! Especially blueberry lemon and orange cranberry. Delish!!

beautiful quaint bakery with excellent scones and other baked goods! tables outside for relaxing while enjoying their amazing scones and coffees. I highly recommend!!
The fresh baked goods are always worth the visit to Spring Lake.
The scones here are delicious!

This place should be a "destination" all be itself. Best pastries anywhere. No kidding. Made by hand. Best ingredients. Always fresh. Would give it 6 stars if I could.
Best scones you will ever have the pleasure to eat. Yummmm
Best bakery on earth. plenty of gluten free options. Try the crumb cake.
Great food and service
Delicious! Best bakery around.
These scones are lovely. A good size for the money you pay. I also got strawberry muffin. Moist and flavorful. Plus the name is an added bonus.
Yummy, loved their muffins here!!!! They were so good but I got to say I wasn't that impressed with their scones. Call me crazy cuz everyone else I know loves these scones so maybe it was just me or they were having an off scone day but the muffins we got were phenomenal so no complaints here. Also very friendly staff, highly recommend More...
If you ever find yourself in Spring Lake, you must stop by at The Scone Pony. No matter the time of day, there never fails to be a line out the door Although it is often busy, it is well worth the wait. My go to order is a blend of chocolate chip, cinnamon crunch, and blueberry scones. Each scone is fresh, delicious, and mouthwatering. The missing star in my review stems from the efficiency of the staff. While scones and pastries are constantly rolling out of the oven, the staff is capable of catering to customers quicker. While I know they are trying their best, I believe there are ways that can cut down the wait to eat one of the Scone Pony's decadent treats. More...
such a great bakery, the cinnamon scone was unbelievable and the ham and cheese croissant and loaf of bread are so good
Beautiful delicious desserts. Makes a great hostess gift.
Great cakes & muffins. But you're gonna pay for it.
Warm and yummy

Came here for the lemon scones but fell in love with their cinnamon buns. So soft and smothered with delicious cream cheese frosting! Also, good coffee. Adorable clean little place. More...
This place is fantastic! Truly can't praise it enough. The scones are massive and baked to perfection. A little bit of jam and just wow. The chocolate chip is a must, but the cinnamon and blueberry are also winners. Go, try them all. More...

Karin Nichols Marshall
The cheesecake, key lime pie and scones were delicious
The scones are outrageously delicious!
Amazingly wonderful! Simply put the best scone I ever had and more! Dont be fooled by the name, this little bakery will knock your socks off with muffin, cookies and pastries.
I cant wait to go back!
Super nice people, Fabulous desserts! This place gets major rewards! The scones are like no other, everything else is just as excellent.
Always delicious with a variety of yummy scones, cakes, cookies, cupcakes and other pastries! My go to place! Love it!
Best scones ever crumb cake also❤️❤️❤️❤️
Went to check out the Scone Pony last week as I was given a cake from there and it was unbelievable. Wanted to have an assortment of desserts for a party I was having. The staff was so friendly and helpful. The place is absolutely charming and intimate. I loved seeing the bakers busy at work and how clean everything was. We ordered an assortment of scones. They were beyond delicious. I could eat them every morning. The cupcakes were to die for and the cookies were gone within 15 minutes of me serving the dessert. I will definitely be back again. Wanted to try the “famous” Jameson scone but they had run out. Piece of advice...get there early so you don’t miss out on them! Check this place out. I will be back for sure. More...

Everything’s delicious! Tastes like homemade!
Because everything they make is from scratch.
Some really good almond cakes there!
Another one of my favorite bakeries! I literally drive 99 miles ONE WAY to get there! There's a good reason the line usually stretches out the door. Get there early because they sell out quick. PLEASE open a Pony in North Jersey the less I spend on gas the more scones I can buy! More...

Love this bakery! The owners are so wonderful! This is the first bakery I’ve been to where you taste the flavor above the sugar. I’ve sampled many different items here and all were so delicious! I am not gluten free but my friend is . (While I was very reluctant to try what I thought would be tasteless desserts) The gluten free choices were out of this world! I highly recommend The Scone Pony! More...
The best scones I've ever had! I could eat these every single day if my waistline allowed it. I've had lots of the flavors - vanilla bean, blueberry, cranberry orange, chocolate chip, even Jameson for St. Patrick's Day! I can never pick just one scone for the day. These are always a hit for parties and to bring to the office! More...

Love everything in here but the vanilla bean scones are the absolute best!!
Amazing bakery, by far the best in the area. Excellent fresh fruit pies in the summer. The scones are unique and delicious - well worth the usual wait.
Flourless chocolate cookies and tres Leche cakes are outrageous! Can't go wrong here. Excellent.
Such delicious treats here! The scones are to die for.

Delicious specialty baked goods. Nice outdoor dining area.
My favorite bakery in New Jersey. The chocolate chip cookies are soft yet crumbly at the same time & made with really good quality chocolate. The flourless double chocolate cookie is probably my favorite item there they're just amazing like a crunchy outside but a brownie type middle. Everything I've had from here has been pretty delicious. Obviously scones included. I used to go there maybe twice a week. That good. More...
AMAZING! First off, the place smells incredible from the moment you walk in because the staff is busy baking right behind the counter! Go for the scones but stay for the treats in the front case. All the cookies and pastries are incredible! They leave out samples and everything I've tried has been incredible. Now to the scones....no words to describe them! They are light and buttery and incredible! The blueberry is my favorite as the blueberries are so fresh and delicious. Also they sometimes have GF scones which taste just as good as the original. Def stop by if you're in the area! More...
This is by far the BEST bakery in the tri-state area. The baked goods are the freshest and most delicious baked goods I have ever eaten, and I have been to nearly every bakery around. The baked goods themselves taste classy. You can tell everything is baked with a lot of care, and the bakers take their work very seriously. The sizes of the baked goods are perfect - thank goodness for a bakery that actually gives you what you pay for plus more: amazing quality and excellent taste. I have never had a better scone, cupcake, or sticky bun in my life. Everything is moist, tender, and fresh. I look so forward to coming here - thank you so much Scone Pony! It is worth every penny. On Thursday, I was blessed to try their special scone of the day: pineapple coconut. Let me tell you, this was the best scone I have ever eaten. I was sent to the heavens - the flavor combination was outstanding. The pineapple pieces were plump and just the perfect level of sweet. I wish they would have this flavor more often because it was the most amazing scone I have ever eaten. More...
I've never written a review on here before, but couldn't help it after trying these scones for the first time yesterday. They are, hands down, the most delicious, melt-in-your-mouth baked goods I've ever consumed in my life. I bought a large box for my family and sampled the vanilla bean and seasonal lemon blueberry - both were absolutely extraordinary - and my family gobbled up the orange cranberry and chocolate chip. Truly superb!! More...
Scones were great! Cinnamon Buns were even amazing!
Just get your butt out the door and get to the Scone Pony. It's a scone shop... and they are the best scones you'll ever consume. I salivate when I think of each return visit. The shop is nestled in the quaint town of Spring Lake, and is conveniently located beside a residential street where there isn't much traffic. I will die inside if this place ever goes belly up. PS, it is within walking distance of the Spring Lake foot bridges, a great area for a bucolic stroll (better with scone in hand). More...
Our first stop as soon as we got to town. Best scones anywhere. But everything is so amazing it's hard to choose.
Fernando D. Serrano
Delicious. Best scones I've ever had outside of Europe ;)
Everything they make is great. Starting with the scones, which are like none you have ever had. Fresh, moist, full of flavor. The crumb cake is the best ever, offered in a generous square, with or without a delicious icing. The cakes are just as amazing. There is always a line, especially in summer, but it moves, and everyone is so happy to be there, it doesn't matter. More...
Oh..My..God! It doesn't get any better than The Scone Pony. We searched around online for things to do and places to go before Girls Weekend and this seemed like a good idea. That is an understatement. Everything is simply beyond delicious. This cute little shop isn't open every day so check before going. The scones are huge and whether they are sweet or savory, you are sure they are the best you've ever had. "Loaded" is a good description. Bursting with berries or nuts, their confections are definitely bursting with flavor. A friend ordered a cake and tart to bring home and apparently they were delish, too. She has said that she will gladly drive from Westchester County in NY to the Jersey Shore just to get her Scone Pony fix. More...
Never dry, always perfect scones. Also have a wide variety of other baked goods and pastries.
Everything here is amazing! Just go there and try everything and you won't be sorry. Love this place!!!
Vanilla bean scone: amazing!
Great bakery! Good for holiday treats and birthday cakes. Or to fill your sweet tooth kick ; )
YUM YUM YUM! The scones are well worth the line out the door! Do not go there if you need to run in and out, as you will always find a line! The store is VERY small so people wait outside. The scones are so moist, unlike most scones that I've had! The best is when you get them right out of the oven and bite into the warm goodness of them! Whenever I am going to someone's home to visit, I always try to stop by and pick up a box of them as they are sure to impress! My favorite is cranberry orange! More...
I've never had anything here that isn't amazing!!! Loveee the salted Carmel brownie bites. Mmmm
Love the cookies. Excellent selection of everything
These scones are to die for! Vanilla is my favorite! The crumb cake & bread are really good too. This place is no good for someone on a diet!
Staff is always super friendly, the food is always fresh and delicious. I don't think I've tried anything from this bakery that I've disliked. Definitely worth all the hype.
The scones here are out of this world! It is so moist and every flavor is just perfectly balanced. It's pure bliss whenever I get to enjoy these scones ☺️
Britt Brandstetter Pruitt
By far the best scones ever! Can't go wrong with any flavor! Adore the vanilla! Worth any length of a wait!
BEST strawberry shortcake EVER! Heaven in a piece of cake. The vanilla cake is moist and sturdy - in short, a shortcake perfection. The whipped cream - little clouds of fluffy happiness. The strawberries - nature's red orbs, firm and sweet. We had the strawberry shortcake as a birthday cake, and we are still singing ... Scone Pony's praises! Next morning, we had two kinds of coffee cake, and weeping was a true possibility. Some did wipe their eyes. Not too sweet and such a perfect treat with coffee and tea. Raptures - we're in raptures. Lovely proprietress, thank you SO much. Coming back as soon as possible! August possible; November a certainty. Save the date! : ) More...

Took a trip down to the Scone Pony because I am always on the search for great tasting scones, with the perfect consistency. Well, I have finally found scones that equal the ones I had in England! Sweet or savory, the Scone Pony is tops!!!! Worth a drive down in shore traffic!!!! More...
VERY GOOD!!!! Scones don't taste like what I have become accustomed to as "scones." They were moist, more cake like, and DELICIOUS! !!!!! If this is what scones are then I have been eating scone BRICKS for years.... You have to go if you're a scone fan!!!!!!! More...

I never liked keylime pie until i tried theirs!!!! Delicious
The most amazing selection of pastries and sweet treats. Honestly, I absolutely love everything (scones, croissant, petit fours, cinnamon rolls)! !! Favorite scone type has to be vanilla, followed closely by cranberry orange. Get there early and make sure you check the day before you head out as they're only open a few days of the week. More...
I just had a German Chocolate CupCake that was moist, yummy and delicious. The icing had nice big chunks of walnuts in it and was a present surprise!
My dog pulled me towards this establishment which I didn't know about. There was a line to get in. A line to get into a bakery? Never saw this. I asked a older gentleman coming out, " is it really that good?"He placed his hand on my hand and said, " Yes, made sure you get the Cranberry Orange." SO, I did. I bought 3 at a reasonable price and found a nice place to eat my one. OMG.... IT was DIVINE. That's all I can say, just great, taste and quality very fresh, and flavors just blend together in your mouth, eat slowly to enjoy.Just try it! My dog and that nice man was right! Now, this place is going to be my def go to whenever I'm in the area. More...
This place is truly a world-class bakery. The scones are just so so good,. I can never again accept the tasteless hockey pucks that pass as "scones" in other bakeries or (ughh! ) Starbucks. The raspberry and blueberry scone I had today was moist, buttery, light, and oozing with the freshness of just picked berries...heavenly! The cookies and coffee cake are also outstanding! Obviously baked with the finest ingredients with no commercial shortcuts. Had the pleasure of meeting the owner and found him to be warm and friendly and deservedly proud of his product and this immaculate and charming little bake shop. Do not pass through Spring Lake without treating yourself at The Scone Pony! More...

Fantastic local bakery specializing in scones. They have a great unique variety, made fresh daily. They also have a great selection of other baked goods. Awesome scones! The vanilla bean and berry varieties are my favorites. The glaze on top adds the perfect touch of sweetness, and they aren't as dry and crumbly as some other scones I've had.
July 29, 2015 - traveled from North Jersey but didn't know bakery was only open Thursday-Sunday; however, we were lucky enough that owner was on the premises. No scones that day; however, we purchased the flourless chocolate cake (5 different types of chocolate), as well as a coconut lemon cake. Couldn't wait to get home and it was orgasmic. Can't wait to visit on a Friday to try the scones - You go Ronny More...

The Scone Pony is not just a bakery....it is heaven. If your not into scones you will be after you have one bite of these. You can smell the amazing aroma before you even enter the door. Lemon coconut scones are addictive. Perfect combination of flavors, subtle but sweet and lovely. Texture of the scones was perfect. Made my days there while I was visiting, thanks. More...
So let's start off by saying that anyone who gives the Scone Pony is more than likely certifiably insane and should be committed. Yes this may be extreme and may offend people who are in fact insane, but this is the truth. If you are friends with any of these people who have given a less than stellar view, keep your eye on them as they are not all there and you will likely be seeing on the news. Scones are fantastic. If you are looking for what you think is a hard dry scone that you need to slather in butter and jam, wrong scones. These are light, fluffy and melt in your mouth delicious. The sticky bun will make your head explode.Something as simple as the french bread is better than you would get in Paris. Yes, better than Paris. Now the cheesecake. Absolute perfection. Put it up against anything you can find in NYC. Scone Pony is better. If I was religious I would be praying to Mary, the holy guy, Mary's son, etc with every lick of the spoon. Nothing there is less than the best in in it's category. There is a line out the door for a reason. More...
These are the best scones, EVER!!!!! We hit the Scone Pony any time we are in the area. Only thing to make it better is be open Mon, Tues, and Wed too! !!Our favorite is the cranberry orange. Moist on the inside with a bit of a crunch on the outside. Very flavorful. I prefer the scones with icing. It adds even more flavor. More...
The baked goods are fantastic however the service leaves something to be desired. On days when they know there will be a line out the door, you need to be prepared. People went in ordering hundreds of dollars of cakes and treats and I waited 30 minutes for 2 scones. This scenario is not ideal for the average person looking for breakfast. Having all three counter people helping one customer at a time kills the flow of the line. I do not intend on going here during any time I think might be "peak" for fear of starvation in line. Delicious scones...best lemon-blueberry ever, but they are all yummy!
The scones are incredibly sinful- each one is better than the next! I work out an extra half hour to enjoy the scones!❤️
Amazing. I didn't even eat scones before trying the goodies from The Scone Pony. Changed my world!
How can you say anything bad about this place?! As soon as you walk in, it smells like heaven! They are constantly churning out fresh baked goods, which include more than just scones. But the scones are to die for. The blueberry is delicious. If you get there later in the day, selection might not be much, but no matter what, everything is good. More...
Oh. My. God.I had heard all the hype about this place... Lines out the door, best scones around, yada yada. So I figured that I would try it out. I went in and got a couple lemon coconut scones. They were absolutely delicious. Sweet but not overly so, and tangy but not too sour. The texture was where they shined however, warm, flakey, and soft with just a little crunch on the outside. This place absolutely deserves the almost perfect reviews that it has earned. It is sorta pricey, but with food like theirs they can charge whatever they want. More...
I've been wanting to go to this place for a year since we first visited this area. Finally got in and ordered vanilla bean scone (excellent) and peach strawberry scone (pretty good). It was really crowded but we're glad we got in and got a few scones. We'll be back to try more, except they had a lot of lemon flavored scones and I'm not as big on lemon. More...
We so look forward to visiting Spring Lake so that we can visit The Scone Pony, which is always our first stop as they can sell out of their awesome scones pretty quick. Every time we come here, the line is out the door of this small place. I'm generally not a huge fan of scones, but I guess that's because I never had a great one like these. On this last visit, we got a lemon scone fresh out of the oven, and oh my, was it ever good! They have more than scones here, but this is clearly their specialty. Definitely worth a stop in, but you'll need to swim some laps in the ocean to work off those calories! More...
This place had big expectations to live up to, my friends have been saying how much they love every crumb that comes out of this place for months. Finally I had the chance to see if they lived up to the hype and they absolutely do - these are the best Scones I've had. ever. A box of four lemon poppy scones set me right, and I'm not ashamed to say I finished one off even before I got home. The shop itself is tasteful and cozy which lends itself to just the right niche for a small business like this. It also didn't hurt that the woman behind the counter was breathtaking. If I had to say anything critical its that I'm going to need to find new ways to burn off all the calories from coming back here. More...
Came here on a sunny Sunday, the place is very small, it can get a little crowded, just know what you want. The staff is half friendly, but the food makes up for it. We ordered a blueberry scone, sweet and fresh; Croissant, very fresh & flaky. We would have liked the scone toasted and possibly some spread on the croissant, but either way everything was exceptional.Totally worth coming to. More...
Such a cute little shop! The staff were so friendly and helpful with helping me decide which goodies to take home. They had blueberry, mixed berry, and lemon poppy scones left close to closing on a Friday afternoon, and plenty of other treats as well! Flourless peanut butter cookies, flourless chocolate cookies (with nuts), French macarons, cupcakes, tarts, fudge-topped brownies and more!I ended up choosing just a lemon poppy scone and the flourless chocolate cookie, even though I really just wanted one of everything. The scone - YUM. I've never had a real homemade scone like this, fluffy and light tasting, with poppy seeds dotting the inside and a light lemon glaze over top. HUGE too! Amazing - would definitely get this again, and would love to try their other flavors next time I'm in Spring Lake! The flourless chocolate cookie was also really big by NYC bakery standards (like Financier Parisserie or Payard) and was actually thick, chewy and brownie-like in texture, in addition to the nuts, unlike other flourless chocolate cookies I've had (which are usually thinner). Absolutely loved my choices and will definitely be back! More...
teeny tiny but adorable bakery. worth getting up early to get a scone, croissant, or any of the amazing items. never had anything but an amazing experience. love love love this place.
The SCONE-LY place I'll ever get pastries at the Jersey Shore again.Holy amazing scones!I can personally attest to the moist, flavorful, just-out-of-grandma's-oven freshness of the vanilla bean scone, the white chocolate raspberry and the orange cranberry. There were at least 3 other delicious flavors available on a Thursday afternoon but we wanted to try one of each (practically) of the other baked goods on display as well...Brownies, macaroons, cheesecake, cookies and cupcakes were ALL AMAZING. Any of these items could equally earn their namesake as well.Additionally, the shop is SO cute and the service is impeccable.Very impressive.HINT: Grab a box of these, a cup of coffee (or tea) and walk down the street (better yet, jog, as the calories will mount quickly after your first bite) to the gazebo on the beach and enjoy the quiet, lapping waves of the Atlantic Ocean. More...
BEST scones ever, especially the orange cranberry! Get there early or call ahead. The delicious treats are always served with a smile!
It seems like a waste of time to even be writing this. If the other 17 5-star reviews didn't make up your mind, what is one more going to do? Any yet here I am. Because those scones really are THAT good.Just do not make the sad mistake of promising them to a friend on a Monday or Tuesday morning. I cannot think of a worse start to a day than walking over to the Scone Pony, only to find out they're only opened Wednesday-Sunday. Well, I can, but I don't really want to. More...

I had my first scone at a local coffee shop that was carrying their product. Amazing. Think delicious biscuit meets scone dripped in sweet syrup-frosting. The scones are light and flakey while still maintaining moisture to make for an awesome treat. I actually drove to pick these up for visiting in-laws. Shop is not easy to find, use Navi. Make sure to check their hours...closed some days. They have a strict limit on the number of scones you can walk out with, so call in large orders ahead of time. You will be as amazed as I was after the first bite. More...
Awesome scones.... the shop is so cute and the owner gets down with the staff to get things done. I think every scone I tried was amazing. .. My only regret with coming here was not trying the ham and cheese croissants that they had for the day! Clientele is less than amazing.... stuck up snobs, BUT the bakery makes you feel more than welcome..... Scones are pretty big and got 4 for 12 bucks! Pretty good... if anyone knows how scones are made, they'd know that for QUALITY scones... it would cost more to make these than scones made with shortening... these scones taste so buttery and rich.... not easy on the waist line! There is a reason this bakery has five stars. It is that good! Do yourself a favor, go grab lunch at Ray's Cafe and walk around the corner to The Scone Pony. It is a tiny little shop with some outdoor tables, the friendliest staff and a display of delicious confections. You can choose from cookies, scones, cupcakes, and other varieties of baked goods. We left with some cookies, macaroons, a scone, cupcakes, an apple strudel, and mini cheesecake. All I can say is wow. This place will always hold a special memory for me now. My baby boy tried his first chocolate chip cookie from here. The cookie was a little crumbly, but would probably be amazing if you warmed it up a tiny bit. My flourless chocolate cookie was an experience is perfection. I don't know how they did it, but this was one of the best cookies I have ever had in my lifetime. It was crisp on the outside but moist and decadent on the inside. Wow, just wow. Everyone enjoyed their sweet treat. I will be back next time I'm in the area and will go out of my way to come here every trip. I really need one of those cookies now. More...
Just wanted to thank you guys again for helping with my lost Mercedes key.
If I die and go to Scone Heaven, I think it'd be pretty similar to the Scone Pony. These scones are so fluffy and buttery it's like biting into a cloud. A fruity, sweet, delicious cloud that you never knew existed in this world. When I'm within a 20 min driving radius and this place is open (which is not often because their hours are very limited), you can bet that I'm here, stuffing my face with some ethereal goodness. I have been hooked on their scones, literally driving over an hour from Mahwah to Spring Lake at least once a month for a vanilla scone. .. warm is best, just out of the oven. Well, today, I also bought an almond croissant... SO INCREDIBLE! I am so fussy about food and I have to say EVERYTHING I have tried at the Scone Pony is incredible... Oh, and if you are a peanut butter fan then you will LOVE (like I do!) their peanut butter cookie (about the size of an oreo) with some magical peanut sandwiched between two peanut butter cookies... OMG!!! I love the Scone Pony! More...
BEST BAKERY IN THE WORLD. From their scones, to the crumb cake to the cup cakes everything is absolutely mind-blowing. Everything tastes so fresh and homemade it's as if it was made in your own home. Getting me up on a weekend before noon is not an easy task...but Scone Pony prompts me to wake up in the morning to make sure I get my scone or crumb cake before they run out.The workers are very friendly and you can see them all baking right in front of you which adds to the charm. It's a little off the beaten path but right around the corner from Bailey's Market. They don't have any tables inside because it's too small but they do have a few tables outside. More...
I am a true lover of scones with my coffee and I have to say these are some of the best scones I have EVER had!! I have lived in many large cities where you have bakeries on almost every corner but none have produced a scone quite so delicious. The blueberry scones are just delightful. Soft, buttery and with the freshest blueberries! I also quite enjoy the cranberry (glazed and unglazed) plus the muffins are also delicious. If you haven't gone to this place yet, you are surely missing out! Take a few minutes and go pick up some amazing pastries! More...
I can't remember ever having tried a scone before this visit, but I'll never forget it. To be honest, when our friends suggested we stop in this place for a scone, I thought that sounded like a boring snack. I'm glad I was too polite to request ice cream instead. The place is tiny. Take three steps in and you're at the cash register, where behind the counter is a kitchen packed with busy bakers. There were about 10 different scone flavors to choose from. We tried the blueberry and mix berry scones. I loved it so much, we begged our friends to bring us back the next day to get some for breakfast. On the second visit we ordered chocolate chip, lemon poppy and vanilla bean. All so incredibly delicious, it's hard to say which I loved best. The scones are big and fresh. Get there early because certain flavors will sell out (ie. chocolate chip and lemon poppy). Also, they're only open Thursday to Sunday from 8am - 4 pm.This was life changing. I'll never turn down a scone again. More...
Raspberry Jelly Donut Muffin. HOLY COW ! Seriously the best thing I've eaten in a really long time. I stopped in here today to pick up some scones (which are excellent) and bought 2. No words to describe such deliciousness. Not a regular item, so call first to make sure they have them. More...
I'm giving this review a 5 star because that guy who reviewed (Brian S.) is spot on when it comes to reviewing local restaurants. He is correct when he says it is a hidden gem as I almost missed it driving there. I came in early on st. patrick's day to pick up some cupcakes for my family. They didn't have a huge selection just yet but I ordered 3 or 4 different varieties and they were all good/bad. One was to sweet and the other was perfectly moist and another was very light and another heavy.. you get the point. I ordered macaroons for my girlfriend and had my first macaroon in the united states (She usually brings back from Paris) and I thought they were great. Sure they are no Laduree but I'll take them considering there are no good bakeries around here. Heard the scones rock so I will have to come back and try. Best bakery around here for sure (Brian S. I agree on Flaky Tart as well!) and great service as well. Will return More...
Absolutely the best scones I've ever laid my lips on... Without a doubt! Always on my list of "first stops" when I come back to nj to visit family. My mouth is watering just thinking about them... More...
A hidden gem in Spring Lake you hardly notice the building on Washington Street as you drive by. But, by all means search them out and you will be rewarded with some the absolute best pastry, cakes and cookies to be found at any bakery in New Jersey. Every bit as good as the Flaky Tart in the Atlantic Highlands but not quite the selection and volume of sales. By all means do try one of their famous scones - Wow! We absolutely love their pecan pie and delicious brownies. More...
The Scone Pony made my fathers last birthday cake........it was so beautiful that we all just stared at it.......chocolate dipped strawberries on all corners and a delicious chocolate filling. ..mmmm.The scones are amazing.....my favorite is the vanilla glazed. The people who run it are fabulous....very accomodating and incredibly nice......they truly take pride in their creations :) More...
It's Saturday morning, you roll over in bed, blink your eyes a couple of times, do a trademark full body stretch and think to yourself, SCONES! I know I am not alone on this one. What a diamond in the rough, and by rough I mean a bakery surrounded by million dollar homes. Get your khaki's and sweater vest ready we are heading to spring lake. And all your outsiders, like myself, it is worth the venture. Sure the locals don't know who you are. Sure they look you over from head to toe trying to size you up, but don't worry that uncomfortable feeling will be quickly erased by some of the most delicious scones and pastries in Monmouth County, NJ. There is no real good time to go as they always seem to have a crowed. I do suggest going early as they tend to sell out of the more popular scone concoctions. I am only concerned with a small detail in that their name closely resembs a legendary bar and band favorite The Stone Pony in "beautiful" Asbury Park, NJ. I can't wait for the day when i pull up to the Scone Pony and see a Tour Bus parked outside. The looks of yet another Bon Jovi or Bruce Springsteen puzzled holding his guitar in one hand and a mixed berry scone in the other. To each their own, to each their scone! More...
I know pastries. I know how they're supposed to look, taste, and feel.I can tell when shortening is used in place of the sweet, sweet bovine nectar known as butter. I know that scones are supposed to be tender and buttery, not dry and crumbly. I know cupcakes are supposed to be delicate, supple little cakes topped with real buttercream icing. The Scone Pony gives me hope that there are still people like me left in this country; people who appreciate the lost art of patisserie. This shop not only offers up some of the most visually appealing pastries, cakes, and scones you can find on the East Coast but they taste equally as wonderful. If this place ever closes, I will burn down Spring Lake.**Disclaimer: I will not really burn down Spring Lake. This is an empty threat. Please don't arrest me. More...
This place has the best scones, hands down. I went to Spring Lake on vacation over the summer and my friend's uncle brought scones from Scone Pony, they were amazing!!
