Great little movie theater. They show the classics & sometimes more modern movies like The Avengers which they showed on free comic book day. First film I saw here was Indiana Jones:Raiders of the Lost Arc and that was a pretty neat experience. Sat at the top balcony which was pretty cool. Concessions are cheap.Seats are hard but this is an older theater so that is to be expected. Great place to go if they have a film you are interested in. More...

My first living memory is of watching He-Man at this theater with my older brother in the early eighties. When I found out that it was being reopened for it's original purpose, a movie cinema; I was ecstatic. Having proposed to my girlfriend, we were trying to come up with a venue and a mutual friend of ours suggested The Rialto Theater, what a brilliant idea! Let me say that the owners of this establishment are the kindest, most easy to work with people I've ever encountered. Or wedding went off without a hitch and it was a beautiful, unique ceremony that I'll remember for a lifetime. This place brings back the nostalgia of days gone by, but brings it into the 21'st century. This its far and away one of the coolest places in downtown Denison and look forward to revisiting with my wife for date night. Thanks to the Rialto Theater for taking part in the happiest day of my life. More...

I don't get to review places I frequented as a child that are still around. it was a great thrill to get to see Rocky Horror at my home town theater. I saw every movie I saw as a kid at this theater. Bambi, The Godfather (my first R rated film), Bonnie and Clyde, all the John Wayne movies. So when my sister told me they were showing RHPS, I was there. The theater looks remarkably similar to my memories. They guys who have reopened it have painstakingly restored it and there great work shows. Had a great time and look forward to more. More...
