I've used 8 Thorpe Road for a couple of events recently – we used it for an end of project dissemination & celebration event, and also hired it for a 2 day training programme. It’s a beautiful building with a welcoming, funky yet professional atmosphere. The décor, lighting, equipment and refreshments are of an excellent quality. The staff are welcoming and helpful – nothing was too much trouble for them.

In a world of corporate ordinariness, the No 8 team really have created something refreshingly different. I will certainly use them again, and am delighted to recommend them. More...

Ideal location - opposite Norwich Railway Station. Parking also available on site. Contemporary, welcoming, professional environment. Strong supporter of local products - right down to the lovely handwash in the toilet! Top notch hot & cold drinks. I was very impressed & would highly recommend if you only want to work on your laptop for an hour or so or hold a business meeting with a dozen delegates. I have used Number 8 in a number of capacities - as a venue for a small meeting (LOVE Re-hydrate! - great refreshments), as a tenant for my virtual office and as a booker for a large event in Big 8. Without fail the Number 8 team are professional, super friendly and ultra accommodating. Nothing is too much trouble. They are wonderful in offering me a professional venue for my business - Lauren always e-mails the minute I have any mail and I have even had a knock on my front door to find the lovely Mitchell hand-delivering my post to my home; othertimes Sarah has met me in town with it. I have worked in the luxury 5 star hotel industry and Sarah and Richard deliver a product and service that easily meets these standards - unfailingly professional with a can do attitude that means nothing is too much trouble. They work so hard to offer an inclusive, sustainable, edgy and practical venue, which meets the varied and sometimes off-the-wall needs of their clients, and they have never failed to deliver. Sarah and her team are extremely helpful. No 8 is an excellent venue to hold an event, we usually have around 15-20 attendees cabaret style and the room we use is perfect for that. There is a separate room next door for teas/coffees (more choices than you can imagine!) and where the food is served - the breakfast bacon rolls from Archers are worth it alone! Broadland District Council's EcoCube training facility at Rackheath have used The RedCat Partnership for years to deliver health and safety, food safety and manual handling courses. They are reliable, professional and most of all make learning FUN!
