The Queens Hotel

Stayed for a night with a groupon deal. All the staff were friendly and smiley. Breakfast was plentiful and regularly topped up. Yes the place could do with some modernisation but there are lots of modern hotels in Bournemouth which are far more expensive. Everything worked and we slept well. What can I say....this trip is definitely going to be memorable. From the first arrival to departure the staff were so welcoming and the atmosphere was just great. The spa facilities were very clean and reasonable. We used the swimming pool and sauna and were totally relaxed. The food was incredible and very tasty. Had such an amazing time at this hotel the food was lovely, room was cosy, bar and lobby where rather warm and inviting and the prices are amazing for the service that was provided have nothing but praises for this hotel loved every moment of it||The staff where very friendly and helped with any issues and was very approachable had an amazing time definitely coming back next year

We went for a Dickensian themed murder mystery night, disco and christmas party. Great atmosphere and good food at a fair price for an event at this time of year. The hotel was buzzing with lots of different events including some sort of fancy dress party where there was someone dressed as Popeye and a Smurf, which was fun! Our Girls Weejend away Dec 2019 This hotel certainly has character. It was really nice to stay in a hotel that's not too modern & caters for all ages. We went on a weekend to Bournemouth and just wanted a cheap room to stay in for a night out. It is really close to the main town (10 min walk to clubs) and with our Groupon voucher we got dinner, wine and breakfast for £50! My family and I stayed in the Queens hotel for a week in October. The staff were always helpful and willing to solve any issue. Breakfasts were excellent with a fantastic range of food, pancakes freshly made to poached smoked haddock with poached egg. The bar menu was standard and food good. We recently stayed at The Queens hotel for the Bodyfit Bootcamp being run there - the bootcamp itself was simply amazing, but wanted to also say how amazing this hotel is. The reception was quick and efficient and we were soon checked in to our room on the 2nd floor. the room was spotlessly clean and came with a large double bed and a single bed. no complaints so far. the bathroom had a bath and shower over. the bath was actually a welcome surprise, so many hotels these days only have shower rooms, there was nothing better than finishing the bootcamp for the day to have a soak in a lovely deep hot bath. hopefully after the refurbishment the rooms will still have baths - this was certainly a plus point for us. very warm and comfortable rooms. || The food was really good, we had a smaller table-d-hote menu for the boot campers but were all meals that were on the standard menu. Everything we had was tasty and piping hot, the beef and mushroom pie with filo pastry was certainly the highlight, just delicious. nothing was too much trouble for the waiting staff and extra vegetables were supplied if asked for, all of the veg was fresh too. the soups were equally good and freshly made.||Breakfast was the standard buffet fare which was plentiful, the breakfast menu also allowed you to order poached eggs, fish or kippers etc. most mornings we had the packed eggs on toast which were cooked to perfection. || In 5 nights we only had one meal that was a little disappointing, cauliflower pasta starter dish was too simple and i could have done better at home perhaps the chef was day off that day? The other meal certainly made up for the one disappointment. || We sat in the bar most nights and played cards or chatted, the bar which was well stocked and even during the day we could go in there for a cappuccino although not always manned, ringing the bell somebody was usually there to serve you within a minute or two,|| The bootcamp itself was held in one of the function rooms we didn't get chance to use the hotel gym although when we looked it looked a bit small and could have done with a static bike i may have then used it. the pool was lovely and warm the jacquizzi too nice and hot. The hotel location was good too, 2 minutes walk and you are at the cliff top and can go down the zig-zag down to the beach or walk along the cliff top towards the chine gardens. 2 minutes the other way and you are by the college and have a huge selection of restaurants or bars.||I must say all the staff were really friendly and helpful and would greet you with a 'good morning' or hello during the day. ||In all an excellent hotel and we have already booked bootcamp for next year and are looking at staying again for one of the murder mystery nights.||well done to all the staff||thank you More...

The hotel is charming, the staff are friendly and the spa center was decent. The location was perfect, 10 minutes walking distance to the town centre and the sandy beach. The train station is not far either.Wifi signal was very low, it was free but we couldn't use it at all. It's an older building, the walls are thin and we could hear people next door. The changing rooms in the spa center were not very clean. It was good for our short stay and definitely good value for money.
