I first came across Rowan when he was providing PA support to a funeral in our local church (I was coordinating the music). I was immediately impressed not only by the flexible and creative way he tackled the technical aspects, but also by his sensitivity to the occasion. I have since hired small quantities of audio gear from Rowan to supplement our band's normal gear – requests have been dealt with promptly, satisfactorily and cheerfully, even though they have been very small in scale. At Jacob's Well, we've used The Production Works on two of our major shows and two concerts. Rowan is beyond reliable. Not only does he have a strong creative eye and ear (delivering excellent sound mixing in tricky venues as well as designing very well lit shows) he, and his team are remarkably easy to work with, versatile, accommodating and professional.
On our last show, we asked for a very difficult piece of projection. The company went the extra mile to make sure we had the right equipment and software, then spent a vey long time getting the end result exactly as we needed it. It was a demanding task, which many other companies would have dismissed as 'not possible' very early on. I was, and am, extremely grateful to The Production Works for making this possible.
Everything, from pre-show production meetings to end of show clear up is done with good grace, cheerful attitude and the all important 'can do' approach. I've worked with audio/visual individuals in the past who have been difficult and some who are excellent. The Production Works are in the 'excellent' camp.

The Production Works provided excellent service at a recent 'Question Time' event I organised where each member of the panel had a microphone plus there was a roving radio mic for the audience and their questions. The sound quality through the PA system was really good, the setup was all completed in plenty of time before the event and there were no technical issues. This was the second time I had used The Production Works as service was equally good the first time. A thoroughly professional outfit. Recommended. More...
