The Posh Affair

Working with the Posh Affair was great from start to finish. I love wedding planning so when my sister got engaged, she asked me to help find the vendors for big things even though I live out of state. After checking out the “recommended” vendors of the venue we selected and not loving them, I started researching other options when I stumbled upon The Posh Affair for catering purposes. Not only is Posh very quick to respond and up front with pricing, they were also willing to be creative with us. When we decided to go for food stations, we asked about the possibility of a German food station to honor some of the parents’ backgrounds. They were happy to come up with some great food options to get a German station that everyone loved. But, even though I stumbled upon Posh for the delicious food, it was really the Day-Of Coordination that makes Posh a “must have” vendor. Weddings can be stressful and you do not want your family, friends, or the bride to be worrying about things going smoothly on your big day. Alexis was there to answer all of our questions leading up to wedding day and, on the day of the wedding, she was an absolute rock star. While she stayed out of the way and guests likely did not even notice her floating around, she was there for every minor detail — from sneaking up behind the bride’s sweetheart table after their first dance to fix an out of place bobby pin to noticing that the bride had been handed a wedding card at the photo booth and quickly grabbing it from her to place in the card box so it did not get lost. The rest of the staff was equally as great bringing food and drinks to the bridal party pre-wedding and post-wedding before joining the reception. My fiancé, his parents, and I just had our tasting appointment with the Posh Affair and I am so incredibly excited for our November 2019 wedding and having them cater! I can confidently say that we made a great choice with them and they are so accommodating. The tasting appointment itself was a great and fun experience, the food was delicious, and the plating was gorgeous. They are very professional and on top of everything already. They pay attention to the fine details and they are leaps and bounds ahead of any other caterer we met with. I am very excited to have Posh Affair be included in our big day! More...

The Posh Affair was great! They were super flexible throughout our entire experience, which we really appreciated since we were planning and paying for our own wedding. We hired Alexis as our day-of coordinator and that was one of the best decisions we made throughout the planning process. There wasn't one thing I had to stress or worry about the day of our wedding because Alexis was there and she took care of business. Also, the food was better the night of our wedding than at our tasting (and it was already super good at the tasting)! I was very impressed by their staff as well. I cannot say enough good things about Alexis and Loretta of The Posh Affair! My fiancé and I have been working with them since April (2017). It has been an absolute dream. Our wedding will be a destination wedding since we live in Los Angeles, CA, so to prepare for our upcoming trip to Conroe/Montgomery TX (where our wedding will be) I began doing a little research.

I found The Posh Affair while researching caterers in the area and I was immediately impressed upon entering their website. The site is beautifully done, features stunning photography of their work and is so thorough. I found all the information I needed, plus more! It turns out that they also offer wedding planning and day-of-coordination services. Score! Two-in-one! This was definitely a service I was going to need. But, it wasn’t long until my eyes and heart were drawn to the philanthropic component of the The Posh Affair. They donate all remaining and unserved food from their events to The Montgomery County Women’s Center. I knew I had to meet the team behind this incredible company.

So, we scheduled a tasting and were able to bring a few members of our family along for the ride. Alexis greeted us with a big smile upon our arrival. She took us back into the kitchen to show us where all the food is prepared. There we met Loretta, the brilliant chef behind their delicious meals who also happens to be Alexis’ mom. We sipped on mimosas as we tasted a few hors d’oeuvres, including the scrumptious crawfish beignet. So yummy!

Next, we were taken into the tasting room which was so beautifully decorated. The plate settings were fabulous and included a name card for each family member. It was personalized and absolutely perfect. A true testament to their talent and taste! The food came out family style. We tried the wildflower honey-lacquered chicken and venison tips with vidalia gravy for our main entree. The accompaniments were the white cheddar mac & cheese and buttered broccolini with almonds. Our meal was divine!

After the tasting Alexis and Loretta met us at our venue, which is also my aunt’s home, to do a walk through with us and get a feel for our special day. Alexis and Loretta were happy to go through my check list of questions and made sure every last one of them was answered. They were so accommodating!

Since then, I have been working remotely with The Posh Affair to plan and cater my big day in April (2018). Alexis has been my main point of contact and is SO responsive. She’s gone above and beyond — sending me video walk throughs for potential rehearsal dinner venues, setting up appointments, finding vendors, giving me creative input, etc. — you name it, she can do it! Planning a wedding can be daunting. The decision to bring the The Posh Affair on as our caterer and wedding planner/coordinator was the smartest/best decision I’ve made when it comes to our wedding. A huge weight was lifted off my shoulders. Alexis and Loretta have made this process so enjoyable, so easy and so fun. This mother/daughter duo is a force to be reckoned with. We feel so fortunate to have found Alexis and The Posh Affair. Alexis was so friendly, professional and helpful from the moment of our first contact which was just an inquiry by us searching and researching various vendors.
We had secured a venue- we thought- December 2017 for January 2018. The deposit was paid, then it all went downhill from there. In March we received the news that the venue would NOT be built in time for the wedding- they were disappointing already, and that was the last straw. I reached out to Alexis because we were considering them to do our catering but I remembered that she also planned/coordinated events. I wanted POSH to "be the one" after she diligently stuck by us and helped us find our perfect venue before she had any contract or financial commitment from us whatsoever. We chose The Carriage House in Montgomery. We later had a tasting with Posh that made us feel like VIP's. IT WAS STUNNING! Every single detail was considered- half of it we never even expected, like a gorgeous centerpiece, music, place settings,.... it's a long list! Then finally- we got to TASTE! The presentations were all beautiful, the food-- let's just say it was very tough to decide what NOT to have....So, we are anxiously awaiting the big day and are confident it will be more than we hope for with this great company. I am so glad I chose the Posh Affair as my wedding caterer. I love all the menu options they have and anything can be customized to your individual taste. You are crazy if you do not choose The Post Affair to be your event caterer! While we have yet to have our wedding with them, I have been blown away from the first point of contact and I fully trust they will go above and beyond day of. Alexis and her family are so sweet, attentive to detail, and truly understand how to listen to their clients needs and then deliver on them. On top of all of that, their food is DELICIOUS! It's 10x better than any other catered food that I have had at other weddings. You can tell they really put their heart and soul into their company and what they produce for their clients. I truly can’t say enough great things about The Posh Affair. We used their planning and catering services for my daughter’s wedding in April. Loretta created a wonderfully tasteful menu - from cocktail hour through post dinner /dance floor hor d’oeuvres, which were all served by a classy, well-trained staff. Everything was delicious and enjoyed by our guests. Alexis’ friendly demeanor and superb organizational skills gave my daughter a tremendous level of calmness, allowing her to truly enjoy her wedding. Throughout the entire planning process, no questions went unanswered and no challenges went unsolved with amazing detail and professionalism. With Alexis and The Posh Affair at the helm, all of the vendors aligned perfectly into the plan to create a flawless ceremony and reception, even in spite of the sudden drop in temperature and rain. No Need to Look Further!!! This is the caterer you want to book! We tried several caterers for my daughter’s wedding in July 2018 at Magnolia Bells venue and as soon as we did the tasting at Posh Affair, we knew this was the one. Their food was absolutely by far the best we tasted. All of our guests just raved about the food. We chose to do family style serving to be a little different than most weddings. The food was plentiful and the servers asked our guests if they needed more when they saw an empty platter. No one left hungry. Another aspect that was very important was the service. Alexis told me her staff was the best and she was right. They treated everyone as if they were royalty, especially the wedding party. Posh Affair exceeded our expectations with their service. They made sure the wedding party received water, drinks and hors d’ourves during the picture taking hour after the ceremony in addition to our guests in the reception hall. All of us that were left behind for pictures got to have our own cocktail hour. That was so nice. Our guests loved the tamale cakes and bacon wrapped chicken while they waited for the wedding party. Alexis was so easy to work with during the planning phase. She offered lots of ideas and offered her help with anything we needed. We used her to book our linens which took an extra item off my list of things to do. They delivered the linens promptly, early in the morning, so we could start decorating. Our wedding is 5 months away, but I can't say enough great things about The Posh Affair so far! We knew as soon as we walked into our tasting that they were something special. From the tablescape that captured our theme to the incredible food, Alexis and Loretta made our decision so easy with their attention to detail and thoughtfulness. On top of the aesthetics and ambiance, the food was incredible! They really took the time to get to know us as a couple and understand our vision for our big day. If you are a bride looking for a unique and delicious catering experience, The Posh Affair is your one stop shop! I hired Alexis and The Posh Affair team for my wedding in December. From the first inquiry and proposal to our tasting this past weekend, the execution and attention to detail has been nothing short of perfection. Alexis' energy is contagious and her passion for weddings and events shines through. Knowing she is the driving force behind your event brings a sense of ease that it will be a success! At the tasting, while we were trying each delicious item that was hand selected for our menu, I mentioned to Alexis that my fiance is not a fan of cake and would prefer to have pies for his grooms "cake". To our surprise, she told us that her family also owned Pie in the Sky, a cute little bakery just minutes down the road from their tasting kitchen. Immediately following our tasting she sent us to the bakery where we had a tasting plate of pies waiting for us to try. We were already stuffed from trying our menu with some favorites including the Chicken and Waffles, Wagyu Beef Slider, Cornbread Dressing, Southern Green Beans, and Arugula Salad, but somehow we made room. Each pie option was unique and special, but we ultimately decided on the Coconut Buttermilk and Pecan. My fiance and I left the tasting with overwhelming feelings of excitement as we are confident The Posh Affair will execute our vision and make our wedding day everything we imagined and more! I reached out to Posh Affair/Alexis at the start of planning my corporate holiday party that I was arranging to host at a residence. I had reached out to another catering company as well, but what initially drew me to working with Posh Affair was their top-to-bottom service. They of course do catering, but also were an invaluable help in coordinating the rentals, figuring out best use of the space at the venue, and guiding me in the entire planning process. Alexis and Loretta were a pleasure to work with every step of the way. The food was incredible, their willingness to make last minute adjustments were greatly appreciated, their help on the fly (sourcing heaters same-day of the event when it was going to be unexpectedly in the 30’s for an indoor/outdoor event!) was amazing and impressive. Alexis was always quick to respond, and I felt like my event was a priority, even though they were obviously handling other events as well. I received so many complements during and after the event, including passing their information on to other guests who wanted to use their service after seeing them in action. There are not enough good words to describe this dynamic duo! Loretta and Alexis exceeded our expectations in every way. They orchestrated the evening like clockwork, it was amazing. You all went above and beyond to make sure every detail was executed perfectly for Kaitlin and Mason.
