The food was DELICIOUS! Pam and her team catered our wedding (cocktail hour AND reception) for 130 people in October, in the mountains and even though she couldn't get her truck in to cook on site (rough dirt roads to get in), she delivered! She was always very responsive via e-mail to any questions we had. She provided quotes quickly and we found her prices to be very reasonable. She came out to check out our venue in advance to become familiar with the set up areas and together we came up with a game plan to navigate some unexpected twists and turns. She provided wonderfully delicious vegetarian options as well and made PLENTY of food for everyone to have seconds! Just be sure to discuss a game plan and what all it entails (extra staff, increased prices, delivery times, etc.) in advance incase they can't get their truck into your venue- that way you know what to expect when the plan changes ;-) Regardless, Pam and the Pit Stop BBQ will make sure your event is filled with incredible food! If you have not had the pleasure of ordering from this awesome caterer, then you have not lived!! I contacted the Pit Stop BBQ with hopes of having my granddaughter's birthday party catered. Pam was so amazing, helpful and friendly. Not only did she help me choose the right menu, but she also worked with my budget and gave me a such a delicious variety of food. We opted to have the food dropped off and got our food right on time. Pam brought us very generous portions and it was so delicious. My guests could not stop raving about it and for an amazing quote we received so much food. Just had The Pit Stop BBQ cater our sons first b day party and everything was perfect. Setting this up with Pam was extremely easy and from our initial conversation she was a pleasure to work with organizing for this party. Pam even took the time to come out the day before to check out where should would be setting up her tables and dishes. The food was amazing! We went with the chicken and tri tip as our main entrees with Mac an Cheese, bbq baked beans , garlic mashed potatoes, cole slaw and grilled veggies as sides. Great food! We had them cater our company lunch of about 200 people and they did a great job. We had the roasted chicken, pulled pork, mac & cheese, roasted root vegetables and baked beans, everything was really good. Â Also ordered the roasted vegetable vegetarian sandwich for our vegetarians, they were very happy with it, said it was one of the best vegetarian options they've had. We have a whole hog catered every year for a Friendsgiving. Every year the hog comes out dry and flavorless. This year we called Pit Stop, they came to my house with a huge trailer with its own full kitchen and smoker. We had a whole hog,turkey,and a hand full of sides catered. The service was amazing, they really worked hard to make it a great event. The Hog was cooked perfect, full of flavor and tender. All the sides and turkey was great too. She did our wedding for over 100 people last year and a lunch for 25 people this month! I can't thank Pam and her team enough for catering our wedding in Leona Valley CA. We ordered pulled pork, chicken, blue cheese cranberry pecan salad garlic mashed potatoes and frilled veggies. I know- you're thinking BBQ for a wedding?! We had a carnival themed wedding and do not be fooled- Pam at the Pit Stop was the most amazing find! ! People cannot stop talking about our delicious food! When does that ever happen at a buffet wedding? When you hire Pam and the team at Pit Stop. Her menu options are hugely varied and she also has secret dishes not on her website. We hired Pam for my dad's 60th birthday dinner for 30 people. Overall, we were happy with her food and service. Pulled pork, trip tip, baked beans, mac and cheese were all very good. Salad was okay, corn bread was a little on the dry side. But the main dishes were good and they were on time, ready to serve the guests with smiles and great service. There were some changes that needed to be made, and a few miscommunications but overall, everything turned out well. Our family had the pleasure of using Pam the second time on 9/28/14 for our pit lunch for Streets of Lancaster. She did an amazing job as always with coming up with ideas and making it work for us. Food was to die for! Her pulled pork was so moist and had the perfect amount of smoke taste to it! We had people that did not show up, so took home the leftovers and ate every last bite! We had this catering truck make food for an event at our home. The food was fantastic and everyone was very happy w/ it. It was all fresh and hot as they just park their truck outside and bring the food in to serve. My only slight gripe is that they ran out of sides (for 2nd and 3rd helpings) but that was due to the large portions they served our guests. I would highly suggest them as caterors. More...

We have a multitude of signature dishes—dishes that we have created and that always receive great reviews. From Salmon to BBQ meats and salads to side dishes like our baked beans or our 7 Cheese Mac & Cheese, these recipes won't be found on other menus with the stunning flavor impact that our recipes deliver. We take the time to develop recipes using the freshest ingredients and herbs and spices that accentuate a meat or vegetable's flavor. Even our rubs, sauces and salad dressing are made by us. What this means to our customers? Freshness and taste that you and your guests won't forget.
How do you go about creating the perfect menu for your clients?
Our motto is "Catering to YOUR Needs!" This means that we serve you and your guests the menu you want and that fits your budget. We don't offer a menu with fixed side dishes and meats. Instead, you choose the meats, entrées, appetizers, side dishes and desserts that you want. We even have menu items that address dietary issues giving our customers the ability to serve gluten free, dairy free, vegetarian and vegan dishes for those guests with special needs. We have a conversation with you and can make recommendations to fit what you desire to create the perfect menu for you and your guests.
What do you love most about your job?
This is a great profession. I love meeting and helping clients with their events. I love feeding people great food and know that they are leaving the event satisfied and full. To see the look of happiness and smiles and to hear positive comments on the food makes me feel as though I have been successful as a chef and have taken some of the stress of the event off of my clients' shoulders.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I owned a graphic design business before I started the catering business. A change in the way the graphic design operated warranted a change in my career. What better way to remain creative than to develop recipes and feed people? So was born The Pit Stop BBQ.
Why should our clients choose you?
I believe that our clients choose us because we value customer service and serving great food. We take pride in what we do and how we treat our clients and their guests. We take pride in fixing food that is fresh and prepared specifically for each event, never using canned products straight out of the can or frozen foods. From our bbq sauce, rubs and salad dressings to our smoked meats, custom entrées and side dishes, you can tell that you are eating freshly prepared foods from scratch. The taste makes all the difference in the world and your guests will know that too!
