Great fun, helpful attentive staff and the food and wine were great fun to explore - especially the rose. There's an extensive wine list to browse through and nearly all are available by the glass. A neat idea in a small venue but a big atmosphere. Well done to everyone involved. More...

Great little bistro in Beverley! Amazing selection of cheeses and charcuterie - couldn't decide what to have as it all sounded delicious. We went for a selection of 5 cheeses - unusual choice and all so tasty, charcuterie board and raclette. Everything was fresh and tasted wonderful! Cannot wait to go back! More...

Small but we were able to get a table and had not booked on a Saturday evening. Excellent food with enough choice to make it interesting. Loved the fact that we could choose our cheese and meats or let the chef do it. Would thoroughly recommend. More...

A taste sensation what more could someone want than cheese, potatoes, bread and pickles. The raclette was definately worth coming for! Excellent service and also beautiful non alcoholic gin type drinks which were amazing and beats a Diet Coke or lime and soda any day. A gem of a place, it felt like a real treat! More...

We went here for the first time on Saturday and had the tartiflette and the cassoulet which were both absolutely delicious and incredibly rich. The portions may look small but trust me they are perfect size you don't need any more. It's nice and cozy inside, and great to have something a bit different in Beverley More...

My favourite places to eat are Bologna Italy, Seville in Spain and just about anywhere in Sicily where it’s a small plate meat and cheese fest. So when we stumbled on The Pig & Whistle, it gave us deep joy. Death by gluttony. My motto is: ‘fat is your friend!’ More...

Went here on Thursday for date night. We were worried on first look of the menu that we might struggle to find something to eat, but my goodness, we had three plates to share after some olives and beer sticks and it was simply divine. The waiter was really helpful and advised us when we weren't sure. If you love excellent charcuterie and fresh ingredients, you must try it. Something different and welcome for Beverley. More...

What a little gem this place is.
Visited last night with my husband and had a lovely evening. The restaurant itself is lovely and cosy, fab music playing on a little record player, open kitchen, lovely staff and fabulous wine-what more could you want. ..?
The food was divine and the staff took their time to suggest dishes and explain the menu. Would highly recommend visiting- you certainly won’t be disappointed!
Thankyou for a lovely evening Pig and Whistle!

We had been looking to visit this small bistro since it opened but this was the first opportunity which actually presented itself as an achievable prospect.
The menu is best enjoyed in the company of friends as the dishes are designed to be shared and sampled together. Most of the dishes seemed to follow the "kiss principle" with the magic in the selection and combination of ingredients - which could even be shot or foraged (!) - but generate a rare and intense variety of flavours well worth our wait.
A niche alternative to much of the dining on offer locally, this comparative newcomer to the Beverley dining economy is highly recommended and clearly earns its 5*commendation.

Fantastic Sunday brunch today. Really lovely inside and superb food - with some especially good charcuterie.

Wonderful service as well with really knowledgable and friendly staff - even coming up with a delicious off menu cheese and ham toastie for our son. To be fair, he didn't get much of a look in as my wife "helped" him out with it.

Highly recommended and we'll be back next weekend!

Been here 6+ times in the last year since opening and cannot fault the level of service, ingredients for dishes and obvious passion for this establishment to succeed. Thank you.

On a recent trip to see family & friends my fiancé and I were gifted £100 to spend at the P&W for an engagement dinner. The restaurant, service, and food blew us away. We both live and work in London and the P&W was akin to some of the best restaurants we’ve eaten in at home, and even better in beautiful Beverley. I know the specials change regularly but I cannot recommend the Scallop enough. The prawns were perfection, the bruschetta brilliant and the croquetas were divine. We tried several dishes and all of them exceeded our expectations. To top it all off the wine and cheese were fantastic. My only regret about our visit was that I didn’t try the octopus but there’s a reason to go back! 100% recommend the P&W. Even if it seems a little bit different, there’s something for everyone there. (Plus, excellent facilities, baby change, wheelchair access). More...
