Where to even start? I'm generally not interested in personal training, but I saw John training with this Urban Strength Bar (USB) and just had to try it out.
Got my free session and here I am now having done about 12 sessions with the USB!
The benefits are immense! The obvious one would be greatly increased core strength and control. Few weeks of that beats months of planks, leg raisers etc... And when you do return to those more commonly know abdominal exercises, you can do them better because you've got this increased understanding & control over your whole core.
It doesn't stop there though. Due to the nature of the training and the calisthenic like positions, my grip strength has drastically improved. I can now pull those extra 2-3 dead lift reps & pull ups that I couldn't before because my grip was giving up first.
The improvement that I expected the least yet probably the most important one health wise,is about general posture and back muscles. My back just doesn't hurt anymore, even when I'm tired and had a long day or so. It's quite logical when you think about it, correct posture and a strong core will have that positive effect.
I couldn't recommend the USB more, it hits every single muscle inside out, shapes you up, it's really versatile as you can do strength, endurance, cardio etc, even helps with injuries! Also John is one of the few that can actually teach you this in the whole of Europe.

How do you help your clients achieve their fitness goals?
We achieve our clients goals by working closely together on all aspects of their lifestyle change. For example we offer such things as personal shopping guide and meal prep lessons where we teach our clients how to eat the correct foods and how to prep meals suited to a busy lifestyle.
What’s the secret to getting the body of your dreams?
The secret to getting the body of your dreams is simple. It's you. We are there for guidance and support. The best thing about getting that dream body is knowing that you have achieved it from all the hard work and dedication you have put in.
What do you love most about your job?
Seeing change in peoples lives. Nothing gives me a feeling of fulfilment than seeing someone who isn't keen in exercise becoming a gym addict from training with me.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I've run my own businesses since for 12 years and each one has been as successful as the last. What drove me to start a personal training business was my wife, who is also a personal trainer. We wanted to create a personal training business that had a family feel behind it and we feel we have achieved this.
