The Old Stand is a handy spot to stop for lunch there is a varied menu,booking is important so you won't be disappointed however if its busy there might be a wait but it will be worth it, this bar and restaurant is very clean and welcoming the staff are helpful and friendly ,worth a visit.

Simply amazing. Were searching for the place to eat after visiting Foynes Museum and the restaurants in the town didn't appeal at all. Didn't expect anything special from this restaurant but it exceeded expectations strongly. The food was amazing, very good variety, nicely cooked, we were very pleased and enjoyed a lot. I have been to the Old stand a few times for dinner,visited there again last week for birthday dinner,staff are so nice and welcoming especially the waiter that served us,and of course the food is fantastic,beautiful decor also,thank you.

Just a note to say thanks so much for the beautiful welcome and meal for Neds christening. Firstly the food was superb and everyone enjoyed every course! Secondly the decor and pub and beautifully decorated and so homely. Thirdly was lovely having a bar upstairs too and toilet especially with kids. But can I say especially your staff are a credit to you. We were so warmly welcomed from the onset. I think our main man's name was Freddie I'm so sorry if I've got that wrong I've baby brain!! He went above and beyond for us and made it so personal. I'm not sure how he remembered so many names but his kindness did not go unnoticed! Thanks so much from the bottom of my heart we will be back to dine again soon I'm sure More...
