This picture says it all. The Nixons were more than just photographers, they were our greatest companions throughout the entire day. ..from start to finish. From bustling my dress to making sure we ate dinner, they were there for every second. It's hard to believe they spent so much of their time and energy making sure we enjoyed ourselves, and were still able to capture every moment so beautifully. Not only do they love love, but they also know that wedding days can be full of mishaps, and sometimes you just need to adapt. When our best man was significantly late because he failed to pick up his tuxedo until 30 minutes prior to pictures, and then realized it was at a location 4 hours away, the Nixons quickly adjusted our timeline and kept this information behinds the scenes until all was settled. They also have a way of knowing just what you need. Despite the mishap, we were ahead of schedule prior to the ceremony. Instead of taking in more formal pictures, Beth suggested we take some down time to relax with our wedding party and family. I didn't realize it, but I needed this down time, emotionally and mentally, more than I could ever imagined (and of course, some pretty special, and candid pictures were taken during this time with the people that mean the most to us). My husband and I used the Nixon’s Photography for our engagement shoots and wedding day and they did an AMAZING job capturing the moment in each photo. Initially we felt the engagement session was unnecessary, but when we did it, we realized how important that session was for them to get to know us and what we were looking for. They learned a lot about us as a couple, not to mention they provided us with an over the top-beautiful book to use during the wedding. They really have a knack for getting to know the couples they work with and we grew quite close during our sessions. When you’re done you’ll have more than just pictures of you and your occasion, you’ll be left with new friends and life long photos of the emotions and the moments you want to capture. I cannot express how wonderful our experiences with Justin and Beth have been. I am not comfortable in front of a camera, especially not in front of a camera and some strangers, and I was very nervous about being photographed for our wedding. I knew how important it was to find a great photographer to capture the moments of our special day and that I would just have to get over the anxiety I had when it came to being the center of attention. I am not exaggerating when I say that I immediately felt comfortable with Justin and Beth. The day that we met them, I felt such peace and any anxiety I had about being photographed melted away. They made me feel so comfortable and they are such a joy to be around. Throughout the year of planning, I was lucky to meet with them several times and have the very important engagement shoot that would provide me with confidence in myself and how I came across in photos. It turns out that an amazing photographer really DOES make you look amazing in photos- you just have to trust them! Trust came easily with Justin and Beth. They work so well together and they’re just so fun to be around; they make you laugh constantly and they make sure you’re having a fun time the whole time! The engagement shoot is so important and I am so glad that they encourage you to do it. They see the importance of getting to know their clients. During that shoot, you can let go and you can all get to know each other. Justin and Beth quickly become your friends and you fall in love with them during that session. That makes it all so much more fun and smooth for the big day! The wedding day was amazing. Justin and Beth went above and beyond, and I mean it. Justin had to help me put on my dress because I had so many buttons that my mom and sister couldn’t conquer alone. Beth taught us how to cut our wedding cake and how to get it onto a plate without dropping it everywhere so we would look semi-prepared for that moment. They both helped to keep my bride brain stress-free and kept me laughing all day. There were many moments where Justin would just be quiet for a second because his talented and creative brain was coming up with an amazing idea! He’d often preface with, “I know this seems weird, but trust me”. TRUST HIM! You will have the best memories captured in the most creative and perfect ways. You will look, and feel, phenomenal and The Nixons will do an absolutely amazing job of capturing your special moments. Justin and Beth are the best photography couple around! They are so welcoming and truly make you feel comfortable in front of the camera. Beth did our engagement shoot, while Justin did my bridal portraits and wedding. Both of them are so creative when it comes to background, lighting, and poses. Justin will even get out on the dance floor and dance with all of your guests! They know what it takes to make you look good and how to keep the party going! The most important part to me was having someone who I didnt feel rushed around and someone who would tell my husband and I what to do in the photos, where to look, and most importantly what to do with our hands! We were constantly blown away by the results from every shoot. When things fell apart for us, they calmed us, found solutions, and continued to get amazing photos for the rest of the night. On the wedding day, they captured the things we want to remember in ways that help me to remember the day positively and relive the good times. Our laughs and smiles in our photos were genuine. The moment I met Justin at the Greensboro wedding show, I immediately knew he and Beth would absolutely be the best fit for my now wife and me. Their inspired personalities and their energy make for a great and creative eye. They have the innate perspective real photographers should have. It's a talent they are just born with. Beth and Justin have blown us away with their results, and also with the way they supported us through our wedding day when some things went awry. My jacket got spilled on, my wife's wedding dress got spilled on, etc... They made a point to calm us and to help with the making photographs right. I loved all my vendors, but Beth and Justin Nixon, were hands down my favorite. They gave me unsolicited wedding advice throughout the whole process. I am the absolute least photogenic person. I am super self-conscious in photos. Usually, I am the friend that runs and hides or offers to take the photos. Well that does not happen when you are the bride. Beth and Justin were priced a little higher than I wanted to pay, but I decided this would be the area of the wedding budget that I would splurge a little. I am so glad I did because it was worth every penny! They were with me throughout the whole wedding process and then some. They wanted to tour the venue with me since it was newer. They gave suggestions of floor layouts and helped things flow flawlessly the day of. They offered insightful thoughts and perspectives that I had not considered. Upon our first engagement photo session, I was a nervous wreck. I had to be the center of attention for a camera. Justin even commented that I was one of the most nervous people he had ever taken photos of. It is safe to say that after additional photo sessions with the Nixons my self-confidence and self-esteem grew. I couldn’t believe it, but I actually looked forward to working with Justin and Beth and having them take my picture. I literally could not wait for them to get to the venue on the wedding day. I knew that they were going to get me in the best angles, with the best lighting to make me look absolutely stunning. Their photos speak for themselves. If you want unique and vibrant photos with bursts of bright colors, these are the photographers for you. This dynamic duo is a married couple that exhibits true love. They each take photos of you from different angles and perspectives with a different eye for what is beautiful. First of all, the Nixon’s are amazing. I was so impressed with the attention to even the smallest of details; and how they can transform your view of yourself within seconds. Justin guided me through everything! And when I say everything I mean he actually posed with me!! As soon as he showed me one of the very first shots right after taking it, I couldn’t believe how beautiful just the raw image was. Justin showed me images along the way and encouraged me the entire time. He had so many creative ideas And the set was gorgeous and comfortable ❤️After the shoot I loved all 100+ images we had! He went over my options as far as what I can get and I loved everything so much I got 4 wall pictures a view master a and a box of pictures I can’t wait to get all my goodies! I could barely decide what to pick!!! I loved having so much to choose from. I usually hate pictures of myself but I love these so much I got ones to hang on my wall!! I have wanted to do a boudior session for a while but never felt too confident or comfortable doing it. After choosing The Nixon's for my wedding photographers, it was no doubt I would sign up for a mini Boudoir session with them as well! From start to finish, everything was amazing. Hair and makeup was included in the package deal which made me feel extra pampered and confident. Not to mention - WINE! In case you're feeling nervous. Where do I begin? The Nixon's are more than amazing. They photographed my wedding in 2016 and they went beyond just being my photographers! ! They offered help wherever it was needed. During the reception, Justin was right in the thick of it teaching guests how to do various dances the DJ was playing. Everyone loved them!! Just this past weekend, I used the Nixon's again for a boudoir session as a gift for my husband. I'm not even sure why I was nervous before hand.....they are a class act. I recently had a private "Dudior" photo session with Justin Nixon of The Nixon's Photography and I have to say he is amazing. Not just as a professional photographer, but as a good man who makes you feel comfortable in your own skin.I so enjoyed my session and Justin made me feel so relaxed, sensual and attractive. I'ts not just for women guys. I had this done for someone in my life, but for my self esteem as well. Men have the right to feel sexy and desirable and that is exactly what I felt. You should absolutely book this photographer! From the moment we met Beth at our initial consultation we knew that these were the type of people that we wanted to be in charge of the most important part of our wedding. Planning each step of the way was a breeze from engagement photos, to picking out photos for our guest book, and the final look through of our wedding photos. Beth and Justin always have a smile on their face and are always ready to handle any situation (including help with bustles and suspenders!). Our engagement shoot was so much fun and they knew about all of these special places to shoot at that we never would have thought of! They showed up on time to the wedding and were there to shoot all of the important before photos (and they were very patient when the wedding party wasn't quite ready yet). It only took three weeks for us to get our wedding photos back which is almost unheard of! The photos were amazing! They were far better than we could have imagined even though we got to see a few sneak peeks while they were shooting! The Nixons don't just show up with one camera and a shooter-they showed up with two shooters, an intern, three cameras, and multiple lights and other tools that I can't begin to understand. Beth & Justin --They are not only awesome & fun people ;) , but are also extremely talented and professional. I think its obvious when you look at their photos how their work stands out. The photos are gorgeous but they also somehow manage to capture the happy, funny, special moments that allow you to relive the best day. Not only can they produce stunning photos, but they really take the time to get to know you as people. They put you at ease and work really hard.
