This was our first time here for myself and my husband. The inside is pretty nice but a little dark for my taste. A blonde guy took our order. He didn't smile or say hello or say welcome when I told him it was our first time. He also didn't say thank you after we finished ordering. Everyone else seated was either on their phone or a laptop. Very hipster trendy type of clientele. My husband said he got very weird vibes from the place and I also kind of felt that way, but we stuck it out. They have an all vegan menu which is awesome. When your food is ready you go pick it up from the front counter. We ordered the Southwest bagel which was delicious. Also the chicken salad sandwich and side of chili which were also delicious. We also got the Mac Bowl (mac and cheeze) which was just okay. The elbow pasta was undercooked and the cheeze flavor was definitely lacking. We got it topped with the buffalo chiken which was really tasty and the saving grace for the dish. For dessert we tried the apple muffin which was pretty good but much better after it's warmed up. We also got the chocolate chip cookie which was absolutely amazing and we would go back just for that. All the prices were very reasonable, especially for vegan food which usually tends to be on the pricey side. We weren't sure what to do with our dirty dishes once we were done. They had a trash can inside so we threw away our disposable things and saw there were black tubs of dirty dishes next to the trash so we put our dirty dishes in there. Makes me wonder why we left a tip. Overall the food was really good but the service could definitely be friendlier. More...

I can't say enough about the customer service at The Nile! The entire staff is accommodating and eager to serve. I definitely did NOT feel like just another random order. In addition to the customer service, my drink was incredible. I live 20 miles away, but will be back the next time I'm in Mesa! More...

One of the few vegan friendly spots in Mesa with a vegan friendly menu and drink menu. I ordered the Gawker sandwich and I was impressed with how flavorful it was. I also ordered a lavender matcha latte with coconut milk and that was superb too. My only recommendation is to make the pastries more moist. Not too sure if they were getting too much air, but I had a difficult time enjoying them. The taste was there tho. Ill be back again :) More...

Love the environment and the fact that they have vegan options. The food is amazing! The coffee is not my favorite but, it's such a great place to meet with friends. If you are looking for a business meeting place this would be a great spot as well just beware the hours are very short from 8-3 on weekdays. More...

I loved the outside set up. The tables outside are perfect before the summer heat hits Arizona. The inside is well decorated as well. I did have to wait in line longer than I'd like. Be prepared for that and manage your time accordingly. I went on Saturday around 9:30-10:00. I ordered a large drip coffee with a splash of half & half and sugar. To compliment my coffee I ordered a cinnamon sugar bagel with cream cheese. Coffee was yummy. To my surprise my bagel came with a few pieces of fruit. I appreciated the bright touch. I came to Nile for a wellness event, we headed to another room away from the barista section and dining section. They also have yoga sessions and music events here. The wellness event was put on by babes&brews + woman2womben. Loved the topic covered by Melanie Peralta! I'm not crazy about Downtown Mesa. But if you're in the area, stop by Nile! More...

Moved to AZ a few weeks ago from Portland and was so excited to find this coffee shop, it's so nostalgic, such a Portland-esque coffee shop I loved it! ! So cute inside and 100% vegan. Me and my partner got some sandwiches I got the philly and they got the Cuban and both were so good!! The philly was more like an Italian sausage and pepper sandwich but was still super yummy and the Cuban was delicious as well! Loved the ham. Next time we'll try some more sandwiches and some coffee! I have to be honest - I always found The Nile looked a little intimidating. But they've done a fabulous job of making the entry way more welcoming and capturing the historical aspects of their building while also bringing it into 2018. I attended a yoga session in the back venue - and it was awesome. After, I grabbed one of the most delicious and beautiful lattes I have ever had in Arizona. Complete with a beautiful form art on top. I will be back. Again and again and again. The food looked amazing too! More...
