Domenico Winery was such a surprise when we went to check out the venue. It's in an industrial area but once you step inside you forget where you are as the reception hall is full of string lights with wine barrels stacked to the ceiling. We celebrated a birthday party on the Osteria side. The venue was perfect for our needs. We had approx 30 guests. The catering was perfect, good quality food and lots of options to customize. We also utilized their projector and screen, perfect for a slideshow. Connected to their in-house Sonos music system. Their staff was pleasant and checking in throughout the event. Michael is the absolute best. I take my grandma for lunch and wine tasting; and he always goes out of his way to talk to her and make her smile. It really means the world to us both. He doesn't have to, and he always has a kind word to say to her, and actually listens to her. It makes her feel special, Michael is a true class act. I held an event here and everything was handled expertly and professionally from start to finish. The different spaces they offer give you options in terms of the number of guests. Their food offerings and wine list are also great. The day of the event everything ran smoothly. The serving staff was friendly and helpful without being intrusive. This venue is beautiful - it's quite the hidden gem. It's located in an industrial area so as you're driving to the place, it just pops up out of nowhere. I went for an event so didn't get the full experience but did enjoy the wine that was offered. As you walk in, it's very spacious and clean. These are the two things that I noticed immediately. This was a very nice experience. I really enjoyed the steel aged Chardonnay. The food, presentation and service were wonderful. The space is smartly decorated with market lights and barrel walls. The pictures shown for this place was not the place I walked into. It's a much smaller area with only one counter for tastings. But the wine was pretty decently priced and very good. There was a wine from South Africa that was my favorite- highly recommend trying. I ordered a margherita pizza which was amazingly good after my friend and I finished a bottle. A lovely winery and barrelroom. Some of our friends had their wedding in the large barrel room reception space. Was really a lovely setting and great set up for the bar and photo booth. All of the server and buffet staff were attentive and well mannered. Zero complaints and the food was pretty good too. Much better than a lot of the standard wedding buffet food. I was surprised by the size of the space given that it's located in a pretty commercial area. But looks are certainly deceiving. Wine service was also great too. They did a great job with the reception and handled a 180 person wedding party really well. Even the parking for the wedding was triaged well and ran efficiently. Well done. More...

Dream wedding reception at Domenico Winery!  My husband and I recently had our wedding reception at Domenico Winery and could not have been happier with how it turned out.  From start to finish, everything was top notch from the service, to the food, to the ambiance.  It is such a beautiful venue, we had guests commenting all night on how perfect it was.  We opted for the votive candles on the wine barrels which I highly recommend because they create such a magical glow!  We had a donut bar which the guests absolutely loved and it was super fun for our kid guests as well.  The food wasn't your typical mass produced wedding food, it was all fresh-tasting and delicious!  The bar was gorgeous as well, and there never seemed to be a line, as the bar tenders were quick and also super friendly!  I really just can't say enough good things about Domenico Winery.   We mainly worked with Jenni P who made our experience wonderful because she is super responsive to emails, and very accommodating to our requests.  Thank you Domenico Winery for the most perfect wedding reception! Domenico Winery is a hidden gem tucked away in an unassuming industrial area of San Carlos. Upon entry, there was a cool little space at the entrance where our guests hung out during cocktail hour. Available to the Bridal Party, upon request, we had a private area/room upstairs for our own use (hangout before the grand entrance, hide and eat appetizers, there was even a little balcony overlooking the main reception area). The Cask Room is the main reception space where Domenico hosted our evening wedding reception for 330 people (including vendors). The event space was more than enough to accommodate our needs -- 34 dinner tables, DJ, live-band, photobooth, etc. The venue really doesn’t need much to have a nice semi-formal/formal feel, it definitely has the winery vibe without having to drive all the way up to Napa or out to the Tri-Valley area.

We worked closely with Azeema and she was a pivotal piece in bringing our vision to life. Nobody really knew this, but we booked Domenico Winery less than 4 months from our wedding day, which I think says a lot about Azeema and her ability to put a wedding reception together with very little time to work with. She always made herself available and was very accommodating of our needs and since we had such a big guest count which included both cocktail hour and dinner we had a ton of logistics to work out. Azeema quickly answered any and all of our questions and made sure we had everything we needed for our reception. She worked with our day-of coordinator to make sure there were no worries leading up to the big day. We knew the food and drinks would be a hit because we attended two tastings ahead of the reception where we were able to taste all the different food options, bar offerings, desserts, etc. The tastings were a great opportunity to be able to see how the venue would look with different table, linen, plate setting, and chair configurations. Azeema personally checked in with us whenever we went out to the tasting events to see if anything caught our eye or if we were interested in certain set-ups. Overall, it was a pleasure working with Azeema and the Domenico Winery staff. We received so many great compliments from our family and friends about the venue -- how it looked, how everything was set up, and how nobody even knew it was there, well it’s there and available for your next event. Everything really came together and looked great, far exceeding my expectations. I would highly recommend Domenico Winery, not just as a wedding venue but for any event, it’s a really great place with wonderful staff, we truly lucked out with landing Domenico Winery for our reception. Boy, is this place beautiful! My husband and I originally came across this place before the remodel and even then it was "love at first sight" for us! We had no idea it could become even more beautiful after the renovations.We found Domenico through a suggestion from Weddingwire online and decided to schedule a walk through. Our first visit to Domenico we met with Marina and right away we were impressed with how welcoming and informative she was. After every visit to the winery we were introduced to more people that worked there. Each and every person was so amazing from the wine tasting staff down to the waiters. Everyone seemed genuinely nice compared to other wineries we had visited. We were assigned a venue coordinator that worked with us very closely on every detail to help execute our ideal wedding. Everything turned out perfect! Another plus about this place is the food! My guest couldn't stop raving about how much they enjoyed their food.Can't wait to visit the winery again just for wine tasting. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for an event venue. This winery is located in an industrial area, not your typical winery. The place is nice and well designed.They recently opened a kitchen to pair with their wine. It appears things have changed... for the better.  They now have an actual restaurant, and it's great!  To start with, it's like an oasis in the desert.   No place nearby comes close.  And compared to Laurel Ave - there's parking!  The ambience and fittings are top notch (you HAVE to see the bathroom faucets!).  The presentation of the food is Top Notch.  The portions are healthy.  The spinach salad with panceta, beets, and peaches was to die for!  The cheese/salami combo platter was top notch.  The white pie Prociutto pizza was very good.  Prices are reasonable.  And did I mention there's an entire Winery here - full scale wine production, large event space (e.g. weddings, corporations), class/meeting rooms, wine making classes, oh, and did I mention they sell the wine?  Plus, they cater, do take out, etc. for nearby companies that need sustenance.   Of course, you're not supposed to drink during the work day, right?  So hang out outside after work... Thank you so much Jenni Pelas for helping me organize an unforgettable event for my law firm.  Domenico Winery was spacious, beautiful, required minimal decorations, made us signature cocktails, all of the guests raved about the food and the projector playing the Warriors game. Love Mountain Terrace events! I've attended several of their brunches/dinners for special days (Easter, Mother's Day, Valentines). Always good quality food and very nice ambiance and view. The brunches are great because kids can play on the lawn while you relax. Would strongly recommend! More...

We had Design Tech HS Gala. Venue was excellent, staff were amazing and accommodating, menu was tasty! Thank you! Only one issue happened, no fault of the owners, we had personal property (expensive prescription glasses and shoes, along with pricey Gala auction items) go missing during the clean up process. The box that held the items was obvious that it wasn't trashed. It would be comforting to know security cameras are in place to provide some security assurances during events. More...

We had our wedding reception here back in September 2018. We were so happy to find this hidden gem. Located in an industrial area, you never would have imagined this place would be a winery! Their reception area was very spacious and their market lights and wine barrels made the place give it a romantic feel. It was different from many other venues I've seen and it was at a reasonable price. I love that they have a balcony inside; Our band played jazz/blues from the top during cocktail hour which set the mood for the entire night. While our wedding party made their entrance from the bride room on the first floor, we made our grand entrance from the top and danced our way down. They offer seasonal menu tastings, and we tried their fall menu. We wanted our wedding to be New Orleans French Quarter themed, so we looked for a caterer for southern/cajun food. We weren't having any success so we reached back out to Domenico and Marina, whom we worked very closely with, said that they can do custom menus and that they've done a southern menu before. We came back in for a private tasting and we were sold! Everything they made was sooooo goooood! So glad we got to go with in-house catering!Big props for Marina. While there were other associates who have helped here and there and the place was going through renovations, Marina remained constant. She answered all of our questions and kept everything organized. We did a walk-through with Marina and our coordinator and Marina was very patient with us in the process. I have one very minor complaint. I went back and forth with ordering gold chargers for the table setting. We had 210 guests in attendance and already didn't go with chiavari chairs that I originally wanted, but in the end I finally decided to order the chargers. The chargers didn't start being set on the table until about halfway through cocktail hour. While I've experienced table settings not being complete at other weddings I've attended, I was extremely disappointed to see that none of the gold chargers appeared in ANY of my wedding photos. Hours of crafting my vision for the table setting happened, but without the photos being able to capture it all, it was incomplete. Overall I still had a great experience. I'm only docking a few points off but would still round it up to a 5. The staff and bartenders on the day of were amazing and very friendly. I am so glad that the renovations were complete just in time for the wedding. Now that the tasting room is open we can't wait to go back and reminisce about our wedding day at Domenico! More...

We attended Easter brunch with 5 adults and 2 four year old boys. Various games were set up on the lawn and an Easter egg hunt was held for the children. We sat at a table on the patio where we could enjoy the spectacular view and watch the boys as they played on the lawn. It was a great family friendly venue.
