This is dining done right! The atmosphere, menu and drink selection is phenomenal! The food is AMAZEBALLS! My new favorite restaurant! We split an appetizer, spinach salad and the jalapeno, peanut butter, fried egg burger, and their decadant dark chocolate cake for $40, left happy and full with a doggie bag! The chef is a genius! I recently had a baby shower for my daughter-in law at the Met. I would highly recommend hosting a gathering of any kind here. I worked with Liz who was wonderful with the all the planning: food selections (which were absolutely delicious) drinks, set up, and checking with me a week before to make sure everything was covered before the big day. The Met. What a really great city place in downtown Lima. Was in town for a business trip and was looking for a non chain restaurant to get a meal and a beer. Well this is the place, interesting menu; I had the Parmesan salad and the seared ( yes seared) gnocchi with chicken. The salad was awesome with a mix of greens ( no iceberg) and a great Parmesan dressing. The small portion I ordered was quite generous too. The Gnocchi was served in an interesting dish with a pesto cream sauce and I added some grilled chicken. Very good though the chicken was a bit dry. They also have a good beer and wine selection and the service at the bar was great too. Very reasonably priced too, especially compared to any similar restaurant in the SF Bay Area. More...

Wow!!! We have been blown away by The Met. The food was amazing. Try the Tavern Burger. My daughter said it was one of the best burgers she has had, and I would have to agree. We topped dinner off with the Chocolate Torte.... It was heavenly. We did have it with vanilla ice cream. The menu has a good selection, so I can almost guarantee that you won't be dissapointed!
