We'd like to thank you for the outstanding job you did refinishing our travertine floor. But most importantly, we would like to compliment you on the amazing team of technicians that completed the job. They were professional and respectful and when they left you wouldn't know they had been there except for the beautiful floor. Thank you.Carol and Ira More...

We had our marble dining room floor, entryway and stair landing resurfaced and buffed.  They brought our dining room back from the dead even though it was relatively new, there was a film due to the type of grout used during installation by another installation company.  The Marble Restoration team came in and it just pops now!  They were very competitive on price and their customer service was impeccable. They are true professionals and I don't say that about a lot of service companies today. More...

We had remodeled a master bath with marble wall tile and marble mosaic. The contractor let the grout dry and scrubbed the grout off the marble mosaic with a scratch pad. Completed ruined the tile. Marble Restoration came out and restored the tile back to its original shine and state. I couldn't have been more pleased. They were very professional with visiting the house to give a quote and Steve spent 6 hours working on restoring the tile, polishing and sealing the whole bathroom. Very experienced and very clean with no mess whatsoever. The end result was amazing. I highly recommend! More...

The rose marble coffee table was a family heirloom, dating back at least seventy years.  It sustained more moves than I can count . .. but it didn't do well on this trip.  I was horrified when my husband said the marble cracked into two distinct pieces.Hats off to Chaz, who did an excellent job restoring my table.  He worked hours, doing whatever marble restorers do, to get it back to a semblance of its former self.  A note to anyone in the same boat:  your marble will not be 100% like it was before.  It can't be. But realistically, I don't think anyone but me -- or someone looking for the crack -- will realize the repair.Chaz is very easy to work with, a really nice guy, who gave it his all to make me happy! We had the bathroom floor buffed up (including a repair to some etch damage I had caused with a spray bottle), the shower stall cleaned (including some mineral build-up under the shower head), the vanity polished, and everything sealed. Looks like glass! Very nice work; the estimator was able to tell the scheduler how many people would be needed for a 2-day job or for a same-day job. The team arrived exactly as scheduled. They were friendly, professional, and kept me in the loop about decisions as they needed to be made.Good job; we are very pleased. More...

"I have a beautiful Travertine floor in my house, its over 1600 sq ft, unfortunately it was poorly installed. There was lippage, the wrong sealer was put on, and the backer board was improperly fastened creating long hairline cracks. The floor was an investment and finally after living with it for years, I decided to address the issues - Many told me there was no fix and it would have to be fully ripped out and reinstalled. After a detailed search, The Marble Restoration Company was the only team that had the skills, experience, and commitment to help.

The Marble Restoration Company Team did an incredible job. Professional from the start and they worked to ensure the floor looked fantastic. It was a lot of work. They flattened the entire floor using multiple grits and worked with me to determine the best methods of approaching the cracking issues. They recommended the finish and the sealer approach to ensure that the installation issues would be best handled and worked with me until I was satisfied.

The floor now is completely flat and looks like one piece. Its simply incredible. I am extremely happy and satisfied with the Team and the results on the floor. Chaz, and Mike are the greatest. I would definitely trust your flooring restoration needs with them."

We have used this company at two different properties. The first job was to buff and polish old tile in a very large bathroom with a section of new tile. When they were done you could not tell the difference. It was beautiful!  The second job was to correct an installation problem on our very large island granite countertop and to fix a Mark left by jewelry cleaner in a marble vanity top.  When Steve finished they looked amazing - more beautiful then when they were installed. Excellent work, competitively priced, scheduled in a timely manner and very professional in keeping and leaving the worksite neat. My kitchen/breakfast room marble floor had not been cared for through 20 years and 2 children. Needless to say it had many cracks and holes from dropped items.  The floor has been restored to practically new status, looks beautiful, wish I had the work done sooner. I  recommend The Marble Restoration Company strongly! More...

Services

Stone floors and surfaces become dull over time when the stone erodes from dirt, sand, shoes and other contact. The honing process serves two purposes: repairing and preparing the surface for polish. Using abrasive diamond impregnated pads and stones attached to an oscillating tool, the honing process levels out the surface, removes scratches and etches, and leaves a smooth finish that is ready for the polishing phase.

To restore the marble surface to its best condition, the polish process returns the luster and shine to the floor, countertop, or tile surface. Multiple passes of high-quality polishing compounds are applied to the marble surface and restore the shine. If a honed or satin finish is required, our final step will be to buff with honing powders to achieve the client’s desired finish.

To help protect the marble surface from oils and water damage, etching and general use, sealing the surface is always recommended. Our industrial strength sealants help ensure a quality finish to the marble surface for a long time to come. The sealant may be dry to the touch after application, but typically requires some time to cure and harden. We provide instructions following the sealing process so you know when the curing process has been completed and regular use of your marble surface can resume. We recommend a maintenance program for marble, which requires sealing on a regular basis.
