The tables were sticky, the menus (which we had to hunt down) were greasy, everything we ordered was off the menu, as the Christmas menu was taken off but no one thought to tell us (or the staff it seems). The service at the bar was almost none existent, with staff just hanging around or walking past without acknowledging me, despite being the only one at the bar. A parent was seeking out a glass of water for a child who had almost choked on some food, and had to get one from another customer, as there was nobody offering service. disapointed tonight always been told how nice it was here ordered a burger upon arrival was stil raw in middle my friends ordered steak which 1 came kindly with a hair which kindly got changed until they both cut into there steaks and both was raw inside when they asked for it well done staff did change but it dampened our night i think if u have high demand of custom like u had tonight also a wedding on u need to keep up the pace with high quality food

We have been to the lodge this afternoon decided on the salad for my friend and I had jacket potatoe and beans, first of my beans were cold asked them to warm them up simple request no problem but then looking at my friends salad which was poor for the offset, not much salad no advocado cucumber salsa or coriander it was just leaves with a lot of carrot slices and green paste, we asked nicely were the rest was and she said she would call the manager, who came and to be honest was very abrupt and not helpful at all so we said, not paying for this thinking he would do a fresh salad but NO he turned away and said don’t pay for it then, thats was his customers service, so we picked our bags up and walked out

We held our wedding party here on Saturday and it was perfect. Perfect location including the backdrop of the golf course for our photos. possible mistaken communications but ordered a buffet after seeing a lovely menu on line then was provided with a traditional finger buffet for the same cost (which was lovely and fresh but very basic compared to the online buffet menu and then once I'd emailed, coincidentally the website was down with new menus coming soon)! Wasnt in a great place to even comprehend about the buffet at the time of the Wake but afterwards I realised how very different the menus were. Today we came for Sunday lunch the meal it’s self was not the best meal the meat was mostly fat and the potion control was on the small side the beef was laid across the mash so was not covered in gravey ,I had the brownie and cherry cake which very dry I was not offered cream or anything and I was given a soup spoon the eat it with . My wife’s meal was a bit better but she said it was not the best for the price ,she had the raspberry cheese cake which was still frozen in the middle .
