We spent one night for a Beatles Blitz tour of Liverpool. The check-in went smoothly - we arrived well before check-in time but we were accommodated and allowed access to our room earlier. Though the front desk appeared to be a little short-staffed the check-in process did go smoothly. The front desk arranged a Beatles tour for us on short notice, which was very good, even though the rain was coming down in buckets.The room was large and comfortable and toiletries were provided. Stayed here for one night to attend gig at O2 academy, couldn't be any nearer just literally 2 min walk around the corner. Car park alongside the hotel with free parking 1pm-1pm for hotel guests which was an added bonus.Train station also next door. Warm welcome on arrival, staff smart polite and friendly. Room was a good size, shower, bath and toilet, tea and coffee in room. Had a mini bar if you were desperate but didn't use it on this occasion. Myself and wife just returned from a one night stay at the liner to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The hotel is excellent value, we had a spotless cabin room on the 6th floor. The castaways bar is good to start off with a couple of drinks before heading out, and help yourself breakfast was very good. We stayed here with a group of family members last week.|Really good location and has plenty of free parking including disabled parking right at the front door ! !|Rooms are a good size, simply laid out, but very clean and tidy.|Several lifts to access all floors, so no waiting around.|Buffet breakfast in the morning which is plentiful.|Price of rooms is really competitive.|Would I recommend or stay again? .... definitely yes. This hotel is about 5 minutes walk up a small gradient from Lime Street Station.Set out like a cruise liner Rooms are spotless cleaned daily by lovely staff. The Hotel is centrally based with all the various attractions all within a 15-20 minute walk.Liverpool is a vibrant city with plenty of nostalgia.Lots of tours to be had at reasonable prices,the Hop on Hop off city bus tours are great value and lrt you see sights which are all within the City centre..All in all a brilliant weekend and is great for all ages .. My only issue with it is that even with the heating turned off the rooms are very very warm, and as our room was above the train station we couldnt leave the windows open because of all the loud announcements. City location and quality of room and bathroom and friendly professionalism of staff marred only by noises disturbing sleep - station announcements audible (literally yards from the platforms) and the radiators old and noisy whenever heating was on - from 6 am impossible to sleep through pipe noise.

Visited Liverpool to see LFC play and stayed here. The Staff are friendly and the hotel has good service. |The hotel has spacious accessible rooms for Wheelchair Users and it is not too far from Anfield Stadium.

Stayed for a couple of nights over a weekend to celebrate a 'big' birthday. We had a 'Cabin' room on the fifth floor which enjoyed a panoramic view over some of the city. On checking in we had to let reception know the mini bar was short of a couple of items. As we had no intention of using the bar we wanted to make sure we were not charged. As well as this the room smelt of cigarette smoke. We were immediately offered another room which we declined as my wife had already unpacked our cases and it wasn't too overpowering. We kept the window open and after a few hours managed to get rid of the smell. Housekeeping also came and sprayed the room again straight away when topping up the mini bar. Being on the fifth floor this must be a real temptation for smokers to sneak one or two cigarettes in the bathroom. I wouldn't mark the hotel down for this as they reacted in a speedy and positive way but it needs addressing as someone less tolerable would not be so understanding. Breakfast was nice and all the staff throughout the hotel were very attentive and polite. We had an end of evening drink in the Castaway Bar which cost £9.00 for two glasses of wine. Despite all this we would return mostly because of the position next to Lime Street station. But for a few minor niggles this would have been a 'Five Star' score. More...

we have just had 2 nights at the liner hotel we went up on the train and its just round the corner great 2minutes in to town break fast was good staff very good rooms spotless it was near our grandchilds uni just up the road fantastic time

We normally stay in the Albert Dock area, but because we came to do our Christmad shopping, We chose the Liner.|So very glad we did. As it is a fabulous hotel, The rooms are lovely and clean and we had a six foot wide bed in our deluxe room.|The breakfast is the best we have had in any hotel in Liverpool, We had a Sunday roast one day a bar meal watching our favourite team on The next day , Both meals excellent and very tasty.|Two bonus points , One is free car parking and because we booked direct we were given some drinks vouchers. our room was overlooking lime street station, which worried me but apart from some muffled sounds early in the evening I was not disturb at all as there is triple glazing. Would definitely stay here again
