My son attended this centre after not making the required progress from a centre he was attending elsewhere. He wasn't on track to pass his 11+ exam but in the 4 months he was with this tutor he made good progress and managed to pass his test. I believe he would have scored even higher marks had he started with this tutor. I would like to say that my son has passed his King Edward tests and the Queen Mary tests well above the qualifying score which means that he has the best chance of a place at any of the grammar schools we choose. Based on that, I would like to say a Big Thank You to Johirul. You worked so hard to motivate my son by giving him all the pep talks he needed as well the right tools to practice with. As always giving lots of feedback to parents. You always had confidence in my son that he will do well when at times I didn’t, and now he has done exceptionally well. We are so proud of him. I would definitely recommend parents to send their child to the Learning Base if they want their child to pass. Johirul really cares about what he does and has a personal passion for the kids that he teaches to do really well and I think this and the support he provides to the parents as we are a large part of it too, all this adds to the ingredients of being an excellent tutor. My daughter attended the 11+ preparation course with The Learning Base and as a result she managed to pass and exceed the entry requirements for both King Edwards VI and Queen Marys Grammar Schools. She seemed to enjoy every lesson due to her eagerness to attend and was receptive with the daily homework set.Feedback was given after lessons which provided me with an overview of progress whether it was good or bad.With the multitude of tuition centres available it can be a daunting prospect in choosing the right one. I came across The Learning Base by chance however I would certainly not hesitate in recommending The Learning Base to anyone thinking of supporting their children. I've already started my son on it! The staff at the Learning Base are not just dedicated and specialist but also very motivating for the students they serve. My son studies here for his 11+. Review: ‘Going The Extra Distance: Outstanding Tuition Support in Sandwell !’*****My dad is an English teacher, so I was confident with that aspect of things, but the Maths/Non-Verbal Reasoning was something I was struggling with for the 11+ exams. I had been to classes at Inspire, but found that the teachers there would generally move on to another topic, if the majority of the class understood: this left me behind and I was not making progress.However, Mr.Islam at The Learning Base, took the time and trouble to explain Maths problems, which I found difficult and also, when my dad collected me, would frequently spend extra time going through individual questions, with me and my dad.As a result of this outstanding help and support, I secured a very good mark in my 11+ test and am now enjoying my first year at Wolverhampton Girls High School, which was my school of choice.Mr.Islam is a thorough and very patient teacher, who will always take the extra time and trouble and I would recommend his classes at The Learning Base to any child, who is serious about wanting to pass the 11+ Grammar School exams. I attended this tuition centre for my GCSE's in 2015 and found it to be extremely beneficial. The experienced and helpful teachers are committed to their teaching and use specialized teaching methods according to each individuals syllabus, to help improve their grades. The use of different resources to teach and revision methods enabled me to gain a better understanding of the topics I was weak in. With an ideal learning environment and the extra support offered, I was able to achieve A's and B's in my science, maths and english. Obtaining these grades gave me an opportunity to study my choice of subjects at A-level, allowing a wide range of course options for university. More...

I don't usually write reviews but decided that the learning base deserves a review so here goes. My daughter as well as my niece have been taught here from year 3 upto 5 for 11plus. Johirul has a lot of patience he really motivated the girls, as well as making learning fun. He was very supportive and really helpful even to me , answered any questions i had about the 11 plus. I have tried so many tuition places for my other children and never was as happy as i was with the learning base, i would recommend anyone who is interested in getting their child to do the 11 plus to try this place. When I first sent my daughter to The Learning Base tuition centre in April 2014 I did not expect to see such determination from the tutor. My daughter only had 4 months left to sit the 11+ test. She had no tuition prior to this. Within four months I had seen that my daughter had exceeded her academic level. Her tutor Johirul had thoroughly planned all her lessons and worked very closely with her and myself to help her pass her 11+. As a result my daughter now attends King Edward's Handsworth School. She also attended Yr 6 SATs tuition classes for 9 months at the centre and she achieved three Level 6 results and one Level 5. I sent my son for 11+ tuition the following year as I was so impressed by the high standards of teaching and support. He sat the tests in September 2016 and he scored 236 for the King Edward's test and 359 for the Queen Mary's. We are now waiting to find out which school he will attend, we hope he gains a place at Kind Edward's Camp Hill.I am so happy I sent my children to this teacher as they now have potential opportunities in life that they may never have had. We are so proud of our children and very thankful to have found the support in our local area.I highly recommend The Learning Base tuition centre for 11+ and SATs tuition. More...

We have used many tuition centres in the past and this one is by far the very best. The staff are very friendly and always welcoming. The teachers are helpful and professional. They always have time to answer any queries you have no matter how busy they are. A few children in our family have been attending here for maths and English and have come on leaps and bounds. Your child is made sure that they know what to do for homework. They offer extra support if your child is behind in certain areas. Learning Base Tuition centre is a lot more affordable than many other tuition centres we have used in the past. Some centres you can be paying so much and not see much difference.
