We enjoyed New Years Eve here, seeing out the old year in style,it was excellent. The canapés were a real treat and there were so many of them! One of the real luxury hotels in the world. Far away from all the conformation brands and same same hotels. This hotel is a star of itself and represents a hotel tradition that is mostly gone. Highly recommend it. ❤❤❤

Food was great. Attention from staff was good. Was it value for money? Depends on viewpoint. For an experience at a top London Hotel it was what it was and was as expected but it was £50 each (+15% service) so not something we would do that regularly.

Without a doubt the best, most luxurious hotel I have ever stayed in. Our room was amazing, the bed was super comfy and the room was so so quiet. I took my 5 year old son and there was cookies waiting for him, along with little slippers and a dressing gown and a teddy bear. We had our own private butler as to which nothing was too much trouble. I stay in the best hotels all over the world and am a member of the leaders of the world hotels and sometimes staff can be a little pretentious or a little cold, absolutely not here, they are friendly, genuine and down to earth. The spa is beautiful as was the breakfast. Didn't have time to book a treatment but will next time. The whole stay was relaxing and exactly what is expected of a five star hotel. I would like to thank Lydia Hailemariam, Fiore Di Vita and Paul (didn't get his surname but works on the cloakroom) all for looking after us and just being such lovely people. This type of customer service is what is making us look to return next month. The location is absolutely spot on. My son absolutely loved it, he was fussed over at breakfast and felt very much at home. My mum also loved it and i believe she has already been back for drinks, he exact words were "I could have sat in the bar, chilling and reading a book all day" The decor is spot on and immaculately clean. My experience started when my son was born here, when then it was St George’s Hospital. Many memories of that time . When my husband worked at Quaglinos , not far from the hospital . We have seen the slow change to this historical building . This building speaks volumes and must have so many stories to be told . We have been back a few times , meeting friends their, eating there, enjoying the luxurious ambiance The afternoon teas are just out of this world, fantastic sandwiches, cakes, variety of teas, and fabulous champagne. A piano player, playing soft tunes in the background. The decor, tablecloths, the exquisite china, all so delicate . I could go on and on . But just all is perfect. No fault to find! Wonderful hotel. We were there for only 1 day and night but everyone treated us like royalty. From the porters, to the check-in staff to the butlers -- including the spa butlers -- to the Celeste food and service, everything was top notch.
