Describe your creative process.
I believe that any design project benefits from having as much relevant information at the outset as possible. I start by asking you to provide details of your project but also supporting information around your audience and marketing goals.
My creative process starts with research. After a review of the research and the initial information, I'll start to draw up ideas, and these form the basis of my initial designs. I always prefer to give you alternative design options when the budget allows. From this initial proof stage, we choose a preferred option to develop and continue until you are happy to sign off the design.
What information do you need from a client before you can start work?
It depends on the project but the most important information is the scope of the project, where we agree what the deliverables are, the timescale for completion, the project goal, supporting marketing objectives, and the budget.
What do you love most about your job?
The thing I like most about my job is that I make the best use of my experience to help small businesses to succeed. I am the director of an unrelated small business, so I know exactly what it's like to struggle to build up a business for yourself.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I have spent a lot of time designing for large, big name brands, and I was left feeling that my skills could be better put to supporting smaller businesses, where they can really make a difference.
