Well what can I say. I have been a member of this church all my life and once Pastor E. Dewey Smith became our Pastor after the late Pastor Shepard thing's shifted in our church. Pastor Smith has a Preaching/Teaching style that is beyond word's!!!! I Love my church family & if I have to miss church for whatever reason, I usually have a week that I feel lost. So, when I am at my warm, loving, caring, inviting church, I feel at my best each week. So, if you are in need of a spiritual healing, then make sure you come out and worship with us. I absolutely love this church! I drive right at an hour each way to attend this church and it is truly every bit worth the drive to attend the services at HOHA! ! Pastor Smith does a phenomenal job preaching the word. The music ministry is absolutely amazing and even though it is a mega church it still has that close, loving family feel. I've been attending now for a little over year and thourghly enjoy every service I have attended! I ALWAYS feel fed of the word and blessed when I leave worship service at HOHA! I hope all is well.
I'm a member of Community Baptist Church of Englewood, New Jersey (Pastor Taylor) and I visited THOHA for the first time yesterday with my mom and aunt. I felt like Pastor Smith was speaking directly to me!! I can't begin to tell you how many times I jumped to my feet as Pastor Smith preached. This is TRUELY a big church with a small church feel. I visited several churches before this one. When I got here I was amazed at the love you feel from the worship service & greetings all the way to the end when Dr. Dewey says "I love you and have a great week." That is still one of my favorite parts of the service. To hear our man of God tell us he loves us. No one knows how many people just need to hear those 3 words and what a difference those words make. Beyond that, I had never read the bible or tithed at all before joining this church. Dr. Dewey's teachings inspired me to do both for the first time. The worship experience was phenomenal! Stretch....why are you still wearing last seasons clothes? Walk into your new season! Think about it....it makes no sense to be wearing a winter coat in the summer. It's downright uncomfortable. Take it off. God is trying to do a new thing in this new season! The people are friendly and family oriented. The presence of the Lord dwells in this place. It’s truly the place to be. The Pastor is a hands on meaning wants to know the visitors and take time after service to not only greet the visitors but the members as well.

Lord I've visited the church maybe 5 times, and each time its been AMAZING! I was going through a tough season in my life and started walking to exercise and figure out a way to commit suicide, and who woukd gwt my kids. You tube alerted me that House of Hope was live at 12 noon on Wed. The co pastor was preaching right to my heart I hurried up and went home got in my car and drove up there, I didn't change clothes. I was crying the whole bible study. There was a older lady who talked to me afterwards I don't remember her name, but she is a AKA. This was just during AKA founders week 2018 she was dressed in her AKA gear. She has no idea that her talking to me saved my life. I was having real deal suicidal ideations!! She even bought me lunch! I've been looking for a church home since I moved here. I felt like I didn't have a covering to protect me. Today I finally joined the Hope family and I'm glad I did! I loved the atmosphere. The people were so friendly. The deacons sung some old school songs and then the praise team sung some more model day songs. I enjoyed both. Yesterday my family and visited for the first time and felt totally comfortable to worship freely. 2/3 of our children went to children’s church freely and my husband and I were able to enjoy a true worship experience start to finish without interruptions from our kids. It was refreshing to see a seasoned ministry merge traditional worship with a modern twist. The word was on point and I hope to visit again soon. More...
