Megan of the Halcyon Days Photography is amazing. Megan has taken our family pictures for the last three years. She has great ideas for locations and poses that create a natural look. I am most impressed with Megan's patience with children and her ability to capture their personalities through photography. Over the last three years, my children have spanned ages 0-4, which is not the easiest age for pictures. She has no problem being silly, coming up with distractions, and really doing whatever is necessary to capture the kids in a meaningful way. WE LOVE MEGAN~!~
I found Megan on Craigslist 3 years ago & my husband was skeptical. However, I convinced him she sounded great & I loved what I saw on her page & her responsiveness to my questions/concerns/ ect.
She was the BEST find EVER!! We live in Miami & drive up 5 hours to Gainesville for shots with this amazing photographer. She is WONDERFUL with my crew (not the easiest to manhandle), she is flexible, sweet, fun, & very involved with us prior to our visits. We have done 3 shoots with her & even though we ALWAYS end up at the Swamp, taking the same "stadium pictures", she always finds a way to make them different every session.
She's worth a 5 hour drive, in a car, with 3 kids, 30 weeks pregnant with baby # 4.
I hope she realizes, she is stuck with us

We had our family photos with Megan this past November. This was our first session with Megan, and I could not be more thrilled with the photos! We had planned to take photos in the afternoon after my son's nap, but the day went awry and we had a very tired and slightly grumpy toddler on our hands when we met up with Megan. Abe and I had a wonderful time with Meghan. She was pleasant to work with leading up to the wedding, and receptive to all our ideas and wishes. Why should our clients choose you?
I pour my heart into your session, I chase the perfect shots that tell your story in a beautiful way, whether your story is the the days before the birth of your baby, your little one's special birthday, high school senior portraits, or your surprise proposal. I do my best to give you pictures that you will love for a long time to come.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
All props used with baby are washed or cleaned between sessions and I can wear a N95 mask during the session.
Newborn Photography
Those tiny toes will grow before you know it! We cannot stop our children from growing up, but we can preserve the time when they still fit in our arms. A newborn photography session will do just that! All of my newborn sessions are posed in studio with family or for baby alone. Maternity Photography
Mothers are amazing! Mothers literally grow, birth, raise and care for their babes with their entire being...their body, heart, and soul. Regardless of how or when you become a mother, it is very likely to be the most important and special role of your life! Your motherhood story should be celebrated, documented, and remembered...and that is what maternity photography is all about! I would love to chat with you about what you are looking for in your maternity session, including whether you want a studio or outdoor session.
Studio maternity sessions are great during the warmer summer months or when clients are interested in fine art nude maternity photography.
Portrait Photography
If you're looking for someone that wants to photograph your real and authentic moments, you found your girl! I would love to photograph your family, to capture all of your snuggles, kisses, silliness, and above all, love in your portraits. I always make sure to get that one mantle-shot, the photo that is worthy of being printed and hung over the mantle. But I won't ask everyone to smile and stare at the camera your entire photo session! I will prompt you to interact, play, and I will use less traditional posing. High School Senior Photography
Graduating from high school is the first major milestone in the lives of young people. Its a big deal and deserves to be celebrated, documented, and remembered in a way thats as unique as you are! The senior portrait experience is the best way to commemorate your unique hobbies, interests, and accomplishments over your years in high school. We can work together to customize your senior pictures session with multiple locations, outfit changes, and even the option of doing a two part session in different seasons (fall and spring).
