The seafood gumbo was seasoned very well with a nice spicy kick and there were nice sized shrimp. The shrimp po boy was good. Would definitely order both again.

We ordered from here last night to satisfy our craving for Louisiana food. Not exactly authentic, but still good. The braised greens and shrimp po boy were really good. The gumbo was a nice dark color, but a little bland. The red beans and rice seemed more Latin than New Orleanian. Def will come back for the po boys! More...

Came here because I saw a review about their hot honey chicken sandwich. And since chicken sandwiches are all the rave, i figured why not. The place is small and cozy. A picnic type bench at the entrance and 4 tables that seat 4 people. The menu is simple and not overwhelming. I ordered the chicken sandwich and it didnt take that long to arrive. The bread is toasty and flaky. The hot honey is tasty. The chicken it self kind of got lost in the lettuce, tomatoes and other fixina. It resemble an oversized chicken finger. It was on the oily side so you can tell it came right out the fryer. The seasoning is amazing. I would come here again and try out the rest of the menu. More...

Stopped over here wandering around, and deciding against Taco Bell.I snagged the seafood gumbo (shrimp galore mostly) and fried pickles. The service was FAST and friendly, even though we got there late. The fried pickles, were super good- id have liked them more crispy, however. I added more hot sauce to my gumbo, because I'm insane- but it's actually delicious and spicy! The spot is small, so this isn't a place to go with a giant group, but I think you can order and hang at the bar next door or something! The prices weren't bad at all- comparable to typical diner prices. If you and a pal are wondering and wanna warm up with some soup, definitely stop in. More...

I was sold on "boudin balls"- something I hadn't seen outside of New Orleans. Cute little spot for a pow-wow, we opted for the rose cider, cup of seafood gumbo, cup of chicken sausage gumbo, boudin and fried green tomatoes. Yummy! The gumbo was full of smoke and spices. Great heat and meat on the chicken with the seafood being a bit more oceany. Let me know of another descriptor if you have one (not seafoody). But the good host was right on all counts- chicken sausage gumbo was spicy, filling and tasty. And the fried green tomatoes were crispy, juicy, soft and super hot cooled off my their delicious cream sauce. We will have to try the fried catfish next time as per nice, discerning host. Both loved our rose cider- did u know there's a place in the city for rose all day?! As cider people, we are a thousand percent down with the ingenious extra bubbly mix.The boudin balls- man... this is what got me in the door but unfortunately not what will keep me in. The sausage mix was a bit off, taste wise and looked too much like tuna. Fried well, but traditionally they are smaller and grittier. And the honey coating- I am all for sweet and savory btw... just didn't go, for me. But that's all. We will definitely be back. More...

I loved this place! I went with my bf and mom, we each ordered a po' boy and a bowl of gumbo to taste and share. The shrimp and catfish po boy's were packed with shrimp and seasoned very nicely. The gumbo was pretty good as well! It had plenty of seafood throughout out bowl. The atmosphere was mostly quiet and empty. The cashier upfront brings your food to you, and the bathroom was immaculate. More...

Gumbo Bros has by far the best gumbo and PoBoys I've had since last time I was in Louisiana a year ago! I love the crisp breading on the catfish, and their chicken/andouille sausage gumbo is superb! Their food is routinely shipped in from various Louisiana cities and ports, and the employees are LA natives/transplants. Well worth the visit, and will do so again and again! More...
