Such a unique and wonderful place! I recently attended a Holiday open house and will definitely be coming back! The staff was absolutely phenomenal! My family was taking pictures and they offered to take one of all of us. Before we knew it, they were taking us all over the place trying to get the perfect picture. So thoughtful! Highly recommend this place! More...

More...

Ooo! This is a good one! I love the big shady trees, the staff that seem to be enjoying themselves thoroughly, the selection, and the prices are fair for the Naperville area. Great pots too! There are also small display gardens showing you what will grow in different conditions. It's SO helpful to see what plants do in the ground. More...

Pros: Locally owned, pretty place, great selection, knowledgeable staff, can find flowers/plants/trees/shrubs that you sometimes can't find elsewhere locally. Cons: Pricey. They commission out to contractors who do the planting for you at your home but you have to wait at home all day the day of install because the contractors don't tell you a timeframe of when they'll be there. No call, nothing. Just waiting all day. I don't know any business that does that to customers. More...

This is a very well organized delightful outdoor garden center to visit. They sell everything from shrubs, trees. roses, annuals, perennials and vegetables. Granted Home Depot prices are much cheaper they did beat out Wanamakers prices. I bought knockout roses from them because they carried the coral color I wanted and Home Depot did not. Home Depot's price for the same container $26, The Growing Place price $35 and Wannamakers $46. They do carry a bigger selection of roses and Shrubs then Home Depot and granted they're better taken care of compared to Home Depot. The sad thing is not a lot of annuals and expensive And none of the locations I visited sell flats of annuals anymore you now pay more for half flats. If I cannot find what I want at the Home depot, or can't make it to my favorite nursery Sunrise farms in Grant park Illinois I do visit this nursery. The people are super friendly what keeps me at bay are the prices More...

The people who work at the Growing Place should be blessed for sharing what they know. One woman steered me away from trying to grow cherry tomatoes in pots (they get to be 7 feet long! ), and another gave me information about the watering needs of five plants I intended to plant in one pot. The million bells weren't going to like the same amount of water that the sweet potato vine needs. Thanks for making my growing season more successful! More...

I had heard about this nursery/garden center from a friend. I decided to stop in and I'm so glad I did! This place is huge, which is hard to see from the road. There is a tremendous selection of beautiful flowers, trees, shrubs...anything you could want for your yard. The service was phenomenal the entire visit. I was greeted at the entrance, and multiple employees asked if I had been helped as I walked around despite the place being quite busy. When I did have questions, I easily found helpful employees who were knowledgeable about the specific plants I was looking at. Even the checkout was great and I received more planting tips about the items I bought. This is my new go to garden center despite others being closer to my home. Keep up the awesome service! More...
