We were so lucky to have The Grassy Cow cater our wedding. The day was absolutely magical and the food was spectacular! Every step of the way David and his team were reassuring, easygoing, and absolutely lovely to work with. At both our tasting and the wedding itself, David and his team cooked some of the best food I have ever tasted. We have heard from so many guests at the wedding how much they enjoyed the food. They were kind, fun, and adaptable. When it took twice as long as expected to flip our space from ceremony to reception, the staff brought appetizers to the porch for cocktail hour, much to the delight of our guests. David (owner) did a great job with correspondence and hard work before and during the event (wedding). He went above and beyond in terms of expectations we had of him and seemed to really care about doing a good job. He was always available for communication before the wedding and did a great job following through with everything he said he would do for us. His wife's business (Sugarmama's Baking) did an exceptional job with the cake for us as well and also went above and beyond for both my new wife and myself. Amazing doesn’t even describe the food, I had the bacon wrapped shrimp with dates. Sweet and savory with a kick of Cayenne. The butternut squash soup was to die for, full of flavor and topped with cheese and nuts. What’s your signature dish?
If there was one single dish we know would appeal to almost anyone, it would be our baked Garlic and Herb Pork Chops, served with Balsamic Portobello Mushrooms and Roasted Butternut Squash. But the Grassy Cow doesn't focus on any one dish as its "signature" dish. Instead, we focus on a style of food. Gluten free, Paleo and Keto friendly options are our forte, and we are always looking for new trends and ideas to improve our food options and food knowledge. Because we focus on supporting our local farmers whenever possible, our menus may change during the year.
How do you go about creating the perfect menu for your clients?
Creating the perfect menu is a very personal process. The Grassy Cow understands you have a vision for what you want your event to be, and we will work with you to create the perfect evening for you and your guests. We will meet with you, review your ideas, and create a menu plan to match your vision and your budget.
What do you love most about your job?
There is no greater satisfaction than putting together a meal plan, executing that plan, and seeing the guests enjoy each other and enjoy a great meal. It lets us know all the work, thought and creativity that went into planning your event with you was a success.
What inspired you to start your own business?
We love food and we love sharing our joy of fresh, healthy, gluten free foods with others. This was the reason we decided to go out on our own, leave our previous careers behind and bring joy to our community by providing quality, flavorful foods that improve the health and vitality of everyone we serve and strengthen our local family farmers and local economies.

People have many options when it comes to the foods they choose for their events. The Grassy Cow is unique in that we focus on providing fresh, healthy options free of processed ingredients and packed with flavor. We understand the frustrations of many who try to keep to their gluten free, Paleo and Keto diets, but are frustrated with the lack of options.
