What do you love most about your job?
It sounds cheesy but its making people happy! I love seeing the look on clients faces when I can bring their visions to life!
I am so lucky that I get to do a job I absolutely love. Being creative has always been important to me and in this role thats exactly what I get to do. If its a wedding cake or a special occasion cake I love letting my imagination run wild and create what my clients are looking for which I hope to be a show stopping cake! I love simplicity and elegance too and with the new age of naked cakes coming through I love creating these rustic masterpieces!
What inspired you to start your own business?
Hi everyone, my name is Francesca and I would like to take this opportunity to personally welcome you to my company bark page and tell you a little bit about myself.
I live in Wiltshire, amongst the beautiful countryside and I fell in love with baking and decorating whilst in my first year at Sussex University studying Law. Since then I have found myself making cakes for every and any family occasion, and absolutely loving it! After finishing my degree in 2015 I decided to follow my dream and started up my cake company in 2016.
Whilst avidly making cakes for family and friends for many years I decided to pursue my passion as a business, investing time and money in courses to improve and build upon my existing skills... after all there is always room for improvement!
In February 2016, I successfully completed a Professional Intensive Week of Cake Decorating Course at the renowned Squire Kitchen in Surrey and received my Core Foundation Master Certificate. Here we covered mediums such as Basic Sugarpaste, Marzipan, Royal Icing, Pastilage and how to create and assemble Sugarpaste Flowers.
In July 2016, I am attended a figure masterclass with Sweet Revolutions and also attend a specialised Sugarpaste flowers course before the end of the year.

Being a small company with just me means you get that personal touch. Every cake I make is freshly made, designed and created for you. I pride myself on being approachable and cost friendly. I love making your visions come to life and will do my very best to cater for you within budgets limits, allergies and intolerance. I love what I do and I truly believe that cake is the way to everyones heart!
I offer free delivery and set up for weddings within a 30 mile radius of Swindon as well as free delivery within 10 miles of Swindon for any other occasion cake. Then only a small charge per mile thereafter.
For weddings I offer a cake tasting and deisgn consultation which is a small cost of £20 however if you go ahead and book with me then this comes off your final cake price. This consists of you choosing any 3 flavour sponges you like (I am always open to trying new ones for clients) and up to 4 buttercreams. On the day you get to mix and match and create you prefect combinations, alongside a cup of tea and coffee of course!
