Excellent couple of nights sp2nt at the Gathering, excellent location close to the Dales and wonderful walks. Also 2 pubs with great food 5 mins walk away. ||The gathering is very well equipped, clean and lovely and warm. Food basics were there as well as a great food parcel we ordered on line from sauced.|| Very friendly welcome, when we arrived and everyone else very helpful. 3 generations of our family enjoyed a few days in Edale at The Gathering at the suggestion of our eldest granddaughter. It was a gift especially for the grandparents, aged 88 and 92 so was viewed with some apprehension. We did not need to worry, as when we arrived and saw the "Tented Lodge" with all its facilities, including a full sized walk in shower, bath, with hot and cold running water, etc, together with a large log burning oven, we soon realised that this was something special. Comfortable beds, in 3 bedrooms, in beautiful surroundings ensured that we enjoyed a wonderful family holiday, with fantastic BBQs each evening, listening to the sounds of the countryside. Daily deliveries of logs made sure that we were well looked after by the pleasant management. More...

We chose the Gathering as the location for our wedding weekend and we're so happy that we did. ||||Right from the outset Tommy and his team helped us with any query that we had and the weekend couldn't have been more perfect. ||||Over 30 of our guests were able to stay at the venue which they loved. Our wedding reception was held at the Gathering and we used an additional Marquee in the courtyard for the wedding breakfast. Our guests danced under festoon lighting long into the night with the silent disco proving especially popular. ||||We couldn't recommend the Gathering more highly to anyone looking for a rural, outdoor wedding less than 1 hour away from Manchester.||||Thank you to Tommy and his team! We recently had our wedding weekend here and cannot recommend the venue, location and team enough. Right from the first meeting, almost two years ago, Tom and the team all have gone above and beyond to help us achieve our perfect wedding day. You really couldn't have done anymore for us. Every single guest commented on how perfect the venue was and how comfortable the lodges were. The relaxed DIY venue was exactly what we were looking for and all your local vendor recommendations were perfect! Special thanks to Geoff and the team for helping us moving tables and chairs around on the day. You were all fab and we look forward to many more family holidays with you. More...

We recently celebrated our wedding at the Gathering, and could not be happier with how it all turned out. It was the only venue we looked at when thinking of where to get married, and everything about it was perfect, from the location, to the accommodation and, most of all, the people. Tommy, Lesley, Geoff and co were so incredibly kind, helpful and accommodating and allowed us to really put our own mark on the place so we could make it our own. We were really taken by their warmth and enthusiasm, and it was obvious they were keen to ensure we had the very best time possible. Tommy especially couldn't do enough for us.||||Everyone commented on how beautiful the place was, and I think the guests who stayed in the tents had the best sleep ever! 28 of us stayed at the Gathering for a festival themed hen weekend and it fantastic. But this place would also be perfect for a family holiday or a romantic break, all the girls want return! House has all the home comforts you could need and the “tents” are pretty luxurious too, everyone was really impressed with the facilities and the setting is idyllic. Communication was spot on throughout the booking process, big thanks to Tommy and Lesley for helping me with my numerous questions on the lead up and also to Geoff for all his help on the weekend. Couldn’t have asked for anything more, although I was one of the fortunate ones to be in a tent with hot running water and heated blankets - what a treat! Some of the other girls were a bit chilly but I think that may have been down to them not paying full attention to Geoff’s instructions on keeping the fires going and using the hot water bottles provided! Thanks for a great weekend and hope to see you again! More...

As a family we enjoyed an overnight stay here during half term. The location is beautifully rural with surrounding hills and neighbouring stream. The building has plenty of character with a tasteful and well thought through conversion and refurbishment. The children’s beds worked really well in the family room and the main bed was very comfortable. Crank the under-floor heating up with caution, it’s highly effective so bear this in mind when setting temperature overnight. Breakfast is self-service with a couple of cereal options, bread, eggs and milk. I imagine the location and set-up is absolutely ideal for larger gatherings. Tommy was extremely friendly and helpful - sharing local knowledge for our Mam Tor walk with children and good advice for a scenic route to our onward destination. We tried the pub at the end of the lane ... it filled hungry tummy’s but the food wasn’t great. Not that this is associated with the B&B but worth seeing what the other nearby options are. Overall highly recommended. More...

We celebrated a 50th birthday with a group of not yet old girlfriends in the most beautiful setting of the Gathering in Edale. The tent we stayed in was not a tent, it was a palace! The surroundings are stunning, there is wood fired pizza down the lane at the weekend and the pub down the same lane serves a great breakfast. ||We had a brilliant time catching up around the log burner, the wood and the home made fire lighters were replenished every morning by Geoff and Tommy when Geoff was off. Both were lovely, chatty and super helpful. Thank you guys for the warm welcome and a wonderful stay. Great memories were made. ||Extra brownie points for Geoff who brought the birthday girl her own hugging log ;) (two pieces of wood intertwined as thought they were hugging)... how did he guess she's a wee hippie at heart... We got married at The Gathering in August 2017. We had fallen in love with The Gathering on first sight and knew it would make the perfect venue for our special day! ||We took the apartment in the shooting lodge as the bridal base and then all our friends and family stayed in the beautiful safari tents/ shooting lodge. Our guests absolutely loved the accommodation and we had so many positive comments. The tents have everything you could need to make your weekend perfect. The shooting lodge is a fab base for Friday night family time and the stone walled hall made the best dancefloor!||Tommy and his staff couldn't have been more amazing. They were happy for us to decorate the venue as we wanted and were on hand to help us out over the whole weekend. On our wedding day they set up all the firepits so people could toast marshmallows and Tommy set up the bbqs for a family bbq on Sunday.||One of the most amazing thing about this venue, is that it is yours for the whole weekend, so you get to have a whole wedding weekend. It is so unique and you can absolutely make it your own. I doubt any two weddings at this venue would look the same. I would not hesitate to The Gathering. Tommy, Jeff and the team looked after us incredibly well and could not have done more to ensure we were happy. They showed us great hospitality and kindness. This is the most amazing place. We visited for the first time a couple of years ago when we were first searching for wedding venues and they were just starting out doing weddings. We arrived late at night in the dark in February, found our little apartment in the keepers lodge (it had lights on and was warm and cozy!) We slept on the comfiest bed ever and woke up to the frost covered sunny hills with chickens wandering past our front door. In the fridge were all the best local ingredients to make our breakfast. Before we even met Tommy or had our tour we knew this was where we wanted to marry! We were both besotted!||||Since then we have stayed a few times and we celebrated our wedding in July! Tommy, Kirstie and their kids are such a great family! They’ve built a really special place and are part of why we loved and chose it. Over the months Tommy put up with A LOT of questions and special requests from me :-) From the reports from our friends and family ALL of the rooms and tents are really comfortable and so beautifully decorated (Kirstie!). In the few days leading up to our wedding we met Geoff and his team who could not have done any more for us. His beautiful dog Mac kept us entertained (my niece was obsessed with him!) whilst they were up ladders, moving hay bales, driving people around, hanging origami cranes, you name it… we had a crazy amount of decorations and honestly couldn’t have done it without them. ||||We had the most incredible weekend and wedding day we could have imagined! Mike and Viv (Edale Pizza Company) made us pizzas on the Friday night. On Saturday we had our ceremony outside surrounded by hills, followed by a picnic, a huge South African braai (we had a bit of a South African theme!) in the evening we danced in the shooting lodge and toasted marshmallows over the fire. It was magical! The Gathering will always be a special place to us and we intend to return every year forever more! Thank you guys!!! More...

Tommy and his amazing team could not have done more to make our holiday perfect. ||Getting away from the busyness of our day to day lives and enjoying the beautiful countryside and hidden gems, such as the waterfall and dipping pool, was just what we needed. Our group of 5 adults stayed in the Ryedale for a 4 night midweek break.||||The tent is extremely comfortable and well-equipped. We were there during a heat wave so didn't need to use the under-bed heaters or wood burning stove, although we did use the outdoor firepit and oil lamps in the evenings. The bathroom was modern and well laid out, with plenty of towels and some lovely toiletries provided. There was a selection of board games suitable for various ages. Tommy and his team were very friendly and helpful.||||We ate out every evening at one or the other of the two village pubs, both of which we found to have a good selection of food including plenty of vegetarian options. We ate breakfast at the local cafe on one morning, again good food and a pleasant atmosphere. ||||There is no mobile reception / internet at the Gathering, but none of us missed this. We did use the wifi in the pubs to catch up on anything urgent in the evenings.||||The walk into the village is pretty level with very little traffic, with the closest pub only about 5 minutes from the tents. There are lots of footpaths starting from the village including the start of the Pennine Way, or you can walk in the opposite direction alongside the sheep pastures to reach a ford and join the footpaths over the moors from there.||||My favourite part of the stay was falling asleep to the sounds of sheep bleating in the distance and the Grinds Brook bubbling behind the tent which made for a very restful ||night's sleep. This was our second visit to The Gathering. We asked our friends to join us with their 2 children. Once again it was a fantastic holiday. Nothing is too much trouble. The first night of our stay it was very windy the remnants of hurricane Ophelia and because the apartment was free they had organised for us to sleep there instead of in the tent. This just made life so much easier with 2 small children. Geoff is great he’s always making sure everything is ok and Tommy & Kirsty are really lovely. This is a really special place, gorgeous tents, picturesque surroundings you can make so many amazing memories, a visit to Chatsworth then the farm shop to buy nice food for the BBQ, a day at the tent where you can have a hiking adventure to find the waterfalls. There is also a big stable conversion where there is a kitchen and booths with dining tables, we made dinner there our last night where the kids can run around play games and the ovens are bigger and easier to cook a meal for 6. |All in all we had a fantastic holiday, our friends were so impressed by the quality of the tents and how well equipped they are. We’ll certainly be back, we’ve fallen hook line and sinker for this gem of a place. More...

After weeks of searching to little avail, my now wife and I stumbled upon the website for The Gathering and after an initial visit, very quickly decided this was where we wanted to get married. Having been to many places around the world, few locations inspire awe like the setting of The Gathering.||||From first visit, through to the day and even after, every single person involved with this incredible place has been as equally as incredible in their attitude and care. They were instrumental in making sure we had everything we needed to be able to have the Wedding that we wanted. They place trust in you to do as you wish with the venue, knowing that most will repay that with the respect it deserves.||||Facilities are high-spec with close attention paid to detail: fully equipped bar area, incl. ice-machine, in-built sound-system and PA (we had a Karaoke setup for the evening!) table tennis, kitchen(s), masses of fridge space. I haven't even mentioned the tents; they need to be seen to be believed.||||Tommy et al also have an extensive list of contacts that helped massively when planning logistics, such as food - Mike from Edale Woodfire Pizza gets a special mention for his enthusiasm and fantastic pizzas on the big day.||||Whether you're planning on simply coming for a weekend break or planning the most important day of your life, don't think twice, just book it. We took a large group of family and friends to The Gathering over a long weekend in September 2016. We had exclusive use of the site and were extremely pleased with the accommodation and our hosts, Tommy and Kirsty (and Baxter the dog), who could not have been more welcoming and helpful. The setting, right at the top of Edale village, is spectacularly beautiful.||||The trip had been *some* time in the planning and I had originally visited the site in March 2016 when only two of the large tents had been installed and the building works to the Shooting Lodge were a work in progress. So when we arrived on the Friday afternoon, and saw what an amazing transformation had taken place, we were thrilled. ||||The accommodation at the Gathering is simply fantastic. The tents each have three bedrooms (a double, and two twins), toilet/bathroom and large living dining area. They are well equipped with almost everything you could possibly need. The Shooting Lodge has been finished to a very high standard and has a large dining area, hall, bar and kitchen in the main building downstairs. There are two bedrooms (sleeping six in total) and two bathrooms above the dining room and kitchen. There is also a self-contained annex next to the bar, with its own kitchen/dining area and two ensuite bedrooms above. This section of the Shooting Lodge I found particularly impressive - as good as any boutique hotel I have stayed in.||||Throughout the planning process and during our stay, the owners Tommy and Kirsty were extremely helpful and flexible, answering my many, many emails promptly and politely. They checked on us regularly during our stay to make sure we had everything we needed, but without being intrusive.||||I would thoroughly and wholeheartedly recommend that you take a visit up to Edale and visit this amazing place. I can't wait until I get the opportunity to return and I know that the rest of our party felt the same.||||Thank you so much for such a wonderful and memorable stay! More...

I dont usually do reviews - but I had to for this amazing place.||We took the whole family to the Gathering on a whim ( i'm not usually a happpy camper) and had the very best sort of family holiday possible. ||Such comfort and homeliness deep in the heart of the high peaks.||Room for a family of six with animals to spare.||For an amzing price you get your own suite of hotel rooms - In the middle of gods own country.||Just gonna make a list:||Beds - Moooooost comfortable beds known to mankind. Tommy and Kirsty at The Gathering provided the venue for my best friend's wedding. As best man and with a background in the wedding business I can wholeheartedly say this is one of the best weddings I've attended. It was the first wedding to be hosted by The Gathering and if this is their debut, there are some very special times to come. Tommy and Kirsty are tirelessly attentive and really do open their special home and venue to cater to every need you might have. It's the perfect venue for a semi-DIY, relaxed, country-chic wedding allowing guests to feel real ownership and involvement in the success of the event, whilst providing enough support to make sure the day runs smoothly, even though the Peak District weather may try to derail it at times.||||Thanks for all your efforts guys, we will definitely be back to relive some amazing memories! We visited the Gathering with four friends at the end of September 2015 and it was magical. We had the warmest of welcomes from Tom and Kirsty and the tent, if you can call it that, as it did feel like staying in a plush hotel, was fantastic and so well kitted out. It was the best bed I have slept in for a long time and the bathroom was fully plumbed in with a flushing toilet, bath and shower! We even enjoyed having to light the stoves for hot water and heat. The setting right in the heart of Edale was idyllic and the sun shone for the whole time we were there always an added bonus. I would recommend going to look for yourself. Jane Nottingham More...

I would normally choose luxury over life under canvas but The Gathering has changed my views entirely by combining luxury and camping with real style. The stunning location sets the scene and the tent is extremely well equipped for six people with comfy sofa and chairs plus a dining table and all the cooking and dining equipment needed. Thoughtful touches include board games, cosy woollen throws and everything needed for cocktails! The bathroom was beyond expectations and having a candlelit bath by a wood burning stove is blissful. ||We stayed in the autumn of 2015 but the stoves ensured we stayed cosy at all times. Local facilities are nearby (but not too close) for pub meals and pizzas. Tom and Kirsty are great hosts for whom nothing is too much trouble. Overall, an experience not to be missed. More...

We stayed at The Gathering twice in 2015 and had an amazing time on both occasions. Edale is a stunning place, nestled at the foot of incredible green rolling hills. The little train line takes you there in super quick time from either Manchester or Sheffield, or it's a beautiful drive through the countryside. The Gathering itself couldn't be in a more perfect spot - at the very end of the one road that goes all the way through the charming village, you feel like you've come into a different world when you arrive, despite the fact you're only a short distance from the lovely pubs and beautiful buildings of Edale itself. ||||The tents themselves are really something to behold - so much more than any other kind of luxury camping I've yet experienced. Kirsty and Tommy have chosen everything so well, including beautiful furnishings in the main room and ridiculously comfortable beds that you never want to get out of. And the prospect of a wood fired boiler filling your roll top bath with perfect hot water so you can soak whilst listening to the stream running past outside is just perfect. Our two little uns had the time of their lives staying there and are desperate to come back, as are we. More...

We had the absolute pleasure of staying in the shooting lodge for one night. We were a party of three brothers celebrating are advancing years and picked this location due to its close proximity to Kinder Scout. Words cannot express that absolute joy we had. The owners could not have been more accommodating the location is sublime, the rooms beautiful, the attention to detail stunning and the Breakfast, so large that 3 x 16 stone men could not eat it all. A mention must however go to the large Pizza had in the lane the night before and the stunning desert at the Ramblers Inn down the road. We will be back and back again to this delightful place. We stayed there twice last summer as once wasn't enough! The second time we brought back extended family, including grandparents and created a lasting memory of the best family weekend ever. The unparalleled setting, with privacy, peace, views that take your breathe away, is already quite enough - but to enjoy that camping experience with the added luxuries of a roll top bath, most comfortable bed Ive ever slept in, and hot running water is quite hard to rate! 11 out of 10? Magical moments of sitting around the camp fire after managing to roast TWO chicken in the wood fired stove (feeding 13!) as the sun went down telling stories and enjoying a few glasses of wine are unforgettable. I could go on. Just go: we loved it so much we are getting married up there this year! the surrounding countryside and villages are stunning, great for walks, foodies, historians....Not sure where to start with Tommy and Kirsty, the hosts....NOTHING is too much. they are informative, jolly, friendly and they have thought of everything. One thing to add: I don't usually LIKE camping! Now a glamping convert. More...

We stayed at the Gathering in August 2015, with two young children and a dog. All made so welcome by Tom and Kirsty who had thought of every detail. Wood for the woodburning stoves (yes there is even one in the bathroom to heat up water so you can have a bath), ice for the coolbox to keep the wine and milk at the right temperature, a special pen for the dog, lots of games for the children to play and playmates for them to play with. The tents are truly amazing with three separate bedrooms and proper drawers to put your clothes in, a well equipped kitchen with all you need and the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. The tents are located next to a stream off a quiet track so nothing but sheep and running water to disturb your peace. There is lots of lovely walking in Edale and the children loved walking up the stream and swimming in the waterfalls (only for the hardy!). Would highly recommend this especially to those who, like me, enjoy their creature comforts! More...

We had a really lovely family weekend break at The Gathering. Six of us staying in one of the tents - 2 parents, 2 grown kids and respective wives/husbands. We wanted to do something a little different, rather than stay in a normal holiday let, but as our parents are in their 60s, traditional camping wasn't really going to work. The tents at The Gathering are spacious and well equipped, with comfy sofas, real beds and hot running water - plus a full bathroom. You still have the feel of being under canvas, but can keep the tent cosy with the wood burning stove and aren't sleeping on the floor. Cooking on the stove is a lot of fun too. ||The owners (Tommy and Kirsty) are lovely - welcoming and warm and open - they are very keen to share this beautiful corner of the country with their guests. We really enjoyed meeting them and hearing about the history of the area and the farm, plus their plans for hosting events on site (for which it will be a perfect location) with the tents and the barn conversion.||The location is lovely - beautiful countryside and plenty of walks for all abilities close by.||Even though the area is a walkers dream with miles of paths and hikes to explore, The Gathering is sufficiently off the beaten track to be totally relaxing if thats what you prefer. I loved being able to disconnect from the world for a few days.||Highly recommended - we would love to come back again sometime. More...

We have just returned from a week long stay at The Gathering & we really have had the most wonderful break. I cannot recommend this place enough - an incredible location at the start of the pennine way and situated next to a stream which adds to the calm and serenity of the place. ||We stayed in The Ryedale which is a huge safari tent with a king size bed and two further rooms with single beds to sleep 6 in total. The bedding and bathroom could have come straight out of a boutique hotel and for people that normally get out of bed at 6am, we had ridiculous lie ins as the beds were just so comfy! This is glamping at a completely different level! ||The Ryedale has hot running water (I think you have to fire up stoves in the other 3 tents to heat the water) and is accessible for those with disabilities. There is parking adjacent to the tent and very easy access. The hosts Tommy & Kirsty really have thought of everything & the kitchen is very well equipped with a gas ring to make a quick cup of tea or meal. This tent even has a fridge to keep the wine and beer super chilled! There is a dining table for 6 in the tent, as well as outdoor table and chairs, and a really comfortable sofa and chair next to the log burner which throws out heat. Don't be frugal with the logs - keep the fire topped up and Tommy or Geoff will replace kindling and logs every day. We were even brought ice every evening for G&Ts - what more can you ask for?! ||Tommy & Kirsty are the perfect hosts and they have created an incredible bolt hole. They are attentive without being overbearing and the most genuine people we have ever met. We had our 4 year old with us & they even brought her a bag of toys and introduced her to their children to play with. Nothing is too much trouble. ||I could go on but you must try it for yourselves. We will definitely be back...| More...

I rarely get around to leaving reviews, even for places that I have loved - but I really feel people should know about The Gathering at Edale, especially as it is so new. What a fantastic place, with lovely owners who couldn't have been nicer and more accommodating.||||My wife and I stayed here in June with some friends and our toddler, and it was the perfect place for our getaway in the Peak District. ||||The tents themselves are lovely - so comfortable and cozy, with a nice kitchen, living room and dining area where you can enjoy evenings of food cooked on the gas hob or the wood burning stove/oven. For those of you wanting a little more comfort than regular camping (just as my 7-month pregnant wife did) the bathrooms are lovely, with a fully plumbed-in toilet, bath and shower. Best of all though are the beds - AMAZING - with all of our group agreeing they were the most comfortable we'd ever slept in.||||The location in Edale is also great, at the end of a country lane that begins behind the famous pub (about a 5 min walk away) so you can also pop for a pint or to the shop. We woke each morning to the sound of a stream, birdsong and lambs in the nearby fields. ||||Tommy and his family were also fantastic and so generous - nothing was too much trouble. Hot croissants magically appeared at breakfast time, and on our last morning he even shared some of the local black pudding when he learned we were making a fry-up. ||||I'd recommend this place to anyone wanting a quiet getaway with a bit of comfort. My Husband and I decided to have a week off with our two doggies for some much needed peace, rest and fresh air. I almost don't want to write this and share the little corner of heaven that we found for fear that we won't be able to get in in future but. ...||||We couldn't of chosen anywhere better than The Gathering Edale. We were greeted by the most welcoming bunch of people who made us feel at home from the second that we arrived. Literally nothing is too much trouble for these amazing folks. They have the balance just right, enough popping in to make sure that you have everything that you need but enough time left alone to just relax and to enjoy the incredible facilities.||||The tents...WOW! Make no mistake, you won't be slumming it here. These tents are beautiful. Warm, spotlessly clean, comfy beds with beautiful bed linen, warm and soft blankets in every room. I just can't say enough about how impressed we were. The attention to detail is beyond words. We have done "Glamping" before but this is on a totally different level.||||Dogs...were provided with bowls, bed, poo bags and made to feel very welcome. They had the best time ever and were exhausted at the end of each day. There are so many dog walks to chose from in the area but the favourite activity for our two was playing in the stream that runs through the farm. Whats also really nice is that the pubs are all used to muddy boots and muddy paws so no need to worry about that. Sadly, we don't have children but if you do, this is the stuff that kids dreams are made of!||||If you are thinking of booking, don't hesitate for single second. You will love it!||||Thank you to everyone at The Gathering for making our few days so special. x More...

Our daughter chose the Gathering as a place to celebrate our Ruby Wedding anniversary together as a family. There were six of us plus our little grand daughter. What an inspired choice. We had always camped with our children as they were growing up and indeed camped in Derbyshire on our honeymoon in the year of the drought. This was camping like we had never experienced before. The beds were really comfortable and the tent was brillianly equipped. We had deliveries of logs and kindling each morning to fuel our two woodburning stoves and had plenty of hot water in no time. With the paraffin lamps inside and the fire cauldron and barbeque outside we soon set about creating a lovely atmosphere and enjoying a most wonderful and relaxing time together. Tommy was a brilliant and friendly host and with the help of Geoff couldn't do enough for us to ensure all was well. The setting is stunning with a beautiful walk along a stream and up the valley only minutes away. We had the most perfect time here. More...

This place is beautiful. The owners have worked hard to cover all bases to ensure you have a great time and you really feel they are welcoming you to their own slice of heaven. They even brought colouring supplies, books and games for the children when it rained one afternoon. The alpaca blankets are beautiful and the bed linen akin to a five star hotel. The tents were like nothing we'd seen before! Comfiest beds in the world, complete with hot water bottles for the cold evenings. We wanted somewhere different, out of the way but close to amenities for our team building event and The Gathering fitted the bill perfectly. Tommy and his team were fantastic hosts and looked after us superbly from start to finish. The tents were great fun even in October and were very cosy and warm with the log burners lit. We hired one of the safari tents for four days to celebrate a special birthday - booked at the last minute as usual and how lucky! It was glorious. ||Arrived in the dark. We didn't get lost as we followed the travel instructions to the letter - there really is a gate and private lane up to The Gathering to the left side of the Old Nag's Head. We were able to offload right next to the tent before parking at the top of the drive and walking back.||The tent has three bedrooms, separated by canvas 'walls' and heavy curtains offer privacy. First job is to warm the lounge/diner/kitchen area with a wood burner that doubles as the oven and a second wood burner which heats the water and bathroom. Lighting is by paraffin lamps and some battery powered LED lamps. There is one socket in the tent for charging. It's all very easy to use and very comfortable.||It is dark in the tents even during the day so a head torch is useful but then you spend most of the time outside. The surroundings are beautiful for walking or mountain biking (all right on your doorstep) or just relax by the outdoor fire on the decking. The beds are simply amazing. Our only problem was gales which sounded like there was a hurricane outside - that's the joy of camping, even when as glamorous as 'The Gathering'.||Definitely recommend going to Hathersage Social Club - it's a must. We had an amazing Persian 5 course feast. The breakfasts at Coopers Cafe are also a highlight.||Finally, Tommy, who runs the Gathering, is such a lovely person, incredibly kind and hospitable, from the start of the booking process through to our waving a sad goodbye. You really must stay there! More...
