Never knew this was in Bury, well worth the entrance fee and if you need any help with finding family members who have served with Fusilies they offer a tracing service you just need the name and service number and they will do there best and you make a donation at the end.

A small cafe situated upstairs from the museum, bright and spacey inside with very reasonably priced menu, was only in for short time but pleasant experience the staff polite and welcoming with a staff member helping a blind customer to the lift a place to definitely checkout

A few good men have visited here to view the armies of the past, present. Bury in itself is a place of History, the museum is a must visit place as is the steam railway.

A really good small museum, interesting, accessible and the staff are friendly and helpful. I recommend parking at Tesco at Woodfield Retail Park on Angeloume Way and walking to the museum: cross the dual carriageway, take the footpath to the right past the Parish Church, forward, keeping The Robert Peel pub on your right, go straight ahead on to Silver Street (HSBC will be on your left as you cross the road). Enjoy

everything and certainly the staff be it the girls in the cafe or the ladies on the reception and certainly our guide Mr Steve Fitt, just a great display of the 18 VCs won by the Lancashire Fusiliers in WW1. It should be on all schools curriculum to visit and marvel at the given explanations of how they the VCs were won. More...

i visited to view the 18 for 18 exhibition and was greatly impressed.the whole museum, it's displays etc are very informative. the staff all welcoming, cheerful and helpful. My only negative is that modern trend of placing medal displays into drawers, personally i like to see them hung in cabinets, A museum everyone can be proud of. More...

I visited The fusiliers on 1.11.18 for a awards function with six town housing. The building is beautiful, clean I didn’t get much time to look round, except the shop, well stocked, displays and all at a reasonable price. The staff were all very helpful, friendly and all smiled. The food we had at the awards, mixed sandwiches and cake again, displayed on platters, very good variation, as much tea/coffee/ juice as you wanted. I would definitely recommend or a venue/function. I will be calling back at my leisure to have a look round, I believe the cafe is very nice, can’t wait to call in again very soon. More...
