Chris and his team made us feel incredibly welcome. The food and wine were great, and we enjoyed more conversation in the comfy chairs by the fireplace in the Library, before retiring to our cozy and comfortable rooms. The next morning Chris whipped us up a big breakfast before we hike the Ocean Floor @ Burntcoat Head Park. A fabulous 24 hours! More...

It is obvious that they take great effort (and pride) in sourcing local and sustainable ingredients, with a menu that changes weekly. The building itself is unique- part bookstore, part art gallery, post office, cooking school, and food mercantile. It would be a fulfilling visit even without the spiced blueberry crumble (or perfectly breaded fish and chips, or beef brisket, or...). A perfect destination for a Sunday drive or special occasion. Now fly away, fly away! More...

The food is very unique and very well prepared. The staff is friendly and accommodating. I wish we lived closer because they say the menu changes weekly and I would love to experience more of their food creativity. They also sell, in frozen form to take home, many of the products available on their menu. The Vegan Burger to purchase frozen is quite expensive but having eaten it in the dining room I would have to say it is worth the money - just not a luxury I could give myself every day. They also sell a number of jams prepared on site and I now regret not having picked up a couple of them! Overall, definitely worth a try. More...

The drink recommendations suited our taste and our food choices. The menu was varied with a unique selection. The starter and main course were such great taste experiences we had to try desserts . Great variarions of what you may think are traditional local desserts . The service was relaxed, casual and genuine . We highly recommend The Flying Apron . More...

A very sophisticated culinary experience at a relatively low price point, and it feels good knowing you're supporting locally sourced food and drink from multiple small and family operated farms, breweries, and other businesses.

One of my favourite restaurants. I would come weekly if it wasn't over an hour drive. Fantastic, original, changing menu. Sustainable and environmentally conscious choices. Delicious. Great staff. I could go for slightly better prices but you get what you pay for and it's worth every penny! More...

Quality food, locally sourced, good portions. A little secret, not well know but a treat for the taste buds, friendly service and comfortable seating inside or outside, with deserts that are just too good. Highly recommended.

Very cute, comfortable and tidy. Loved the outdoor patio except for the minor odor of garbage wafting by. Definitely will be back, especially since the menu changes weekly...or so I heard.

An out of the way inn with a resto, definitely one of my best meals. Everything is locally sourced or substantially sourced. The food is fresh, tasty and inventive.
