Unfortunately I needed to order flowers for a wake on Labor Day weekend. Everything was closed on Sunday and Monday and the wake was on Tuesday. To make matters worse we are 1500 miles away. The funeral home listed The Flower Cottage as one of the preferred florists, so I checked out the website and also looked at others in the area. The Flower Cottage had a lot of the same arrangements the others did but their prices were much lower. I really wanted something special to go along with my flowers and The Flower Cottage had a wonderful concrete Angel which the grieving family could take home and put in their yard as a remembrance of the angel they have in heaven. I had a relative who attended the wake yesterday who was kind enough to take a picture of the angel and the flower basket. The basket was even better than pictured online and had a lot of unopened Lily's that would make the basket last and look more beautiful as the days go on. What drew my attention was their virtual tour. I saw a lot of things that I didnt even know that they had there. I went there to buy some gifts and the staff was great. While I was there I heard the owner speaking to another customer and she was extremely helpful. Ordered center pieces for my daughters bridal shower for this past Saturday. So happy with how they turned out. We brought in DIY rustic vases that we made and the flower cottage put the arrangement in for us. We used hydrangeas with a little greenery. The arrangements were on time as scheduled and looked beautiful. All of the staff that I had contact with were very friendly and courteous I would highly recommend them for any arrangement. More...

We recently used Flower Cottage for our grandmother's flowers for her passing. My mother has used the shop for years for our dance flowers and when we all entered into the chapel they took our breath away! The color of pink flowers that were her favorite was more beautiful than I can put into words and were perfect for honoring her memory. The many different blooms in various pinks were the prettiest flowers and everyone remarked about them. Flower Cottage, you made a very hard day, a little easier. Our daughter's wedding was 1 week ago today and the gorgeous centerpieces Patty created for the reception are still in full bloom today. Words can't describe how beautiful the flowers looked! Patty's artistic flair was also in full bloom with the bridal bouquets and church arrangements. Our flowers of choice … hydrangeas, roses and gorgeous greenery flowed in generous abundance throughout.We loved the attention to detail; also, Patty was always available for any additions and/or changes that we requested leading up to the wedding. I definitely recommend The Flower Cottage. I was able to sit down and look at photo books for ideas and show pictures of what I had in mind and they crafted something based on what I wanted and within my budget. When I needed something special - I went to the Flower Cottage! My daughter was turning 30. My idea was to have her logo made out of flowers. Her logo is a mythical creature that is bear like, winged and horned. I brought in a drawing to the Flower Cottage! When I picked up the arrangement, the logo was was standing in a large bed of flowers. The florist could see that I was surprised at the size and asked if I would like less flowers. These ladies did my flowers for my wedding and let me tell you they were beyond gorgeous. I gave them a search of color and told them to have fun. They took my vision and made it a reality. Their pricing is very reasonable. I was honestly beyond happy with all of my flowers and would highly recommend. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was that there was a little confusion about what from the church they were supposed to bring to the reception hall. My husband was upset right after the ceremony for this reason. However just put everything you agree on in writing and you'll be fine. More...

I am so happy with the service I got from The Flower Cottage. I called in an order for  flowers and asked if I could put a rush on it. They got the flowers out to my daughter right away and she was SO happy with the beautiful arrangement that was made up for her. I had been planning our 9/07/13 Chicago wedding from California "internet bride" lol and Patty was excellent at responding to all of my emails.  I gave her details of what I envisioned for the flowers for our wedding day and she and her team exceeded my expectations.  Without ever seeing a sample before our wedding, the bouquets, boutineers, candelabras, and centerpieces were all just as I had imagined.  Their price was competitive, but certainly reasonable.  The flowers were very fresh and had big beautiful blooms.  She delivered everything to the city on time, even with a movie being filmed in front of our venue.  I would not have changed anything.  I wish I could have thanked Patty in person, but unfortunately was busy getting my hair done when she brought the flowers.  I would not hesitate to recommend The Flower Cottage to anyone.  It's sad that I could not take all of the flowers back home to California with me, they were just all so beautiful.  Thank you Patty and creative team for making our wedding ceremony and reception beautiful like my dream! This is THE florist to go to. They do such a beautiful job! I just bought a thanksgiving centerpiece for a very fussy relative and she just loved this one. The colors were so vibrant and the composition of the flowers were so different, not your run of the mill florals you could get anywhere. I must say the selection was bountiful too when I placed my order. I have been going here for years but the service this time was so much more friendly. I love this place and you will too. Great Florist!  Owner is amazing.   Treats every customer as if a personal friend.  Can tell they really care about making every customer happy regardless of being a a whole wedding event, or just buying one flower to make someone's day.  Not to mention they have the freshest, most beautiful flowers at the cheapest prices around.    Hope they're in business for many years to come!  Hard to find service and quality in one place any more.  But his place has both.
