I'm so happy to see The Fleece is still upholding the same standard of quality in terms of food and service since the last time I visited in 2014! It's such a cute and charming pub at the top of a hill with gorgeous views and scenery. The food is always spot on and the staff are lovely. It's sad that a few familiar faces aren't working there anymore but despite that, the place still maintains a welcoming and enjoyable place to enjoy a meal, Sunday lunch, deliciously decadent dessert or a relaxing drink by the fire place. Wonderful views across valley and mountains. The rooftop eating place is heavenly on a good day.

We had our office event here for two days and we thoroughly enjoyed it.

Amazing, we booked last minute for a Saturday night meal and I can’t say anything less than perfect. The staff were very welcoming, food was great and just overall a very pleasant evening. The chef even went the extra mile creating us a large desert platter as we could not choose what to have...Amazing! More...

Gorgeous food the only downside was they do not serve chicken Sunday lunch which is the only meat I eat. The creme brulee was unbelievable

We stayed overnight. The room was fantastic, although we had to get some duvets downstairs from the loft room since my daughter couldn't be allowed to go up and down the stairs. When my children are a little older this will be a fantastic stay though. The staff couldn't be more helpful and friendly. The food was OK. I am a dairy intolerant veggie and I had the mushroom risotto and the vegetable tagline which was marked vegan. The risotto was great, the tagine a bit bland. I would recommend. More...

I visited The Fleece on Boxing Day because I couldn't be bothered to cook. I would have expected to pay a lot for the privilege but not only was I surprised to be able to make a reservation with only 3 days notice, it only cost £17 for 2 courses or £20 for 3. If you're not familiar with the pub, you never leave hungry because portions are big, so this represents particularly good value. Food was pretty decent quality, the roast beef in particular being a highlight and service was good, as ever. They forgot to bring a spoon for the soup starter but otherwise I couldn't complain. I've been on several occasions and will continue to visit in the future. More...

Attended a Michael Bublè night with 3 others. The food was excellent and the staff were always on hand and very friendly. They sorted out any issues quickly and we all enjoyed the night.

Really nice restaurant and Inn. We went there with our daughter, her baby and our son-in-law and hadn't reserved a table but even though it was Saturday lunchtime, they still managed to find us a table for 6 (our son-in-law's Mum and Dad met up with us later) We had a lovely time and the atmosphere in the Fleece was really magical with lots of twinkling lights from the ceiling and amazing views across the countryside. The food was excllent and well worth the money. There was a good variety of meat, fish and vegetarian dishes which looked and tasted great. The staff came across as very competent, professional and friendly and as soon as they saw our Granddaughter, they brought a high chair without having to be asked. All in all a really nice place with great food and not too expensive prices and we would definitely go there again. More...

You don't achieve Yorkshire pub of the year status for no good reason and, although not this year's winner, The Fleece is an excellent place to dine, snack, have a good pint of beer and take in wonderful views of the Ryburn valley. Good varied menus of lovely food served by hardworking and very pleasant, helpful staff. What's not to like! More...

Beautiful place to go when the sun is shining! There's a huge roof terrace where they cook outside, so you get to enjoy the surrounding views - which are incredible - with a mouth watering smell of food. They do some great burgers here!

Very nice food and decor. We had a large party in and all the good arrived together which is always a bonus.

The food itself was good quality however away from the set menu the price is a little steep, £14-£15 a main, not forgetting this is a pub.

Well worth a visit if your crossing the M62, beats the services!
