I have been seeing Nadine since June and she is the most amazing trainer. I was very nervous to start at first because I had rarely gone to the gym and I knew it would be very hard for me at the beginning, but she made it very easy for me to begin and continue my journey with her. She has a very positive attitude and always motivates you to push yourself a little harder than before. The vibe at her location is awesome, everyone that trains with her is very nice and friendly, I have seen many of her clients improve noticeably within the time I have been there. I also have seen how my resistance has improved and I have lost over 70 lbs within 5 1/2 months following the meal plan she provided and the workouts she gives us. After moving here a few years ago, and leaving a really physically active job, I pretty quickly got out of shape. I kept wanting to get back to working out but I've always been intimidated by gyms and gym bros, and it's too hot here for me to be outside a lot of the year. I did a TON of research and came across Nadine and her gym The Fitness Joint and it sounded like exactly what I was looking for: private sessions and/or small group classes with a female trainer. I sent Nadine an inquiry and she got back to me super quickly and we arranged a time to meet.From the first time that I visited I was super comfortable with Nadine, and I loved the friendly and supportive atmosphere that she's fostered at her place. She's incredibly encouraging, which was awesome for me since I'm not very self-motivated and I can get discouraged easily. I've been been going for about 6 weeks now and I really feel stronger, look better, and just in general feel so much better each day!I really can't recommend her enough- she's fantastic at tailoring workouts to a variety of fitness levels, she gave me a meal plan personalized to what I like to eat, and she managed to make working out fun!! I love Nadine. She's really down-to-earth and relatable. As a trainer, she pushes us without being overly aggressive,and that's really motivating. We work out in small groups, and she tailors  the workout to each person's needs. I leave after the hour completely gross and sweaty, and she works me out hard!. After 4 weeks, my butt looks better! I moved to Arizona 11 months ago, leaving my trainer behind in Oregon. I was worried about finding the right fit again but the universe was listening. Two weeks after moving I was having dinner with friends and given Nadine's name and number. That is when my relationship with The Fitness Joint began. 10 months later I'm thrilled to say it was the best choice I could have made. I have lost inches, gained confidence, lost body fat percentage, and gained strength. She makes training fun, brutal, but fun. She has a way of encouraging you but also listening to your needs. She talks you through the moves to decide if it's the best one for you. She is always changing things up so boredom isn't an issue. I can not recommend The Fitness Joint enough. I have been coming here since June '19, and so far I am loving the results. I have gone done in body fat percentage and gaining some muscle, and endurance along the way. I am actually able to run without getting winded in the first minutes of running, which is something that i have never been able to do before. If you like have a hype man when working, then this is definitely the place for you. Until this summer I had literally never worked out regularly in my life and had a lot of not-great feelings about my body. When I decided I was ready to make a real effort, I started looking for local gyms with affordable personal or small group training and relaxed, welcoming atmospheres. I couldn't be happier with what Nadine is doing with The Fitness Joint. She's great at drawing out more effort than you knew you had while respecting your limits. I'm always challenged but never overwhelmed or made to feel unsafe. After just a month I look better and, more importantly, I feel much less pathetic. After years of disappointment with other personal trainers, I finally got results with Nadine. Did I lose weight? No. But I lost inches, which is more important. Your clothes don't lie! I could look even better if I were more fastidious about my diet and did extra cardio. (Current life circumstances prevent me from doing so. This is obviously not Nadine's fault.) Change can be incredibly difficult. When I moved here from Oregon 9 months ago, I was very unhappy where I was at health wise. I had just graduated from college and was weighing at 165lbs. I was always feeling tired, bloated, and weak. For almost 2 months without a job I tried working out on my own. Going on walks with my dog, doing 24 minute HIIT's here and there in my own home, but I wasn't feeling any stronger and wasn't seeing the changes I wanted to see. One day my mom came home from seeing a personal trainer. She told me I would love her and should give it a shot. I had never worked with a personal trainer before. I have been on countless sport teams up until college. I had done workouts with friends. Did a program called BBG my sophomore year of college, but never thought of going to a personal trainer. The first day I went to see Nadine, changed my life for the better. Don't get me wrong, the first day was hell. I could easily see me working out on my own hadn't done much at all after one workout with Nadine. But, I knew I found someone who would push me. So, I kept showing up. I have been seeing Nadine constantly 2-3 times a week for 7 months. I know weight matters to some, so I will share that I have dropped down to 145lbs. I HUGE factor in that is nutrition. Which I am 90% vegan. HOWEVER. I have never felt SO strong. The weight doesn't matter to me. The physical appearance doesn't matter to me. What does matter to me is the feeling of being STRONG. 7 months of hard work. 7 months of her pushing me to places I didn't know I could be pushed, and showing me I'm hella of a lot stronger than I ever thought I was. I started going to Nadine about a year ago - and id says it's one of the top 3 decisions I made in 2018. I was really amazed last summer when after only6 weeks of going to Nadine (and not always 3x a week, at that! ) that my clothes were fitting so much better and I had the flattest stomach I had ever had. Nadine taught me that the scale really doesn't matter - somehow I had put on 3 pounds of muscle but my clothes fit better and were looser! She reallyExcels at body recomp.I can't recommend her enough -- I took a long hiatus from working out and begrudgingly came back after I noticed my jeans were tighter than before... and she welcomed me with open arms and If you put the work in, you really do see results quickly. Her workouts are intense and hard and sometimes it hurts to laugh after for the next few days because your abs are so sore -- but rather than just getting a fitness trainer you really do make a friend. She's more than helpful in meal planning, and I don't see our sessions so much as a painful workout anymore (it's really not that painful but I've always hated working out) but as a means to catch up with a friend while building some muscle. Nadine is awesome! I jsut recently started training with her and plan to continue for a while. After chatting with her for 5 minutes at my first session, it felt like she’s known me forever. She makes training fun and I look forward to each session. She will modify exercises based on your needs and skill level but also challenge you. She trains in a small group setting but the session is still tailored to your needs. It’s also been fun to get to know other people who train with her. I've been coming here and working out with Nadine for 3 months now! Sessions are in very small groups but you still get 100% of attention. She is funny and understanding, determined to help you, and knows what she is talking about. My fellow trainees are of all ages, sizes, and sexes which makes me feel comfortable in the environment. Nadine is a fun, personal and effective trainer. She makes you feel welcome every time you walk in the door. Nadine has been a blessing and worked with my crazy schedule and helped with my personal goals/additional triathlon training. I have faster times in races with the addition of strength training. If I smile too much, the workout is too easy and she kicks it up a notch! Haha - in a good way! Having Nadine as a trainer has kept me accountable and has helped me get back into my routine. She adapts your workout to how you are feeling but will push you and not take excuses. I have been training with Nadine for 6 months now and am blissfully happy with the results! I've quickly gone from 19% to 14% body fat since starting her program. She truly knows her stuff. At The Fitness Joint, Nadine takes every client she has into consideration. I cannot stress enough how much she cares about each one of us; which is something special in a trainer. I have been going to her for about 2 months, and have learned a lot of new exercises and workouts. She pushes me beyond my boundaries. I really enjoy coming here 2-3 times a week to train with Nadine. Her workouts are exercises that I have never done before, and I have been working out for a while, but it is great to have her there to push me and show me new things. Nadine is very upbeat! She was very encouraging through all of my sessions. I began to see results in the first month, my small arms already have bumps in them and my legs began to feel "harder" instead of just fat. The meal plan she gave me definitely helped me improve my bad eating habits as well. I personally found her workouts to be fun and manageable for a beginner, but they proved to be very effective. I'm tried to work out with Nadine for over a month now. I've seen results since the first week. Note that it is not easy to commit to a workout routine but if you want results you have to push yourself harder. Nadine is super sweet and wants to see her clients reach their goals and I have seen multiple. The people that work out with her are a fun crowd and loves to communicate with eachother to help support one another. I truly recommend trying it out cause the first session is free. You may not know it by looking at me, but Nadine has done something I didn't think was possible anymore - she's given me real, noticeable and sustainable results!  Over a year ago, I realized that my weight was only going up, and I was heading the way of the generation before me - sedentary and full of aches and pains. I wanted to do something about it.  For the first three months, I tried weight watchers and cardio at the gym. Same thing I've been trying for years.  It helped....a little. I lost 10 lbs.  Then a friend reminded me that she had been going to Nadine awhile. It's my kind of gym - not overly flashy and real people with real lives, not gym rats who need to be seen and have multiple hours a day to spend at the gym.  I'm now down 40 lbs. But, I look even better (and this bragging is only for Nadine's benefit, not mine)! I fit into clothes I wore at 20 lbs less than where I am now (and promptly threw out, bc trends have moved on :) ), which is proof that I've not only lost weight, but I'm much more toned and fit.  She helped me hang with some much more fit people on the Seven Summit Challenge in November.  I'm running faster than I've ever run in my life, even when I was a skinny teenager.  I'm about 65% into my goals, which given the amount of time I've spent traveling and working in the last 10 months, is no less than a miracle. Nadine does a combo of all sorts of lifting, TRX (and I'm sure others that experts would know, but I just do what I'm told) and cardio and has a great attitude that you cannot miss. Seriously, I'm the whiniest, laziest, mouthiest person ever, but I'm still showing up two times a week and she still smiles when I walk in.  If you're looking for a normal person who can help you achieve extraordinary things, you need to be here. You'll have a new friend in Nadine and then pretty soon new friends who are there every week, just like you. And, if you need further proof, no less than 7 people came up to me at one of my employer's out of town offices last week and asked me what I've done to look so much better. Coworkers. If you want the short of it - Nadine and Joe work hard to cater to their clients and make the environment fun... but they do not sacrifice quality of the program. I highly recommend them if you are looking to make a fitness transition in your life.The long of it: a few years back I had back surgery. I was told by the doc to lose weight and fast. I was nearing 300 pounds at one point and finally came to terms with needing help. I came across Nadine by luck and did my due diligence (she is certified and insurred... not just a jock with a dream). After my first workout I realized that this Zandt, caring group would be where I would go.Fast forward 15 months (I'll save the workout details for when you try it... lol). I lost 90 pounds, put on more muscle, my metabolism is in check. I'm eating healthier and living better than I was. I worked hard to get here... and while it took my own determination to get here, their help and motivation and guidance was worth it.While it is time for me to move on to maintenance mode for my fitness... I found this place on Craigslist and was so surprised how affordable the training here is. I've been putting in the work, following the diet and seeing the results. I still have a long way to go but I couldn't have kept it up without Nadine.Nadine is extremely motivating, a beast of a trainer, and she's now my very good friend. I'm one of those people who used to go to the gym, hop on the treadmill for 20-30 min, and then leave because I had no idea what I was doing. Don't get me wrong, I'm still pretty lost when I'm on my own, but finding Nadine and Joe was such a blessing. Not only are they professional and the real deal, but they make working out fun. Note: They kick your butt...but it's fun. Everyone at The Fitness Joint is super encouraging, we laugh, we work hard, we get to know each other, it's like working out with friends. I started at the fitness joint a year ago. I was looking for a trainer that would help me achieve my goals and not break the bank. I'm so glad I came here! I've seen results that I was looking for (and never saw working out on my own) and continue to see more. Nadine and Joe are not just trainers. They cheer you on. They help pick you up when you're having a bad day. They'll even grocery shop with you if you need help getting on track with eating better. I honestly cannot say enough good things about this place. I was referred to Nadine by a friend that had lost a good amount of weight and was excited about getting in shape!   She had been working out with Nadine and Joe.  From the first session I felt supported, encouraged and motivated to work hard.  Nadine is so good at what she does!!! Nadine is AWESOME. I have never been someone who has considered myself athletic or who put a lot of effort into working out. Recently (while getting ready for my wedding! ) I decided this needed to change.  I was pretty intimidated to go to a personal trainer, but Nadine put me at easy as soon as I met her. She is an excellent teacher, very encouraging and positive, but not afraid to push me harder than I would push myself. Not only have I seen positive results, but I actually enjoy working out now. Nadine is an excellent personal trainer. My wife and I started a couples workout routine in order to get fit for our wedding. Our results were awesome. What I have personally enjoyed is how I have expanded my work out habits. With her workouts every muscle group is pushed to its limit. To start, I've tried a number of different fitness regiments, worked with a couple different trainers, and have done my fair share of extreme dieting. It wasn't until I started working with Nadine that I FINALLY started seeing results, AND the best part is that I am seeing real results without starving myself! In just 8 weeks I was down 4 inches and 10 lbs. I've come a long way since starting with The Fitness Joint in November. I'm down over 30 lbs and feel amazing. Nadine has been able to help me get into fitness and make living a healthy fit lifestyle a priority. The weight loss has been awesome (as I'm getting ready for my wedding!) but seeing the fitness results (i.e better endurance and increased strength) has been one of the best parts of training. Nadine makes going to the gym 3 times a week fun (no two workouts are the same) and her excitement and passion for fitness is contagious. Nadine rocks!! I just completed my first week with her and I'm looking forward to the many weeks and months to come as she continues to push me to my limits so I can reach my fitness goals. She is encouraging and helps me to believe that I can really do it by praising my efforts, pointing out my strong points, and reminding me we are going to work on the weak points. My body is sore all over but I feel amazing!! Not only is she coaching me in the gym but has also provided me a guide to help get my eating on track so that I can experience maximum results from our efforts. My fiancé started training with Nadine 3 months before our wedding.  He convinced me to try a session and after the first session I signed up and have been going since, even though our wedding was four months ago! Her workouts always offer variety and are targeted towards your personal goal(s).  I have seen her train people at all levels, from near fitness models to people who have never been in a gym.  She always keeps the energy high and the workout motivating.  I never thought I would be one of 'those' people that goes to a trainer regularly, but after my experience with Nadine, I'm going three times a week!  With her affordable rates and the results I've seen in such a short time I can't see a reason to stop.  Give her a call or come check her out, whatever your goal is, she'll get you there. firstly I don't know why so many reviews are in the not recommended section, I personally know a couple of those people as I have worked out with them, or have made small talk while coming into my session as they were leaving theres, but I digress. I have been working out with Nadine since April 2014 and will continue to do so as long as I can, bc of the commitment and motivation I experience, and results I see in myself.I lost a lot with diligent calorie counting, but plateaud and then sought out a trainer and found Nadine online. I love working out with Nadine! She is positive and encouraging. She knows how to challenge her clients.  Her routines are always unique and fun. She incorporates many different types of exercises into each workout.   Another wonderful thing about working out with Nadine, is that she is sensitive to injuries. I have noticed, with myself and with others, that she adjusts workouts to fit the needs of each of her clients.  I am very happy with my results. I would HIGHLY recommend giving her a try.
