People are certainly welcome to their own opinions, but I have never (EVER) experienced rude or negative attitudes from any of the doctors or staff. I absolutely love Dr. Shirley! Once or twice I called after hours for something that was silly, and he called me back within a few minutes. Dr. Shirley is knowledgeable and patient, which I appreciate as a new parent. We are always seen on time (MUCH APPRECIATED WITH A BABY), and everyone is usually very helpful! We started seeing Dr. Shirley three years ago when our first daughter was born. His bedside manner is great, he's never rushed and takes the time to listen to all of your questions and answer them thoughtfully. He was always very patient when our daughter went through her phase of being apprehensive around strangers (especially men).We now have a second daughter who is seen by him as well, and she's had some minor persistent issues that have caused me to call the office fairly often over the past couple months to ask questions and get advice. I always have a very pleasant experience with the MAs and front desk staff when I call, and when I have to leave a message I receive a call back quickly.I see reviews that say the front desk staff are not friendly, but I've never experienced that. They aren't always "bubbly", but that doesn't equate to being unfriendly (in my opinion). In three years, I can't think of a time when I've felt like anyone in this office has been rude or treated us badly. They are always very quick, which I really appreciate as well. We've never spent more than a few minutes in the waiting room or the exam room while waiting to see the doctor. We love Family First Pediatrics and I recommend them to anyone I know who asks for a good pediatrician. More...

Dr. Reed has been caring for my son since he was 5 days old. He is now almost 5. I trust her absolutely. She cares and takes time to listen to parents concerns and does not make you feel like you're asking dumb questions. My son loves her he recently had a fall which resulted in getting dermabond on his forehead. When I told him Dr. Reeds instructions on caring for it he said he loved Dr. Reed and wanted her to be proud of him so he would do like she asked. Dr. Shirley is a wonderful Dr. I initially had my Son at Willowbrook Methodist and any appointments needed due to emergencies were always didmissed. Ever since I first set up my Son's first appointment, Family First Pediatrics, especially Dr. Shirley have always been quick to respond to our medical needs. I was so impressed with their service that I switched to them as my Son's PCP. I was pregnant with my Daughter and knew I wanted Dr. Shirley to be her Dr as well. Dr Shirley once he found out she'd been born, made the trip to the hospital the day she was born to check on her and do her physical! He could've had me visit them at their office, on the 3rd or 4th day after Her birth, like all other pediatricians, but again, instead, he came to us. This is an amazing office! Dr. Tad Shirley is excellent. Always takes time to listen. Same day appointments nearly always available. We absolutely LOVED the fact that this office does not have an answering service. Each of the doctors take the on call cell phone with them. If you call after hours, you leave a message. Within 10 min one of the doctors calls you back. No middle man. (Now I am sure there have been ridiculous after hours calls that may not have received the same call back and I would hope patients would not abuse this. What do you love most about your job?
I wear my job. Bodybuilding is "the only sport you wear". I use the principles and the science behind Bodybuilder training to my clients, because it works! I tune it down to a tailored program designed around your goals. Everything else is a gimmick, if it worked, you wouldn't be reading this.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I've done my research and homework on today's "Sickcare", yes "Sickcare" I provide Healthcare! I provide an education, not just counting to 20 reps. I'm not your everyday Personal Trainer, I read and provide comprehensive blood lab panels as an option, to see what's going on the inside. If you don't know what's going on the inside, you can't help the outside. Hormones, A1c, Insullin & Cortisol are the main blood panels I look for, they control your results!
