We had a wonderful dinner here a few months ago. Today I stopped in for a solo lunch. I ordered at the counter and took my glass of Prosecco and table number upstairs to a window table. The salmon Niçoise salad was simply delicious. The green beans had been delivered this morning and tasted fresh off the vine, ditto the cherry tomatoes. The dressing (served on the side) was light and flavorful. I brought home some of their chorizo. I'll be back! More...
Best BLT ever, with some great potato salad and Knee Deep Slo Mo IPA. We'll be back!
My mom and I randomly stopped by for lunch on our day trip to Placerville and absolutely loved our meals. My mom says her BLT was the best she has ever had and I really enjoyed the turkey pesto panini I had. Service was quick and the interior is quirky with an option of upstairs seating with great window views. We'll be back next time we're in town! More...
We got the Turkey Pesto Panini and the BLT. These were the best sandwiches my mom and I have had in a long, long time. We were very impressed with the restaurant and service and will be back again next time we are on our way to/from Tahoe.
Passing through on the way up to Pollock Pines. The food was excellent and the service fantastic, thanks Amanda (I believe that was who took our order today). If we are ever in the area again, this will be a place that we'd stop in for a meal. More...
Delicious food, relaxed environment. Salmon corn chowder was soooo delicious! A bit of a wait but worth it.
There was a new server, Lonna i believe, and she was great. Food, ambiance always A+
Our first time there and we'll definitely be back. The food was fresh and prepared so delicious, and service was just perfect. We were there for dinner so there was a good wine selection. Don't know why we waited so long to try it, but glad we did. More...
Fresh as it gets! My sister, mother and I stopped in this place (3 hard foodie critics), the plan was to go to another place nearby, but they were on reservation basis only, so we decided to try this place. I'm glad we did!Mom and I ordered the Farm table BLT - home made bacon, fixings on a warm ciabatta bun- It was so good!!! No regrets here. I did however order extra pickles on the side, must have with BLT!Sis ordered an empanada, wow!!!! It was one of the best I have ever tasted, made with their fresh pork green chorizo, it was a winner! I purchases some of their "green chorizo" made with poblano peppers, made it for breakfast the next day yum, something new to try! We will revisit The Farm Table to try some of their other dishes, it was worth the drive (60 miles). More...
We thoroughly enjoyed this meal. Our waitress was amazingly attentive and gave fantastic recommendations. The food was interesting and delicious. The atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing. More...
Very helpful in making wine and dinner selections. Lovely evening out with my grandson. Definitely will return because it was a delightful evening.
Great wine and food excellent service
Ran into this beauty on a last minute business trip had the Italian sandwich with their garden side salad!! I can still taste it. Amazing freshness and great flavor!! For sure will visit again:) More...
Very good-tasting and fresh-tasting food and a menu with some variety. Sauces were different and interesting.
Very good! We stopped by for a late lunch. It is a cute restaurant. Staff was friendly. I had the gluten free sausage sandwich and it tasted great! My husband and daughter both had the Italian sandwich. They loved it. Two thumbs up! More...
Very good service, food is beyond excellent, everyone was so courteous. The owner even greeted us and checked how our dinner was.
Everything was lovely except they did not have our reservation when we arrived and we had to wait for a table. The food was good. The service was good. And the atmosphere is very comfortable. If not for our unfortunate circumstance, we could have given our experience five stars. More...
After an enjoyable day in Tahoe we drove back to Placerville for the night. Reservations were made at The Farm Table, and the reviews about this location were spot on. Our waitstaff was typical Northern California Friendly, very warm and helpful in making recommendations. The Salad, Entrees, wine were all wonderful. Local wines make up a bulk of the wine list, and that allowed us to try some names we rarely see in the East Bay. Save room for creme brûlé - no twist on this traditional dish, simply executed to perfection. The apricot pie was also extremely good. More...
The salads were not very appetizing. The pork chops were delicious!
The best 2 sandwiches ever! Being our first visit, we didn't realize the size of the sandwhiches..no worries...great leftovers! We had the Big Easy and the Cuban Panini. Both were absolutely amazing. The Big Easy was loaded with ham, Turkey, salami, olive/artichoke tapenade, provolone cheese and spicy cajun remoulade...absolutely amazing...we loved it! Now, the Cubano...best we've had anywhere, period!!! This is a great place, wonderful setting and staff. They also make their own sausage. We got the lamb and mint and it was amazing...worth the 30 mile drive...we will retun. PS: cookies are to die for! More...
Quality food, unpretentious ambiance. Almost went with four stars due to the coarsely chopped cole slaw but I suppose somebody on earth might actually prefer it this way.
An excellent find! We came in from the Bay Area for a day of rafting with our teenaged kids. The food was fresh and creative, and the restaurant was homey and a pleasant place to be. The lamb shank and Mary’s chicken were both exceptional. One of the kids had the housemade sausage sandwich and he enjoyed it very much. We plan to stop here again. More...
Delicious food, great menu options, reasonable prices, excellent service.
Great little restaurant with a creative menu. Our server Lori was excellent. As others have mentioned the upstairs window seating is ideal and you have a view of Main Street.
I had the lamb shank and it was very good. I loved the ambiance, nice wine list and view of main street. I will definitely return to try other entrees.
Food is always fresh & local and the staff is amazing. I always recommend it to family and friends. Great location on the main street of historic Placerville!.
The food was fresh and extremely delicious! Will go back again!
Food was really terrific! Between us we had salads, soup, appetizer, rib eye steak, and the sea bass. The salads and soup were terrific. The cauliflower appetizer was good, though not warm or hot all the way through when it arrived, which diminished the overall quality. The sea bass was amazing (a huge portion) and there were good wines to pair with it. The rib eye was good (however, of the two orders one was was incorrectly cooked and had to be returned to the kitchen). More...
Simple good and fresh food. Friendly service and my favorite place to eat when I am in town.
Talk about amazing!! Not only is the staff here friendly and efficient.... the food is to die for! It's like French food fancy but American size portions. I ordered the mushroom toast starter and this is something four people could eat! The vegetables were cooked to perfection. Very good! Will come back again More...
Quaint place to grab a bite to eat in town. Delicious sandwich I enjoyed with a beer. Friendly staff.
Very good place to eat. Kinda pricey but it's great food. You get served a 3 meal course.
From start to finish the meal was delicious. Excellent flavors and fresh ingredients. Beautiful interior. We loved the window seat over looking charming Main Street. We will definitely be back.
Needed some On-the-road food to takeout and The Farm Table restaurant was on point and better than anything I've had driving back and forth from SF to Tahoe multiple times, 5 star customer service from Ryan, The empanada with homemade sausage is better than any empanada I've tasted in my whole life, The turkey pesto panini made me cry out PRAISE THE LORD - Wth Baby Jesus! it was so delicious and flavorful, try it with the side of roasted vegetables- I just died and reincarnated just to eat the other half. Then the strawberry shortcake was like a divine dessert that some angels made in Heaven and sent down to make me realize that life is good and a satisfied stomach is always one step closer to Nirvana. xoxo More...
If you are looking for top quality food this is your spot, excellent service and the building has so much history.. basically they treat you like family so go enjoy..
It was our first time at The Farm Table and sure won't be the last. Made reservations through Open Table and took my wife and Sister-in-law there for Sunday Brunch on Mothers Day and were immediately met by the smiling friendly hostess and seated at the Bar, were we made our reservations. We started with some mimosas that were a perfect with about 80% prosecco and 20% fresh squeezed OJ. It was a 3 Course Prix Fixe menu that day and our party started with Fresh Fruit and Berries as well as a perfectly dressed Blue Cheese and Walnut salad. The second course the two ladies had the Morel and wild mushroom Crepes with crispy roasted Potatoes and grilled asparagus. They both really enjoyed the earthy and super fresh flavors. I opted for the Duck Hash with two poached eggs which were cooked perfectly and loved every bite. The Duck pieces were crispy and flavorful and a perfect match to the rich and earthy flavors of the eggs and potatoes. We ended our meal with several mini fruit, Chocolate and Cream tartlets. Really delicious fresh food, superb and friendly service and couldn't recommend higher. More...
Great charcuterie and good atmosphere. Order at the counter and get served at your table. Informal good food.
The Farm Table is as always wonderful! The food, service, and wine are always without exception the best! My husband loves the Sausage Sandwich of the day....I'm a soup and salad girl! Kara never fails to deliver on both! If in Placerville...don't miss the Farm Table! More...
Great food, nice atmosphere, remarkably nice paper napkins. Seriously, we brought a couple home with us and everyone who uses them keeps commenting on how nice they are.On to the important stuff: my family tried the sausage sandwich and two of the soups. Everything was excellent. My parents were a little disappointed that bread doesn't come with the soup, but that isn't really a big deal to me *shrug*Sausage is made in house, so I recommend trying it if you get the chance! For lunch, you order and pay at the counter, and they bring the food to your table. 5 stars for a 5 star hometown experience!!! From reservations to the thank you on the way out the door. Food was delicious, sit upstairs if you can, it is a nice atmosphere, great and attentive staff.... We had the beef appetizers, flavored soda waters, soup calliflower and a green salad. We both had lamb shank, brownie and the shortcake. Out standing!!! Thankyou for a wonderful evening!!! More...
Fine but they incorrectly claim in was a no show
Simple good food prepared so well. The restaurant itself is charming in it's old building. The wait staff were very friendly and helpful with meal selection. The eggs were so fresh in our benedicts, amazing.Would highly recommend The Farm Table. Showed my boss today pictures of our meals and he asked how far away is Placerville from San Francisco. More...
Had family Easter brunch here and they did not disappoint. Delicious food, cute ambiance, and friendly staff.
We had a dinner reservation at 6 p.m. We were seated upstairs at a lovely window table. Very good wine list and the dinner was absolutely excellent. The mushroom toast appetizer was our favorite and the rib eye steaks were perfectly cooked. The Creme Brulee rounded out the meal and was superb! Excellent, attentive staff! We will definitely be back! More...
If I could give 10stars I would. Less talk, more action. Just Go and you'll see
Good food and excellent service.
Went a couple of weeks ago and it was one of our best meals ever. The staff was attentive, helpful and even complied with my request for a red rose on the table from a local florist (fee). The atmosphere has a wonderful old time feel. But huge kudos to the chef. The empanada was flaky and well filled. The pozole soup had large chunks of meat and was not overly spicy. My fish was crispy but not overcooked and not oily in the least. 5 star all the way! More...
Great meal. Turn around from the kitchen was a bit slow, but we were in no rush (only one waitress for the whole dining room on a Sunday night). Food was great. Mushroom toast was really tasty. I would have preferred some bread or something with some butter or balsamic vinegar & olive oil, something to bide the time between ordering and courses. More...
Always an excellent experience all around...food, service, ambiance 5 star
I came in dangerously hungry and bewildered after trekking out from nevada city. The waiter/server that greeted us with warmth and gifted me the comfort of knowing that food was a mere few short minutes away. We sat for a couple minutes and were served up a delicious veggie sandwich, out of this world celery soup and although a small serving ( 4, albeit large) asparagus, it was perhaps the best asparagus that over ever tasted. 5 stars More...
The food was really good. Nice atmosphere too. Have heard great things about this place and it definitely lived up to the hype. Our group had a beef carpaccio on special (wowzers), the pork belly confit (amazing), the mushroom toast, Cuban sandwich, and the turkey panini. The quality of food was so good and so fresh. Asparagus was perfect! Can't wait to come back here. More...
Great atmosphere and delicious food. All staff was helpful and very polite. We will be coming back for sure.
As we were searching for a place to have lunch on main street the name of this restaurant quickly caught our eyes. As far as we are concerned, this is the best name for a restaurant that you can come up with because it sounds very inviting.I loved the gold country décor. The food was great. We ordered soup ( chicken noodle) salad of the day. My husband ordered roast beef sandwich. You can choose to sit downstairs or upstairs. We wanted to sit upstairs where we could get a great view on main street. More...
Beautiful, local place with a wonderful menu for seasonal food.
My friend took me to lunch last week here. We ordered a couple of beers and sat in the front booth so we could people watch. The girl at the counter took our order at the bar and had us pay which was different but I like different ways of doing things! Lol I ordered the turkey panini and it came out so yummy! My friend in joyed his meal too. I liked the atmosphere here, it was pretty empty in there tho so not sure what the dinner vibe is like. More...
My wife and I went to visit Sutter's Mill and had dinner here after. The food was great and the view of the street from the upstairs tables was really cool. I had the ribeye and my wife had the raviolo. I also had the pork soup and creme brûlée. Everything was really good! Walk around Placerville after if you haven't been before, lots of cool stores. Although a lot of them close around 6, so do so before dinner if possible. More...

Friday night 5:15 reservations: not busy The deviled eggs (4) ways was ExcellentThe creamy mushroom toast WAS EXCELLENT. The wines were good but white wine served in stemless glass, no no. Holding glass warms up the wine. My green pea salad with buttard was ok... not the best, a little too soggy. My husbands ribeye steak was excellent. He also enjoyed the beer.Waitress was good! Waiter/server forgot to serve my hubbies beer and mid meal we had to remind them. Overall, I will come back as i really like the flavors. I like the fresh soups and my husband likes the menu which changes by seasons (each quarter).TIP: Add the source of the organic farms/ suppliers of the menu. In Ireland the restaurants adds this to their menu so the patrons knows who/what/where/how the food was grown, raised, provided. Very important info!!! We wNt to know More...
We recently had dinner at this restaurant. The service was EXCELLENT! we did not make reservation so by the time we went the restaurant, all tables were taken but they tried hard to get us seats. The waitress was amazing. She was very friendly and explained some dishes to us. The food was delicious. My husband and I both had fish dish. We really enjoyed our dinner. We will be back when next time we are in town. More...
The Farm Table was an excellent choice for our dinner with four friends. We sat right in the front window and enjoyed an excellent meal. Yum on the lamb shanks! The owner came over after dinner to talk with us and see how we enjoyed the meal. It was interesting to hear his philosophy on his restaurant and food preparation. Now let's have everyone look for a deal on a liquor license for the establishment! (wine and beer are already served.) More...
Excellent food and service with impeccable wines.
Great meal and service! We will definitely return soon.
The decor is simple but nice. The food was very good and the service was excellent. I especially liked the Empanada and the Lamb Shank. The steak was very good but I found the sauce/butter a little salty for my taste. The prices were what I would expect for the quality. Overall I would recommend this restaurant if you are in the area. More...
Great place and great food.
Great night out with the family. AS ALWAYS, Great Food and a Great Time! Really enjoy the new layout downstairs. Will be back soon.
Atmosphere and food and service were commendable. It was a little more than I would normally expect to pay, however.
Great food. Busy time so a little slow, but no worries. $22 for a small bowl of pasta? It was tasty though.
This is not fancy but the food is great. Everything is fresh and the people are very friendly. We love sitting upstairs and watching main street. We have found the roast beef sandwich with a salad is plenty to split for two for lunch. We plan to try their dinner soon. Also, don't forget to take some sausage home for breakfast. More...
Always a 5 star experience at The Farm Table in regards to food, ambiance, service
This was our first time to enjoy Farm to Table. The food is excellent. The staff and service were awesome on such a busy night. Very well done. Enjoy.
First visit, Valentines Day dinner. We started with the chef's meat & cheese platter which was really good (and generously portioned), followed by the duck confit cassoulet and rabbit pot pie which we shared family style. Also both excellent. My wife is an unabashed foodie and rated the meal as the best she's had for years. Servers were warm, friendly and on their game. Great restaurant for special dinners. Now I'm looking for an excuse to go there at lunchtime so I can try the cuban panini... More...
Really nice little place that I have overlooked. The food was not great, with the exception of the appetizer, and very expensive. The menu was limited but had a decent range of items. The service was decent and friendly enough. I did get mushrooms on my dinner which were not included in the menu description and I would have requested to have left off. Overall there is quite a lot of room for improvement but the style and atmosphere make The Farm Table an enjoyable visit. More...
My girlfriend and I went here to try it out. They have a good selection of beers. I went with one of the IPA's She went with the garden salad yes she's a basic eater. I went with the Cuban and greens. Also I had a side of the pickled things. I can't complain I was loving the Cuban and the pickled things were amazing. The service was 5 stars in its own. More...
Every time we eat here it is special. Their menu is unique and tasty
We had a wonderful time. Our serve was knowledgeable and prompt and kind. The food was phenomenal.
This Restaurant is AMAZING!!! We stopped on our way to Tahoe. Super fresh, super tasty . Best meal in a while ! This is a must before heading up the mountain!
Our first time here. Fork in the road brought us here. Kindly greeted and seated where we requested. We solicited and accepted the suggestions of our server. Entree, beverages, dessert... Could not have been more satisfied. Highly recommend. More...
This is the second time we've eaten at Farm Table. The first was a year ago for lunch and tonight we had dinner. We don't remember much from our lunch experience. The dinner was underwhelming. Pros: drink selection (all natural soda offerings), good kids menu with basic kids selections but those selections are raised to another level , good quality ingredients, kind staff.Cons: my duck confit cassoulet was well seasoned but the duck was dry and some of the beans were not fully cooked. My husband's rabbit pot pie only had crust on the top, there was hardly any rabbit in the pie, hardly any veggies, and the filling was soupy, not thick. Disappointing for the price. To be fair we did not share our concerns with the staff as we were in a hurry and things were not so dire that we felt we needed to discuss the issue. We will probably try it again in the future. More...
The empanadas, mushrooms and stuff pork was awesome. The service was great. Waited a bit for our food.
Thanks to all of the other Yelpers we decided to try this restaurant while driving back from Tahoe and it did not disappoint! The service was top notch. The staff were very understanding with food allergies and were able to recommend great dishes to meet those needs. The chef even brought the plate out himself to let us know about the extra care he took to prevent any cross contamination. He also had a food allergy and was very understanding. I had the chicken Waldorf salad and it was amazingly delicious! The bread and butter were yummy, and the butter was sprinkled with sea salt that gave it a little extra taste. I will definitely return here and would recommend anyone to eat here. There are also a few 2 person tables on the second floor that overlooks the street which makes for fun people watching during daylight. I was told in the evening that people reserve those tables so you might want to call ahead if dining during the dinner time to reserve one. More...
We came here for my mom’s birthday and everything was amazing! Everything is local and seasonal, and executed beautifully. It makes me think of a classy restaurant somewhere in the French countryside. PS The paninis are not to be underestimated! The prices are expected with the quality, but you won’t be disappointed!! Great service, delicious dinner and amazing value! The ambiance is charming. We will be back soon!

1/6/2019: WAAAAAAH~My brother, Albert called me out of the blue stating he was driving in from SF Bay Area wanting to take me out to lunch . . . Awesomely SCHWEET! Truthfully, my brother wanted taking me out to Mel's Diner . . . Turning my nose up thinking, envisioning: "GMO greasy food-MEH~ . . . " Assuredly, eating at Mel's wasn't going cut it for me after being so seriously ill with walking pneumonia muttering under my breath, frowning: "NYET, anni-yo, grabbe-diri, non, never-NOT!" Looking at my brother: "Uhm~I'd like suggesting eating at John's Grill instead . . ." BUT . . . On the way to John's Grill-I yelled, "Albert! Stop-Park here and let's eat at Farm Table instead of eating at John's Grill, okay?" Yup~Albert smirked quipping, "Ahhh~Cool!" He found a parking space directly across the street from Farm Table-totally cool, indeed. We walk into Farm Table and Albert's first sentence out of his mouth, "Wow~This is a VERY nice restaurant (Albert's eyes lit up brightly)! Uh, sadly, Shirley~I can't drink because I'm driving." I assured Albert, "No worries, Albert-We'll just drink coffee and H2O."We walked towards the counter looking at the chalkboard where the special menu listed today was . . . THE top on the special menu list was the linguiça which we were informed by Farm Table's owner, Steve: "The linguiça was freshly made this morning and we store what we make in the freezer . . ."FYI: The linguiça comprises as a form of smoke-cured, pork sausage seasoned with garlic and paprika well-renown in Portuguese-speaking countries AND also, our favorite sausage both Albert and I love inhaling. Both of us were slowly savoring every single bite of the linguiça and when Steve stated he sells the linguiça, Albert eyes lit up stating, "I don't have my cooler with me now but, Steve-I'll buy some linguiça when I return to Placerville!"Also, Steve brought over some organic, freshly pickled vegetables and the female waitstaff brought over some petite pickles: The pickled vegetables tasted reminiscent to the non-spicy, no red pepper paste Kimchee. The flavor was hauntingly delicious!Steve struck up a conversation with Albert and me while serving us more coffee; we exchanged ideas regarding food, holding wedding events at Farm Table, and also, contributing involvement with the Wine Tours for El Dorado County. Therefore, ONE word comprises Farm Table's quality and cool vibes, "AWESOME!" More...
Amazing! We had everything at our table from carnivores to picky eaters to vegans. We each found something delicious to eat. I had the pear apple salad with and egg, we also tried the house favorite pretzel sausage sandwich and the pumpkin panini with mushroom parsley salad. Everything was amazing. And so fresh! Definitely what we needed after driving in the blizzard. Thank you More...
We stopped here for an early dinner last night on the way back from Tahoe. Based on the reviews we were hopeful it would be good but it far exceeded our expectations! Fantastic! We have vegetarians and non vegetarians in our family and both walked away thrilled with their dinners. Favorites included squash stuffed with farro, flat bread with roasted vegetables and goat cheese, and the rabbit pot pie was one of the best things I've ever eaten. We also enjoyed the attentive , friendly service, from the staff and owner, and the cozy casual atmosphere. We are from San Francisco and enjoy a lot of high quality dining in relaxed settings...this place easily was of that quality. More...
If your in the mood for a sandwich then this is a good option. I'd call it the Farm table sandwich shop since most of the menu offer just sandwiches. It was clean and the staff was friendly. More...
Excellent variety of local food! A regular dinner option and our first choice in the Placerville area!
This restaurant was exceptional in that it had great vegetarian food and great meat dishes. I am a vegetarian and my husband is not, so we usually do not agree on our favorite restaurants. The service was a little scattered, and the tables were a bit close together, but otherwise our experience was exceptional. More...
Amazing menu- delicious entrees and super conscientious servers guaranteeing an amazing dining experience. New years eve and still top quality and service. Our favorite fine dining in Placerville More...
This restaurant is spectacular. From meeting Steve at the door and conversing with him on our way up to our table, to our wonderful server, to the delicious food - this is not a place to be missed. If they have the roasted beet soup on the day you dine, you MUST have it. Absolutely delicious. Thank you to the entire team! More...
I had lunch at the Farm Table. I thought it was very good, although not enough food. One order is not enough for someone with a small to average appetite. I wish they would modify the menu and offer "small bites" as well as "full or heartier meals." I don't mind paying more so I don't have to leave a restaurant hungry. More...
We had a wonderful dinner here. We were on the road and called late for reservations. They were very busy that evening but fit us in. Service was friendly and efficient. We started with the cider-glazed pork confit, which is plated with sweet-and-sour red cabbage and roasted apple. The pork belly melts in your mouth, but at the same time the skin has a delightful crunch. For my entree I chose the stuffed pork chop, which came with maple-glazed carrots and mac and cheese. Hubby had the rabbit pot pie and a side of potato salad (one of his faves).Everything was good, but hubby absolutely loved the pork belly. The standouts for me were the mac and cheese and the sticky toffee pudding dessert. We both agreed that the mac and cheese was probably the best we've ever had. The sticky toffee pudding was superb. It was topped with caramel sauce and vanilla ice cream, and the three components went together perfectly. That dessert alone will make me come back! More...
The turkey pumpkin panini is soooooooo good. I would definitely come again. Great atmosphere, great people.
Food is so good and fresh every single time. Menu is always changing throughout the year. Great and cozy atmosphere. Ryan is very friendly and helpful and we enjoy his help when we come in!
Love the Farm Table, fresh local food done creatively.
Their food is excellent using local sources when possible. The pork belly starter and rabbit pot pie were highlights. Placerville is a tough restaurant market where diners think $20 is a high price. I'm happy Farm Table is able to survive and give them business when possible. More...
We eat here frequently, often bringing our house guests since we like the restaurant so much. This time while the food was good, the service was off. Failed to bring the ordered mushroom toast for the first course. Failed to bring the two glasses of wine until reminded. Failed to omit the lentils and replace with salad greens for one entree. Felt rushed at the end by the server clearing the table and bringing dessert menus. They did try to compensate by comping the dessert. This was unusual, we never have had problems like this in the past. We did get to meet the new owner Steve so that was nice. The charcuterie was excellent. The pork chop was dry. The risotto was excellent. We usually like the mushroom toast but as stated above, we never got to eat it this time! More...
Everybody was awesome !
Birthday dinner. Everything was great.
Nice staff, cute little place. This place will leave you happy. Food was exactly what we were looking for: tastes good because of the use of great ingredients. We got sandwiches (adults and kids), the cheese that they use is so good that even the kids sandwiches had to be finished somehow :)It's not cheap but if it was any cheaper it would probably get way too busy. More...
Over the top great!! Quality of good duper, great service. Will go back again!!!
Out first time here and we really enjoyed the food. Their sausage sandwich was probably the best I've ever had. Only reason for 4 vs 5 stars is the need for self service for water.
Absolutely awesome as usual!! My favorite is the upstairs window seat overlooking Main Street Placerville.
Stopped in to get a quick sandwich for the road. They make the best roast beef sandwich ever. Tender beef, savory fried onions and garlic mayo, with sauteed mushrooms and melted cheese served on a pannini toasted ciabotta bread. I'll be back to sample more of their menu whenever I'm in town. Looks like they get busy, and could use extra staff, but they're the real deal. More...
Quality ingredients prepared with care and attention to detail. Excellent service and upscale yet casual atmosphere.
We really love the fact the owner sources local ingredients when possible and creates seasonal menus around what’s available. The service and food was a little slow but we came here wanting an experience and a date so we liked the extra time. The wait staff was very friendly and the owner checked in a couple of times to ensure our food met our standards. There are also onsite sauces, meats, and pickled veggies you can buy to go. Very neat spot and we will gladly come here for many future dates as we hate nothing more than to pay for subpar food with subpar ingredients. More...
Love the food and the thought behind it. Creative, innovative and great example of farm to fork.
Great place to meet friends for Sunday brunch. Make sure you make reservations if you don't want wait.
Few words are necessary to grasp how good the food is here! Organic eggs! French style rolled omelet oh my that was delicious. Who gets the idea to crush down ciabatta bread in a panini press to glorious crispy scrumptious flats? These folks! Butternut squash, caramelised onion and spinach and cheese was a clever and tasty combination for a veggie omelet. Not a big spud eater but the seasoned hash browns with the house made ketchup really worked. Sunday brunch folks we'll be bringing our whole Hangtown crew in for it next year! More...
We went with our musician friends who were playing the festival and we had an excellent meal and enjoyed the time we spent there. Thank you.
Enjoyed The Farm Table, we had a table in the entrance and there was a lot of people coming and going. The rabbit stew was excellent! The chicken had a nice sauce but a bit on the dry side. The pumpkin bread dessert was wonderful. Next time I will request a table upstairs, and yes we had reservations a week in advance,. More...
SO GOOD! One of the more current and cozy places to eat in historic Placerville. Farm to Table menu with homemade items to choose from. You order at the front counter and then find a seat. Plenty of options upstairs and downstairs. They make their own meats and other items as well. Wine & beer is available. Self serve water & tea. Homemade desserts. GLUTEN FREE OPTIONS!! The main reason we came here is they can make any sandwich into a gluten free wrap and it was super great, not cheap quality GF. For lunch our bill was around $85 for 3 people- the wine is a little pricey. More...
Open Table somehow messed up my reservation. It was confirmed for 10/20/18 at 6:15PM. The restaurant had no record of my reservation so I showed the confirmation on my phone to the host and he found a table for us...very nice!! Also, Open Table sent me an email PRIOR to my reservation time saying "Thanks for dining at Farm Table. We hope you enjoyed your meal" or some such wording. Very odd but it all worked out and the food was delish. More...
The staff was all very friendly and welcoming, the food was great and the ambiance was fun. We'll definitely go back if we're ever in the area.
I have been here a couple of times. I love the atmosphere especially the tables by the windows upstairs. The food is delicious and I love the teas.
Excellent food and service, good location overlooking Main St in Placerville. Only issue that wasn't great is maybe the AC was a bit strong for an evening that was not hot, but pleasantly warm outside.
This place was cool. I got the charcuterie board and it was soooo great!!! The only thing I warn you to be cautious of is the horseradish I thought it was mustard and took a bunch and it burnt my tongue! But it was still really great. My mom LOVED her plate and that's hers in the second picture. She didn't love how we kept having to ask for water constantly. We don't drink and weren't feeling anything besides water but it was kind of annoying that we kept having to wait to get our water and eat without any water for a while. I got the Mary's chicken with ratatouille and tbh it wasn't that great? I didn't even get the breast (which is my favorite part of the chicken) and that was kind of disappointing and I guess I had another thing in mind of what I wanted the ratatouille to look and taste like and it didn't give me that...but that's my expectations lol also it looked more like Remy's (Disney cook-also a rat lmao) brothers (the fat rat in ratatouille) slops of ratatouille instead of remy's ratatouille :/ More...
The entrees were delicious. Salmon and duck confit were bursting with flavor and served with sides that nicely complimented the main dish. We were seated on the second floor overlooking main-street, making for a fun view of passers-by. Service was good. Only disappointment was the dessert - we ordered the s'mores, loving the idea of a home-made graham cracker taco. Idea: brilliant, execution: not great. The wafer had no crunch and it seemed they used chocolate syrup instead of a chocolate bar, making the entire thing feel soggy. Don't let dessert turn you away though; they have other options on the dessert menu that I'm sure are delicious. Highly recommend this restaurant! More...
Seating by the window was uncomfortable - too tight. We brought our own wine - $15 corkage was reasonable - but the first server did ot know how to open a corked bottle! Training is needed. That said the food , atmosphere and most of the service was good. More...
Walked in for lunch with my friend this Wednesday. Simple interior design, easy concept, order at the counter, they bring to you. Menu changes monthly I believe. I ordered the soup of the day, tomato and basil bisque....DELISH! Also had the kids size grilled cheese, perfect small size to accompany bowl of soup. Added the side salad of cabbage chai and pumpkin seed slaw tossed in vinegarette. The meal was filling and ohhhh sooo good! Definitely will come back! Thank you for a simply wonderful tasting meal More...
We had an amazing meal and a great time! Ally was our server and she was tons of fun!!! Very personable and relaxed. I would definitely recommend Farm Table. Can’t say enough good things about this place. More...
Went here for the first time for my brothers birthday. Everything we had was excellent. Flatbread appetizer amazing. Can’t wait to go back and try breakfast
Food is great and and place is homey. Nice remodel. My wife loves this place. So I'm forced to come. She loves the bacon. Get it.
Stopped at this spot on our way back to Davis after at weekend in Tahoe and really enjoyed it! I was looking for a good cheeseboard as I figured that Placerville must have some scrumptious spots. I was definitely not disappointed! The Farm Table is located in a super cute spot in downtown Placerville. When we went in we were asked if we had a reservation (we didn't) and chose to sit down at the bar. There we had super fast service. The cheeseboard was HUGE and not very expensive. I was a little hesitant at all of duck (duck pastrami, duck pate), but was super pleasantly surprised once I tasted it. The serving was HUGE (it was all we got and my boyfriend and I couldn't finish it together) and so yummy. Definitely worth a visit! More...
This was a neat find! It was pretty low key for a Saturday night. But we really enjoyed the music! It was a local artist who plays the last Saturday of every month. Great acoustics! Food was delicious, we just did a salad and panini. Service was outstanding. Great dinner date night. More...
I've been here a number of times and have always been impressed with the service and quality of food. The service is attentive and friendly, while the food is delicious. I will continue bringing friends here when they visit from out of town! More...
Amazing food! I have eaten lunch here and love everything I've ordered. Tonight My dinner was Flat Iron Steak and Shrimp Mixed Grill. It was delicious! They have a great wine list too. Everyone is very friendly and the new decor is fabulous. A very comfortable and inviting place to dine, anytime of the day. More...
As usual the food was awesome!! I just love the Window seat looking down on Main Street.
Loved the brunch Will be returning. Would like to try lunch or dinner next time. Main server was fine, but the helpers could be a bit more attentive.
11:35 a.m. Steve, the owner and front of house host, seated me right away at window table upstairs for a noon reservation. I asked about specials; Steve said they were sold out of sausage biscuits and gravy. Sunday brunch menu or lunch menu on back of menu available. Ordered BLT, as I was told it was fabulous. Had to flag down Steve when he was replacing bus bin and after two servers delivered food to two other tables near me and did not even nod my way. Steve came and took my order. BLT yellow heirloom tomatoes spring greens mayo served as n grilled panini. Needed more bacon but bread was delicious. At end of meal, I heard another waiter offer the biscuits and gravy. Oh, well, perhaps the chef made more. Overall great value and with Steve’s service how could anyone not enjoy themselves. The other servers missed out on a big tip and good review. More...
This is my new favorite restaurant. All the ingredients were fresher, local farm food. Vegetarian and even vegan options. House made bacons/hams/sausages for the rest of us. Cozy little place with a great menu. More...
We used The Farm Table's catering services for a party in the nearby wine country (at Sentivo - wonderful winery in Somerset) and were very pleased. I had some special requests (vegan options, whole grain breads, & birthday cake), and Kara was very accommodating. Steve, the owner, delivered the food to our venue. It was beautifully arranged and delicious, beyond our expectations. Also appreciated those bio-degradable plates made of palm leaves- very sturdy and added a nice elegant touch. More...
The food, service and atmosphere are all superb. Ordering was easy (at the front when you come in), the cashier answered all our questions and went the extra mile to get them answered, my Cuban sandwich was divine and the creme brulee was even better. We purchased a package of frozen sausages that were simply delightful beyond description. Highly recommended! More...
This is hands down the best restaurant in Placerville. You get quality food, for decent prices, in an historic building with a view of downtown :) Some of the nicest staff you'll ever meet too!Sadly, we ate all our food so quickly I didn't get to capture it. So far, I have eaten the Turkey Pesto Panini (awesome), the BLT (so good), the Italian (the best!) and I had my first dinner last night and ordered the Duck Confit, which comes with mashed potatoes and green beans. I had Duck Confit once before, this one definitely takes the cake!If you don't go here, you're gonna miss out! More...
While driving back down to the bay, we stumbled upon this cute place in Placerville. We went here for salads, and we both enjoyed the caprese (with marinated shrimp) and the farm table cobb salad. I loved my caprese (amazing tomatoes) and the tasty shrimp I added. Also, the decor, vibe, and staff were very welcoming and upbeat. I will definitely return here again, and I look forward to trying other menu items! More...
Stopped in for Sunday Brunch. Glad I had made a reservation on Open Table, although there seemed to be plenty of seating at noon. Food was very good - had the Californian omelette and traditional Eggs Benedict. Wanted the French toast, but they were out of it! So, I'm assuming it's pretty darned yummy, too. Felt the coffee could have been a bit more robust - but I like my coffee strong. Service was also a bit spotty - although everyone was super nice. We'll go back! Really want to give it a try for dinner. More...
We eat here regularly and enjoy the seasonal changes in the menu. It was a new menu with summer seasonal choices. We enjoyed caprese and Cobb salads as well as a chipotle pasta with shrimp dish. All were delicious!Great service by Christopher! Lovely evening. More...
One of the best dining experiences I’ve had in El Dorado County.
Excellent eating establishment located on Placervilles Main Street. Traveling with dogs can be somewhat of a hassle especially at places that don't have outside seating. We had such a great experience with our dogs here. They brought the pups water and were really friendly about them being out front. The food was great, and it came out rather quickly. Thanks everyone. Cheers. More...
Incredible cafe with amazing food. Everything is housemade, from the sauces, breads to the sausages and country pate. Casual place. During lunch you order at the counter. I can't wait to return. More...
This place is adorable. Super cute decor but classy and upscale and comfortable. Beautiful little downtown street view, we sat upstairs by the window coffee was decent, the staff was wonderful, checking on us a lot and very hospitable. I had the Californian omelette. It was delicious! We also split the lemon ricotta pancakes which were fantastic! highly recommend this place More...
Fabulous remodel and the food was amazing! They took my favorite off the menu (oso Buco) but they had an AMAZING duck that totally made up for it! Amazing. Plus the flatbread and duck fat popcorn were amazing. More...
We were visiting from so-cal and daughters are vegan - gluten free allergy. Great ambiance, unique menu options. Waitress was very conscious of food allergies, however not as many vegan/Gluten free options. Higher end, but excellent quality.
I had the duck confit and it was fabulous! The owner was there that night. He greeted us personally and chatted with us a while. Exceptional value on wines; mark up is way lowere than usual. More...

Stumbled upon this place so glad we did.Atmosphere is Beautifully decorated. You order at the counter and they will deliver the food to your table. We chose upstairs dining so glad we did. Gorgeous! We ordered Cuban Paninni & Turkey Pest Pannini. Came on freshly baked Chabata Bread the Best I've ever had.The owner came by introduced himself asked how we liked their food. We had a brunch for our extended family. The entire experience with Farm to Table was great. The food was excellent! Thanks for your hard work and the delicious food! Steve Olson
Probably one of the best breakfast experiences I've had a quite some time. We were leaving Lake Tahoe and stopped in Placerville for breakfast and we decided to come to this place and from the moment we walked in the door the experience was exceptional! From the warm greeting to the quick wait to the amazing coffee fantastic service and the owners and came to our table and talked with us and told us about his restaurant. Everything is clean and beautiful! We will be back here again every time we come to Placerville! Btw we had the Avocado Toast and the Blackburn's Benedict - fantastic!! More...
The first visit was superb about 6 weeks ago. They lost a star this time though because we very patiently waited 50 minutes for our food. The waiter did bring us some toast to 'tide' us over. Clearly unacceptable wait time but the wait was worth every minute. Wife doesn't eat bread or potatoes any more so she tolerated the inconvenience. Her order substituted fruit instead of potatoes for which we were charged extra. Not until the check came did we find out the reason for the long wait. One chef called in and chose not to come to work. They called in the evening chef to help out but way late. I think they could have cautioned the customers and indicated that they had a problem. We will return but we will make a reservation and inquire as to the staffing issues. More...
The food is always outstanding. The service is improving . The new decor is very nice. Now it feels more like a restaurant than a a deli shop. The owners are always very nice coming around and talking to the customers. Every time we come here we have a great meal. More...
The food was absolutely amazing. So fresh and just beyond delicious. Their house made red wine jam and butter were to die for. Excellent brunch, quality ingredients. Wonderful homemade breads and great sausages and bacon all made by them.
Birthday dinner - worked out great
It was my husband’s birthday and we had a lovely time. The food was exceptional and fresh. We all enjoyed our meals and the owners were very appreciative of our business. The service pace could have been stepped up a bit. Overall you must visit this restaurant in downtown Placerville and meet the owners More...
The remodel was very nice. The pork chop with the apricot sauce was amazing. dinner was served well and the music, while certainly audible, was not so loud that we could not talk.the whole experience was enjoyable.
Great food and service
Always enjoyable and the food is fabulous!! I go there often with different friends and family and they love the food too. My favorite place to sit is upstairs at the window with a view of Main Street. More...
Good food, good wine, good time! We are relatively new to the area and The Farm Table is quickly becoming our "go to dining option!"
Tonight we tried this restaurant because of a write up I read a couple days ago. We made reservations for 2 and when we arrived we were taken upstairs by Lynnette for a great table overlooking Main Street. It was great! We ordered Empanadas. Oh my gosh they were delicious! Flavored perfectly inside an amazing flaky crust! I could have this with a salad and be totally content! We then ordered Osso bucco (...?) and salmon over homemade pasta (minus the squid ink). My husband loved his osso buco! And my salmon & pasta was perfection! We enjoyed dinner so much there was no room for desert, which was sad because they looked beautiful! We look forward to coming back to try out the summer menu! Thank you for a lovely evening of delicious food!!! More...
As someone who relies too much on Lean Cuisine, I come here occasionally to be reminded what real food really tastes like. It's definitely a splurge - prices are steep - but the quality of the ingredients, and the care taken in the preparation, are a good reminder of how precious locally sourced food is, and how worthy it is to support it.The proof is in the tasting: dishes are complex and layered with flavor. I'm a fan. More...
Wonderful Placerville restaurant with fresh, local food made by real people.
Ummm amazing!!! Fresh excellent! Sausage sandwich on point. Italian Panini wonderful. Soups delicious...new favorite!
Absolutely my favorite restaurant in Placerville. Super grateful for places like this that support locally sourced food, would like to see more of it. I'm a bit of a regular here and my favorites are the mushroom toast, BLT and bacon pancakes. More...
Awesome. Great service. Great food. Amazing flavors. They also have a club for locals to get tasty food.
The Farm Table has an authentic, well done menu with fresh organic ingredients and amazing taste and presentation. Recommend to anybody locally or visiting LK Tahoe, Placerville areas!
I had a wonderful osso bucco dinner, my wife had a tasty trout salad. Nice presentation, good sized portion, friendly staff. We will definitely be eating here again! More...
Terrific venue with a marvelous (small) menu. Nice wine selection. Happy staff.
I took my mom here for Mother’s Day brunch and it was delicious! They obviously know how to treat herbs and seasonings!! It was a lovely time with great service and we had the perfect seat upstairs by the window. The only teeny, tiny problem was that it was upstairs. Unless there is room for you downstairs, don’t expect those with a harder time walking to make the climb. I’ll be back for sure though! More...
Mother’s Day Brunch was wonderful, will come again for the regular menu.
The farm table is amazing! We love their food and location.
Mother’s Day brunch was great! Staff were very friendly and the place was just right. Not too small and not too big.
Love the food, and will go back, for sure. A little on the expensive side, but worth it for Mother's day. Our waitress was really nice, although seemed a little rushed sometimes. But, understandable. Loved that the owner came around and said hello. More...
They food here is absolutely amazing! It has been a long time since I looked forward to eating a sandwich.... The staff is friendly, dinner is incredible, and we can't wait to try the brunch.
Excellent brunch. Food attractive, tasty and good quality. Portions are very generous, providing opportunity for take home for 2nd meal. Definitely do not feel rushed and staff and owner ensure you are satisfied. Will definitely return!Picture is of S’mores from dessert menu. More...
We were able to make reservation on line and received confirmation and then a reminder. They had selected a table for 4 in a small area next to the window. Great view of Main Street activities. Our server was excellent and made sure special requests were met. All of our selections were prepared perfectly and portions quite large. The desserts were quite inventive and delicious. Enjoyed meeting the owner, who spent time explaining where the ingredients were obtained, their freshness and quality. Looking forward to returning for another fabulous meal. More...
Wonderful food. Always gracious hosts and attentive service. Local residents and frequently eat here. Never disappoints.
We have never been disappointed! Now they serve a wonderful Sunday brunch that we stumbled upon. I ordered the lemon ricotta pancakes and my husband ordered the duck hash with biscuits and gravy on our waiters recommendation. The food arrived in a timely matter and was delicious! The staff was friendly and kept our coffee cups full.Definitely a great favorite. More...
Second time eating here and we really enjoyed the food. It was spring so Charity had the farro risotto with fava beans and peas, Tom the pork osso bucco and I the lamb stew. For starters we shared the pork belly confit, deviled eggs and mushroom toast. The mushroom toast remains my favorite starter. The lamb stew was in a thick brown gravy which I was initially skeptical about but it was seasoned very well and was delicious. I really like this restaurant for its dedication to local ingredients and the execution of the dishes. More...
Great service, but it was a quiet night. We were upstairs which is delightful. The food was excellent and overall it was a great experience. Will be going again.
Nice relaxing atmosphere. No hurry to push you out. Great for special occasions.
Great tasty food! Friendly service and warm atmosphere. Am impressed by the lamb stew, salads and sandwiches! Great place for a pit stop to the Sierras or visit to Placerville.
We had a wonderful l lunch here recently! What I loved most was that my sandwich was available as a gluten free wrap! So often that option does not exist. The wrap was a turkey wrap with artichoke hearts. It was very good with lots of turkey1 More...
Go here for a superb gluten-free wrap. Any of their sandwiches can be made with their really good toasted wrap. I drive all the way from Sacramento for the roast beef wrap. It is unlike any gluten-free sandwich anywhere. It hits my taste buds with yumminess. Just a tiny very casual deli-type hole in the wall. I hope you are as pleased as I am with their flavor combinations. More...
The food courses came a little quick. Dinner was on table 3 minutes after first course Wine suggestion was great. Food fabulous Placerville has come a long way
Farm Table has always been good. The owners greet the customers at the table and they are the nicest people you will ever meet. Great food and great service. Will always return. More...
Everything was perfect! We'll be visiting again. In fact, after we dined, we purchased a gift card for some good friends of ours; we know they'll enjoy the restaurant also! Highly recommended!! More...
Make a reservation. These guys are really small. We showed up and they managed to squeeze us in under the stairs. The day we went, the dishwasher was broken, or called in sick, not sure which, so they were understaffed. The remaining staff let us know about the situation before seating us. We weren't in a hurry. The staff still did a great job, always had a smile, very friendly but slow given the circumstances. The food was seasonal, fresh and our group of 4 all loved our meals. The coffee is excellent too if you like it strong. Hmm. Bottomless mimosas!!!! More...
As one of the top 3 healthiest places to eat in Placerville. We highly recommend walking in to enjoy a friendly smile, wonderful customer service and amazing food. They do their best to have as much local ingredients as possible. Delightful house made meats, sauces and bread. You will not regret coming into this fine establishment. More...
Gracious hosts. Fabulous staff. And yes. Great food
The Farm Table is our favorite restaurant. The food and service is amazing. We’d like to try something different each time, but I must confess we’ve come back because we were craving the Osso Buco, Mixed Grill, Sausages, Cilantro lime corn on the cob, linguine and mussels ...haha yeah it’s that good!
All our meals in Placerville were great, but The Farm Table was the best.
Happy to stumble upon this place in Placerville. The beef carpaccio was perfectly thinly sliced and tasty! Everyone loved the bread and great selection of cheeses. Friendly staff and simple ambience made a relaxing dining experience. More...
My hubby brought me here for my b-day because they have great choices for my digestive issues, and they were willing to make adjustments for me, too. The food was delicious! It took a long time to get our meal, but our waitress recognized it before we had a chance to gripe and spoke to the owner who apologized to us personally and reduced our bill. Plus, little bonus at the end, the wrong dessert was delivered (we didn't know, it looked close enough!), and about the time we were finished, the right dessert showed up. Happy Birthday to me! ;-) More...
The first time we dined here last year we were heading home from Apple hill and decided to stop for a bite to avoid traffic, we live in Sacramento. We originally wanted to try a pizza place that was recommended to us at Apple hill, but this place caught my attention while we walked by, checked out the menu and everything was right up my alley so we decided to change our pizza plans. A nice table by the window upstairs, a few glasses of wine, perfect charcuterie plate, and I'm a bit of a snob when it comes to charcuterie. From the country pate to the pickled grapes, it was just perfect, even the mustard complimented everything on the plate. It was such a memorable dining experience we decided to make the drive up from Sac to have a date night in Placerville(45 minute drive). It was well worth it. Got the charcuterie plate again, even better than I remembered. Sausage plate with creamy polenta was very delicious. Burratta salad also very delicious. I really wish I could order one of everything on the menu. I also wish this place wasn't 45 minutes from where we live. Thank you to the owner Steve also for taking some time to chat with us and telling us the backstory of the restaurant and Placerville, it was truly a great dining experience. More...
Good food but very slow service. I had the pork osso buso that was delicious but we waited for 75 minutes to receive our food. It was not busy, just understaffed and not super trained waitress. Nice atmosphere but unbalanced background music that blared at times. I would definitely go again when they are better staffed since food was very good. More...
Lovely dinner: mushroom toast was savory, parsnip soup a delish blend of spices, sandwiches were rich. Server was well informed about the daily specials and attentive to where we were in our meal.
Hands-down best breakfast I've ever had. We got the turkey-pumpkin sandwich, the bacon benedict, and the biscuits & gravy. All were absolutely delicious. If you choose any place to eat out, this place should be on the top of your list!! More...
Great food. Underpriced.
This place. This is what started my expensive quality dining taste. We were seated right away and we spent a good chunk of money for one of the best meals I have ever had. Pork belly was fantastic.
It was a very busy evening but both the service and the food were very good! We enjoy seeing and visiting with the owners as they make the rounds ensuring everything is ok.
Owner of the restaurant was an incredibly kind woman, who sat us even though they were very busy. This place is a "labor of love" and you can tell how much time and thought was put into the food as well as the decor.I would recommend upstairs for date night (romantic vibe) and downstairs for drinks with friends. They make their own homemade meats which sound delicious! More...
It was simply awesome. We will be back. The rabbit rocked.
A Bruce D.
This restaurant has become a new favorite. We are vegan and these folks work to accommodate us. That alone is fabulous, but rhe atmosphere and the service are top rated. Local produce plus locally sourced food items make this place a special destination. For all of you carnivores, the sausage is tops. Attention to quality is first rate. We heartily recommend The Farm Table! More...
Just had a great meal, we are in a food coma. Can't believe this is our first time and they have been open for over two years. Charcuterie was amazing and a huge portion. Duck confit was perfect and my husband had the rabbit pot pie, with just a hint of fennel. Thank you Steve and your team. We had a lovely meal and will be back More...
Once again a fresh & meal served hot & delicious! Menu changes as fresh local ingredients are available. Service is timely & consistently friendly!
Not bad, and not great either. When a restaurant offers brunch only once a week on Sundays it probably doesn't specialize in brunch. But it is a cute place, with friendly staff.$11.75 Farmer's Omelet...sausage, ham, bacon and a cheese of your choosing. It wasn't bad, but it just wasn't anything special and tasted like something anyone could easily make at home. The potatoes were just okay. The wife got the same, and splashed on a lot of hot sauce in search for flavor. We probably should've picked something more unique, but we were both hungover and the Farmer's Omelet hits the spot for hangovers. More...
Went here for dinner and the food was amazing! Best mashed potatoes i've ever had in my life. The Wagyu is something everyone should try, it's just that good! Cooked right, vegetables were soft and flavorful. I would definitely come back here next time I'm in town More...
I took my boyfriend here so we could try their Sunday Brunch. I made our reservation for 9am which was great because it wasn't super busy or noisy inside. We sat at an upstairs table by the window which was perfect. The service was really good and the food was Amazing!! I ordered Eggs Benedict and my boyfriend ordered the Breakfast Turnover. I was also really impressed by the fact that the owner (Steve) came by our table to ask how we were and talked to us for awhile. We will definitely be returning in the future! More...
Good fresh food. Great stop on your drive back from a fun day in tahoe! Service is amazing. It's a cute rustic restaurant with options for the whole family. The carrot beet cake is to die for. More...
Mmmmmmmmmm is the sounds you will be making! Love the ambiance, service and most of all the food! Thank you!
Nom! We had an early dinner here at 5pm. Pork belly starter was delicious, then we had the filet mignon special which was a delight.. Absolutely melt in your mouth tender. They have a nice wine and beer selection. There are not a lot of options for folks with dairy and gluten restrictions, but they were able to substitute a side that I could eat. Friendly service, nice views on downtown from the windows upstairs. A lovely evening all around. More...
Wonderful comfort food--country french with a bit of continental and this/that. Food was delicious and service good. Though it lacked a full bar, the wine menu was loyal to the surrounding region which I like. A good find.
The food is always fresh and good, made with quality ingredients. My husband enjoyed the bacquerones while I had a delicious seasonal salad to start. We shared the pork osso buco which was very good. We also enjoyed the blood orange crime brûlée. More...
Its a little pricey but delicious. The ceiling upstairs is gorgeous and I've been lucky to come here when they've had live music and it was so fun! Lots if unique stuff here.
Good service and wonderful food until the dessert seemed to get lost in the shuffle. But they smoothed it over with complimentary cookies. A great stop on your way through Plqcerville or if you’re close a couple of times a week would be in order. More...
Excellent food. Fresh farm house food at a reasonable price. Staff made us feel special even though they didn't know it was my birthday. All the meat is cured there at location and you can taste the difference. The biscuits and gravy is the bomb! The eggs Benedict was amazing too! Try it you will not be disappointed. More...
Though I went on New Years Eve, I reserved an early dinner since my birthday happens to be on the 31st as well. The staff was very friendly and responsive, the food was thoughtfully prepared, with my favorite being the filet, which was tender and cooked rare, just as I had ordered it. The charcuterie dish was lovely, with the duck sausage paired beautifully with the couscous and fruit sauce. The meal ended with a delicious persimmon cake, accompanied by icecream, thin sliced fuyu, dried and ripe hachiya pulp. The only drawback to the evening was how warm upstairs was, and the incredibly uncomfortable high chairs. We were told that they would be redecorating soon, and hope that the chairs will be replaced. More...
New Years Eve dinner was very well done. Excellent service, great food choices and nice wine pairing.
Had a lovely New Year's Eve dinner - amazing food and the wine pairing was spot on.
The owner is the best! Very personal, friendly, and took a lot of time to visit with us and talk about his restaurant. Made the experience interesting and more fun! Great guy! Would highly recommend this place! More...
I've only had dessert here so far, but it was amazing! Great menu and a refrigerated section of sausages, pates and other delights to take home.
Ordered their brunch special of Eggs Benedict on crab cakes. Unique and very delicious. Lots of food.
Farm Table was recommended to us by our AirBnB hosts while we were in Placerville celebrating a California Christmas vacation. All the food was fresh and delicious! The service was on point and friendly. The restaurant itself was cute and quaint. I would definitely recommend dining here given the opportunity. More...
Unusual and delicious food and reasonable prices. Kevin was so kind and brought us beautiful cookies just because our two dishes were a couple minutes behind our two partners who were in a separate tab. Thumbs up!
Cute place in downtown Placerville. There is a few tables on the first floor. One for 6 people other than the bar height table which would not work for the 80 something grand parents. You order at the counter, get your own water and utensils and napkins. They brought out the food which was all delicious. We had the green salad, ham and cheese, hot Italian and squash soup. The wine pours were generous. Would return and maybe dine upstairs. More...
Our party of four went on a Thursday night which was nice because it was slow, and I understand that the locals take advantage of this and go during the midweek. I had their special which was Beef Bourguignon over garlic mashed potatoes with seasonal fresh veggies and it was delicious ! The meat was so tender and flavorful, the potatoes so creamy and the vegetables crisp tender, such a great comfort meal on a chilly evening. Everything we had was great, the mushroom toast appitizer to start was amazing as was the roasted garlic toast. And my husband and I shared the house salad with a citrus dressing. The waitress was attentive and friendly, and the manager/owner, not sure of his title, came to see how we were doing and we spent time talking to him. It's a very current atmosphere, and my husband said after eating there, why haven't we come her before? We'll be back, if not for dinner, I hear that they have a great brunch on Sunday's with a great menu selection! More...
Food was very good, although it takes a while to get served. Servers have to climb one flight of stairs to bring all food and drinks. It took 15mins to get dessert served.Parking available nearby. Some tables available on ground floor. Most are upstairs. More...
We love to sit upstairs by the windows to watch what's happening on Main Street. The food is consistently good. This visit we had a root vegetable tart as a starter; it was wonderful! The pork osso buco was also delicious. The service was good. This was the second visit where the restaurant's house wine was not available. That seems a little odd. Overall, a very enjoyable place! Very cute, almost New England feel, like something you’d find in the Berkshires. Great food, great service... willing and able to accommodate various dietary restrictions. Over all a great experience.
We went to the restaurant on the night of the Christmas tree lighting in town and enjoyed our dinner so much we went back the next night when it would not be so crazy. We made reservations for a particular table and were able to sit there. Our food was good however the serves was not so good the second night, the same waitress as the night before. We felt rushed to finish and were told they close at 9 while we were still eating, it was 8:30 at that point. I think the waitress must have had a hot date or something. We will try it again because the food was good. More...
DE-lish! The menu, the food, the ambiance... just perfect. What a pleasant surprise. Our party of 4 were seated upstairs... will return and request upstairs again. We all shared a bite with each other and everything got a thumbs up. Boquerones, deviled eggs, empanada, pasta, osso buco, polenta, grilled trio, duck confit and special dessert of chestnut crème brulee... yum yum yum. Just sorry it took so long for us to discover this place!! More...
No photos with my review. Why? Because way too busy enjoying brunch... and well, lunches and dinners before that. Even though it's over an hour drive away, Farm Table is beyond worth the extra miles. Best sausage. Friendly. A wonderful place to eat sausage for brunch!
Cajun pannini with pear blue cheese salad. Potato salad was super good and the ham, Brie and pear sando are highly recommended. Roast beef panini was good - a lil gristle but good flavor. Really want to try their brunch! They are have full service dinner. Lunch is order at cashier and sit downstairs or upstairs. I will recommend and come back More...
This restaurant was phenomenal. We had a truly farm to table experience. The food they served was organic, soulful and earthy. Above all it was delicious!! We been looking for restaurant like this in bay area and ended up finding one in Placerville. I ordered the pumpkin panini and soup of the day (cream of mushroom) they both hit the spot for us. My wife ordered soup and salad combo. Salad was fresh, rejuvenating and yummy too- we didn't need any dressing. The soup was simple, unpretentious and healthy even though it was called 'cream of mushroom' we didn't taste unhealthy overpowering cream you typically get in soups in other restaurants. The service was great and servers were very attentive. Portions was perfect too. We walked away feeling full, satisfied and happy! More...
After a most enjoyable family day taking in all the Fall color, food and festivities Apple Hill has to offer, we stopped to have an early dinner in Placerville. And we're sure glad we did! We looked online and decided to checkout a charming little place called The Farm Table. Our favorite kind of place! Because their entire menu is built around what's locally grown or raised and in season, their menu changes seasonally. Every bite was absolutely delicious and the service was superb!! And the owners, Steve & Lisa, stopped to visit with us too. If you live in the Sacramento area or find yourself near Placerville I highly recommend it. They do Sunday brunch too! More...
All I can say is WOW!!! And we only tried the lunch. I don't think I can say enough great things about the place. FRESH FRESH FRESH!! The creations they come up with, the flavors, the fresh baked bread, the classic downtown Placerville atmosphere- I could go on and on!! Can't wait to come back to try breakfast and dinner :) More...
The Farm Table is incredible and completely worth the trip up from Sacramento. Everything is fresh and delicious!
What wonderful fresh veggies and meat! Bread is very delicious, crusty and great flavor. Pate sandwich was perfection. Worth the trip to Placerville.
The service was very good, but I have noticed everything in Placerville takes forever, so their service times are very on par with the rest of the town, but the town, my stars, takes for ever to get anything.Food was delicious, drinks were delicious, value was spot on, server was honest and helpful - I had a great time! I will definitely be back, and if you decide to go, plan tooooo...... waaaaaiiiiitttttttttt.......... forrrreeeeeevvvveeeeerrrrrrrrrr...... More...
Upstairs is sunny without being hot or stuffy. The food choices include sausages, bacon, pâtés made by the proprietors. The vegetsbles and fruit are largly locally grown. Our waiter was efficient and friendly without interrupting our group of six. My duck comfit hash eas delicious. More...
Wonderful place. Will be going back. The bacon is to die for
We had a great time at The Farm Table. Love the history.
CATERING PERFECTION! We were lucky enough to have THE FARM TABLE cater our vacation home wedding reception. Kara was so great to work with - meeting our every need with ease and a really pleasant attitude. You could tell that she wanted to make sure that we were happy and had the best event possible for our 30 guests. From the amazing appetizers to an incredible buffet dinner, all of our guests couldn't be happier. It felt like a warm and welcoming family dinner with Kara as the effortlessly efficient chef in charge. :) We'd hire THE FARM TABLE again in an instant and can't wait to stop by the restaurant when we're passing through town! :) More...
Delicious food for a sisters birthday celebration. The mixed grill was wonderful with the chimichurri sauce the highlight. The garden salad was fresh with a light and satisfying dressing. Next time we will bring our husbands! More...
It was great food. One negative we were one of the first parties but waited quite long to get our food.
My husband and I were driving through town and found this wonderful little breakfast spot. The staff was friendly and kind and extremely accommodating with our baby stroller. I expected the usual breakfast, I ordered the chorizo scramble and my husband got the breakfast burrito. The food came out quick (which is always great when you're eating out with kids). My first bite blew me away, this was not an ordinary chorizo scram... this was one of the most unique and delicious mix of flavors I've ever tasted. They cooked the eggs and chorizo perfect, nothing was over done. Their chorizo was homemade as was the ketchup I asked for on the side. They added a small amount of cheese and laid it over hash browns. It felt clean, not cooked with a lot of oil or grease. My husbands burrito was equally as satisfying (I'd go into further detail but he's making fun of me for this review already). The portions were perfect, not too much but enough to fill us both. We can't wait to drive through town again to try more on their menu! More...
This was our second visit and we were not disappointed. We had the charcuterie platter which was just delicious, and very fresh. Our friends brought their own wine, and the host was kind enough to cork it for free. We tried two red wines, a syrah and a Barbera, both superb. The owner checks on all diners, and all staff are friendly and helpful. An added bonus-their menu changes seasonally! I highly recommend Farm Table. More...
It's still A Ok. Came on a Sunday. They looked stressed even though the place wasn't entirely packed. But it seemed like they only had two servers and apparently no busboy or dishwasher. I saw a table leave because they didn't want to be in that chaos. I thoroughly enjoyed my charcuterie plate. The soft cheese, prosciutto and pate was delicious. So was the bread. I also gave up dairy and meat for the month so I may be biased. But it was good. I enjoyed my friend's duck hash. She didn't finish it though. Twin didn't like her meal as much. She ordered poached eggs and they were on the cusp of being hard boiled on the outside. None of the soft and silky richness. I know it's tough to make but that was a bummer. Nice service though. Friendly with a smile despite the house not being in order. More...
We both ordered salmon. The salmon was over cooked. Other than that it was a nice evening
My man took me here after a weekend of river rafting. We ordered the millennial toast and the roast beef sandwich. Both were delicious!!!! The millennial toast was the perfect brunch- fresh greens, avocado, prosciutto, quail eggs. And I even had a bite of the roast beef sandwich which was very good. The inside of the restaurant is nice too very clean. Our waitress was very friendly and talkative. We will definitely come back. More...

My wife and I had an outstanding dining experience at the Farm Table! Everything was at it's best for the evening. The service, the wine, the table setting, oh, and the food was good too! Just kidding. The food was great, and everything else just added to the whole adventure. I would and will recommend this establishment to any and all friends. More...
We stumbled upon this gem of a restaurant on our way to Lake Tahoe. This will be our regular stop when we are passing through Placerville. We enjoyed the ambiance, great food and the chatty owner that really is interested in their customers. More...
Lovely respite for lunch at the Farm Table café. Cafeteria style ordering is first. Then find ypur spot on 1st or 2nd floor. I zeroed in on the smoked trout salad with green beans, sliced egg and balsamic dressing. Perfect lunch portion size. My friend had the BLT and was in heaven over the fresh flavors. Our order was up in about 15 or 20 minutes. Staff was very professional and aim to please. We'll be back! More...
Great find in Placerville! We stopped here on our way to Lake Tahoe. They serve high quality food with large portions and great service. The restaurant is beautiful and cool on a hot summer day. I'll be back!! More...
We enjoyed our dinner and her only complaint and it was mine or was that the service was a bit slow. Otherwise who is very delicious and the service was very good and we will definitely go back.
Great food, kind service and a nice cool lunch break from the heat. Highly recommend! We really enjoyed our sandwiches but loved their side salad of roast corn, black eyed peas and beans - SO yummy!
Great farm fresh food. The Turkey pesto sandwich was fantastic. Really nice staff working here. Will be back again.
Loved this place. Great people and ace brunch. Bought some sausages to have at home too!
Absolutely love this place. The food was spectacular the beer cold and service was excellent! The lovely woman behind the counter even recommended some great wineries for us upon request.
We contracted Kara and The Farm Table to cater our private venue wedding in Pilot Hill. We are from out-of-town, and from the very beginning, Kara was more than accommodating to our special circumstances. We met with Kara at the Farm table, and she had several tasting dishes prepared for us to try. She worked with us on a menu and helped us to stay within our budget. On our wedding day, she and her team showed up right on time and worked completely independently. The food was ready to go right on time and they worked constantly to keep the dishes stocked. The food was delicious and we got tons of compliments throughout the night. Kara event hooked us up with a bartender at a super-reasonable rate which was a big bonus. At the end of the night, they cleaned and packed up as if they were never even there! Thanks Kara! Would definitely recommend! More...
Five stars for the food. Steak and eggs was incredible, salad had shiso which was a treat. But potatoes were cold and the waitress threw shade when we asked to reheat aaaand was similarly peeved when we asked for cream for the coffee. That was a bummer.
My wife and I were visiting the area from LA and stopped here for lunch. What a pleasant surprise! She had the turkey pesto and I had the chicken panini. Both were incredible, amongst the best sandwiches we've ever had. Highly recommended. More...
Owner kindly held a table for us after Graduation event. Lunch was wonderful - the charcuterie platter was excellent with good portions of house made pate and sausage - ample supply of bread provided - sandwiches were made with hearty bread and stuffed full of meat and produce the smoked trout salad was impressive and very fresh. Altogether a very nice lunch with friendly service - highly recommend. More...
After hearing about it from her boss, my mom had expressed interest in coming here. And, in spite of Opentable showing no reservations available, I was able to call and get a table for four during prime brunch time on Mother's Day. Turning to our visit - the staff was friendly and overall the food was good, but the presentation could use some work. It's definitely got the feel of a family-run restaurant (a good thing in my mind) and the layout of the restaurant is interesting (with tables upstairs in side galleries overlooking the main floor). We had a three-course prix fixe and it was tasty - the smoked trout benedict and dessert merengue were great, but the food all came out in a relatively unceremonious fashion and without the garnish and cleaned up presentation that higher-end restaurants tend to have. That said, this play knows what it is, and it's not trying to be overly fancy. More...
Food was amazing. Our server Lauren was so nice. Wished we could have enjoyed our meal wth some wine but we were driving. We did buy their Red Wine Jelly and it rocks.
We met the owner and his name was Steve. (Tell the owner that I didn't have to ask his namebut I was curious!) He said that he'd owned it for a couple of years!.We asked a lot of questions and he was glad to answer them. We'll come back again. (And bring our friends with us!) More...
Had Mothers Day brunch yesterday. I had the chicken and arugula crepe with lemon caper sauce and balsamic drizzle and roasted potatoes. It was excellent! My daughter had creme Brule french toast and my son had eggs benedict with trout. The fruit starter was garden fresh and the strawberry merange and marscapone dessert was a big hit. Price was very reasonable and service was spot on especially since they were packed. Can't wait to go there again! More...
A neighboring shopkeeper recommended we try The Farm Table for lunch. We walked in just fifteen minutes before closing, were greeted warmly and told not to worry about the time. Needless to say, we had the place to ourselves. The owner took our order, seated us and the chef served us our sandwiches. The food is very tasty, inventive, skillfully prepared and locally sourced. The owner stopped by to check on us and gave us the history of the establishment and brought us a taste of pickled grapes. All of us wound up purchasing some of the homemade jarred specialities. The red mustard is absolutely delicious. Our late lunch turned out to be a delightful experience. More...
Outstanding experience. We were on our way to another restaurant and poked our head into Farm Table. There's a deli counter in front and one of the servers (Lauren) came up and chatted with us. We started out the door, got about a block, and turned around. What a stroke of luck.Sat upstairs with a view of downtown Placerville. Ordered off the App menu Pork Belly Confit, mushrooms, deviled eggs....freaking over the top. A great Oregon Pinot. Finished with the best bread pudding either of us has ever had.Steve McCargar (the owner) stopped by to chat during service. This guy and his wife have hit a home run. Run, don't walk, and go try Farm Table out now. More...
We enjoyed a fantastic dinner this evening. The food was delicious and the staff was super accommodating. We ordered sides of sausages with mash potatoes and peas for the kids. They loved it. To start we had deviled eggs, the mushroom toast, and a special of roasted brussel sprouts. The cream sauce with the mushrooms was complex and very tasty. The fresh pasta dishes were superb and the Oso bucco with polenta melted in the mouth. The chef owners, Zack and Kara, do an amazing job and our server Lauren was fantastic! Thank you! More...
