This was a second visit for my girlfriend and I... the first time we came for dinner during the power outage that affected most of Northern California. Today, we came up with a friend for lunch. The waitress today was super friendly and on top of things... the sandwiches we all ordered were fantastic. I’m glad we came back a second time... the food is tasty and clean, very no nonsense. After an afternoon at Apple Hill in Camino, CA, I worked up a mighty appetite. I saw the restaurant's sign off Hwy 50 and decided to check it out. First, the outside of the restaurant looks quaint and inviting, good lighting unlike the restaurant a few doors down, The Heyday Cafe, which I'm sure is nice but didn't look welcoming. Second, the items I had, the potato leek soup and sausage empanada was absolutely delicious. My sister had the steak bomb panini. Everything was so fresh tasting. Placerville has really stepped up its restaurants over the last few years, it doesn't seem to be a sleepy little stop off Hwy. 50 with only coffee shops and pizza places anymore. Great friendly staff... homemade sausages and other goodies... it was a perfect getaway during the power outage on Saturday!  My girlfriend ordered the prosciutto and arugula flatbread and I ordered the sausages on pretzel roll... and the beet carrot cake was a perfect finish!Can't wait for another visit!  Good solid food! Just come here. Food, people, atmosphere - all wonderful.Food - talk about fresh. My husband and I split the daily sausage and steak bomb panini and the to y human ordered the ham and cheese sandwich. I never in my wildest dreams expected such simple items to be so delicious. The big human meals came with a side - hubs had fingerling potatoes (how can something so simple be so good?!!) and I had the beet soup (believe me - just try it). When your kid's sandwich comes out on delicious crust bread, you know the food is going to be stellar. Service - our waitress was so sweet. Farm Table is a destination for us when we come up from Walnut Creek. The quality of the ingredients and the fresh seasonal menu options make this a consistent performer. They have a nice compliment of beers and wines and are adept at knowing their in-house pairings. Where they excel is in their in-house meats. Don't really see much room for improvement here.   Everything was excellent.   The Lavender Creme Brulee was a nice way to finish up.  I think I could eat about 10 of those and then never want creme brulee again for the rest of my life.   They also sell house made sausage to go.   There are coolers where you can buy meats and other things back by the side of the kitchen on the way to the restrooms.    Be sure not to miss the stuff back there.   Has upstairs seating also but it looks like it's just for couples.  We had 8 people in our group so the large downstairs table was just fine.  Great staff, top notch everything. We had excellent food and a great time at dinner.  The seafood grill with shrimp, scallops, and salmon on a polenta cake, was just what I wanted.  Mushroom toast was a terrific appetizer.  The fresh bread was so good.  It wasn't warm, cheap biscuits, but maybe sliced baguette from a fine bakery.  They wouldn't tell us where they got it!  Shishito peppers could have been a bit saltier and toastier, maybe just to the point of blistering.  They were also a bit oily, although that residue was perfect for mopping up with that delicious fresh bread.  The pork chop, duck, and pasta were all top notch.  The service was good.  We had a great time interacting with our service and the owner, who came by to say hello.  Check this place out! Old building from the 1800's which gives it so much character. You order at the counter and take a number with you. The view of the town from the upstairs tables is phenomenal. Food was 10 out of 10 amaze balls!

We had a wonderful dinner here a few months ago. Today I stopped in for a solo lunch. I ordered at the counter and took my glass of Prosecco and table number upstairs to a window table. The salmon Niçoise salad was simply delicious. The green beans had been delivered this morning and tasted fresh off the vine, ditto the cherry tomatoes.
