We had a wonderful dinner here a few months ago. Today I stopped in for a solo lunch. I ordered at the counter and took my glass of Prosecco and table number upstairs to a window table. The salmon Niçoise salad was simply delicious. The green beans had been delivered this morning and tasted fresh off the vine, ditto the cherry tomatoes. The dressing (served on the side) was light and flavorful. I brought home some of their chorizo. I'll be back! More...

My mom and I randomly stopped by for lunch on our day trip to Placerville and absolutely loved our meals. My mom says her BLT was the best she has ever had and I really enjoyed the turkey pesto panini I had. Fresh as it gets!  My sister, mother and I stopped in this place (3 hard foodie critics), the plan was to go to another place nearby, but they were on reservation basis only, so we decided to try this place.  I'm glad we did!Mom and I ordered the Farm table BLT - home made bacon, fixings on a warm ciabatta bun- It was so good!!! No regrets here.  I did however order extra pickles on the side, must have with BLT!Sis ordered an empanada, wow!!!! It was one of the best I have ever tasted, made with their fresh pork green chorizo, it was a winner! I purchases some of their "green chorizo" made with poblano peppers, made it for breakfast the next day yum, something new to try! We will revisit The Farm Table to try some of their other dishes, it was worth the drive (60 miles). More...

After an enjoyable day in Tahoe we drove back to Placerville for the night. Reservations were made at The Farm Table, and the reviews about this location were spot on. Our waitstaff was typical Northern California Friendly, very warm and helpful in making recommendations. The Salad, Entrees, wine were all wonderful. Local wines make up a bulk of the wine list, and that allowed us to try some names we rarely see in the East Bay. Save room for creme brûlé - no twist on this traditional dish, simply executed to perfection. The apricot pie was also extremely good. More...

The best 2 sandwiches ever!  Being our first visit, we didn't realize the size of the sandwhiches..no worries...great leftovers! We had the Big Easy and the Cuban Panini.  Both were absolutely amazing.  The Big Easy was loaded with ham, Turkey, salami, olive/artichoke tapenade, provolone cheese and spicy cajun remoulade...absolutely amazing...we loved it!  Now, the Cubano...best we've had anywhere, period!!!  This is a great place, wonderful setting and staff.  They also make their own sausage.  We got the lamb and mint and it was amazing...worth the 30 mile drive...we will retun. An excellent find! We came in from the Bay Area for a day of rafting with our teenaged kids. The food was fresh and creative, and the restaurant was homey and a pleasant place to be. Food was really terrific! Between us we had salads, soup, appetizer, rib eye steak, and the sea bass. The salads and soup were terrific. The cauliflower appetizer was good, though not warm or hot all the way through when it arrived, which diminished the overall quality. The sea bass was amazing (a huge portion) and there were good wines to pair with it. Talk about amazing!! Not only is the staff here friendly and efficient.... the food is to die for! It's like French food fancy but American size portions. Needed some On-the-road food to takeout and The Farm Table restaurant was on point and better than anything I've had driving back and forth from SF to Tahoe multiple times, 5 star customer service from Ryan, The empanada with homemade sausage is better than any empanada I've tasted in my whole life, The turkey pesto panini made me cry out PRAISE THE LORD - Wth Baby Jesus!  it was so delicious and flavorful, try it with the side of roasted vegetables- I just died and reincarnated just to eat the other half. Then the strawberry shortcake was like a divine dessert that some angels made in Heaven and sent down to make me realize that life is good and a satisfied stomach is always one step closer to Nirvana. xoxo More...

It was our first time at The Farm Table and sure won't be the last. Made reservations through Open Table and took my wife and Sister-in-law there for Sunday Brunch on Mothers Day and were immediately met by the smiling friendly hostess and seated at the Bar, were we made our reservations. We started with some mimosas that were a perfect with about 80% prosecco and 20% fresh squeezed OJ. It was a 3 Course Prix Fixe menu that day and our party started with Fresh Fruit and Berries as well as a perfectly dressed Blue Cheese and Walnut salad. The second course the two ladies had the Morel and wild mushroom Crepes with crispy roasted Potatoes and grilled asparagus. They both really enjoyed the earthy and super fresh flavors. I opted for the Duck Hash with two poached eggs which were cooked perfectly and loved every bite. The Duck pieces were crispy and flavorful and a perfect match to the rich and earthy flavors of the eggs and potatoes. We ended our meal with several mini fruit, Chocolate and Cream tartlets. Great food, nice atmosphere, remarkably nice paper napkins. Seriously, we brought a couple home with us and everyone who uses them keeps commenting on how nice they are.On to the important stuff: my family tried the sausage sandwich and two of the soups. Everything was excellent. My parents were a little disappointed that bread doesn't come with the soup, but that isn't really a big deal to me *shrug*Sausage is made in house, so I recommend trying it if you get the chance!For lunch, you order and pay at the counter, and they bring the food to your table. We had a dinner reservation at 6 p.m. We were seated upstairs at a lovely window table. Very good wine list and the dinner was absolutely excellent. The mushroom toast appetizer was our favorite and the rib eye steaks were perfectly cooked. The Creme Brulee rounded out the meal and was superb! Excellent, attentive staff! Went a couple of weeks ago and it was one of our best meals ever.  The staff was attentive, helpful and even complied with my request for a red rose on the table from a local florist (fee).  The atmosphere has a wonderful old time feel.  But huge kudos to the chef.  The empanada was flaky and well filled.  The pozole soup had large chunks of meat and was not overly spicy.  My fish was crispy but not overcooked and not oily in the least.  5 star all the way! I came in dangerously hungry and bewildered after trekking out from nevada city. The waiter/server that greeted us with warmth and gifted me the comfort of knowing that food was a mere few short minutes away. We sat for a couple minutes and were served up a delicious veggie sandwich, out of this world celery soup and although a small serving ( 4, albeit large) asparagus, it was perhaps the best asparagus that over ever tasted. 5 stars More...

As we were searching for a place to have lunch on main street the name of this restaurant quickly caught our eyes. As far as we are concerned, this is the best name for a restaurant that you can come up with because it sounds very inviting.I loved the gold country décor.The food was great. The girl at the counter took our order at the bar and had us pay which was different but I like different ways of doing things! Lol I ordered the turkey panini and it came out so yummy! Friday night 5:15 reservations: not busy The deviled eggs (4) ways was ExcellentThe creamy mushroom toast WAS EXCELLENT. The wines were good but white wine served in stemless glass, no no. Holding glass warms up the wine. My green pea salad with buttard was ok... not the best, a little too soggy. My husbands ribeye steak was excellent. He also enjoyed the beer.Waitress was good! Waiter/server forgot to serve my hubbies beer and mid meal we had to remind them. Overall, I will come back as i really like the flavors. I like the fresh soups and my husband likes the menu which changes by seasons (each quarter).TIP: Add the source of the organic farms/ suppliers of the menu. In Ireland the restaurants adds this to their menu so the patrons knows who/what/where/how the food was grown, raised, provided. Very important info!!! We wNt to know More...

First visit, Valentines Day dinner. We started with the chef's meat & cheese platter which was really good (and generously portioned), followed by the duck confit cassoulet and rabbit pot pie which we shared family style. Also both excellent. My wife is an unabashed foodie and rated the meal as the best she's had for years. Servers were warm, friendly and on their game. Great restaurant for special dinners. Really nice little place that I have overlooked. The food was not great, with the exception of the appetizer, and very expensive. The menu was limited but had a decent range of items. The service was decent and friendly enough. I did get mushrooms on my dinner which were not included in the menu description and I would have requested to have left off. This is the second time we've eaten at Farm Table. The first was a year ago for lunch and tonight we had dinner. We don't remember much from our lunch experience. The dinner was underwhelming. Pros: drink selection (all natural soda offerings), good kids menu with basic kids selections but those selections are raised to another level , good quality ingredients, kind staff.Cons: my duck confit cassoulet was well seasoned but the duck was dry and some of the beans were not fully cooked. My husband's rabbit pot pie only had crust on the top, there was hardly any rabbit in the pie, hardly any veggies, and the filling was soupy, not thick. Disappointing for the price. To be fair we did not share our concerns with the staff as we were in a hurry and things were not so dire that we felt we needed to discuss the issue.We will probably try it again in the future. Thanks to all of the other Yelpers we decided to try this restaurant while driving back from Tahoe and it did not disappoint! The service was top notch. The staff were very understanding with food allergies and were able to recommend great dishes to meet those needs. The chef even brought the plate out himself to let us know about the extra care he took to prevent any cross contamination. He also had a food allergy and was very understanding. I had the chicken Waldorf salad and it was amazingly delicious! The bread and butter were yummy, and the butter was sprinkled with sea salt that gave it a little extra taste. I will definitely return here and would recommend anyone to eat here. There are also a few 2 person tables on the second floor that overlooks the street which makes for fun people watching during daylight. I was told in the evening that people reserve those tables so you might want to call ahead if dining during the dinner time to reserve one. More...

1/6/2019:  WAAAAAAH~My brother, Albert called me out of the blue stating he was driving in from SF Bay Area wanting to take me out to lunch . . . Awesomely SCHWEET!  Truthfully, my brother wanted taking me out to Mel's Diner . . . Turning my nose up thinking, envisioning:  "GMO greasy food-MEH~ . . . "  Assuredly, eating at Mel's wasn't going cut it for me after being so seriously ill with walking pneumonia muttering under my breath, frowning:  "NYET, anni-yo, grabbe-diri, non, never-NOT!"  Looking at my brother:  "Uhm~I'd like suggesting eating at John's Grill instead . . ."  BUT . . . On the way to John's Grill-I yelled, "Albert!  Stop-Park here and let's eat at Farm Table instead of eating at John's Grill, okay?"  Yup~Albert smirked quipping, "Ahhh~Cool!"  He found a parking space directly across the street from Farm Table-totally cool, indeed.We walk into Farm Table and Albert's first sentence out of his mouth, "Wow~This is a VERY nice restaurant (Albert's eyes lit up brightly)!  Uh, sadly, Shirley~I can't drink because I'm driving."  I assured Albert, "No worries, Albert-We'll just drink coffee and H2O."We walked towards the counter looking at the chalkboard where the special menu listed today was . . . THE top on the special menu list was the linguiça which we were informed by Farm Table's owner, Steve:  "The linguiça was freshly made this morning and we store what we make in the freezer . . ."FYI:  The linguiça comprises as a form of smoke-cured, pork sausage seasoned with garlic and paprika well-renown in Portuguese-speaking countries AND also, our favorite sausage both Albert and I love inhaling.Both of us were slowly savoring every single bite of the linguiça and when Steve stated he sells the linguiça, Albert eyes lit up stating, "I don't have my cooler with me now but, Steve-I'll buy some linguiça when I return to Placerville!"Also, Steve brought over some organic, freshly pickled vegetables and the female waitstaff brought over some  petite pickles:  The pickled vegetables tasted reminiscent to the non-spicy, no red pepper paste  Kimchee.  The flavor was hauntingly delicious!Steve struck up a conversation with Albert and me while serving us more coffee; we exchanged ideas regarding food, holding wedding events at Farm Table, and also, contributing involvement with the Wine Tours for El Dorado County.  Therefore, ONE word comprises Farm Table's quality and cool vibes, "AWESOME!" We stopped here for an early dinner last night on the way back from Tahoe. Based on the reviews we were hopeful it would be good but it far exceeded our expectations! Fantastic! We have vegetarians and non vegetarians in our family and both walked away thrilled with their dinners. Favorites included squash stuffed with farro, flat bread with roasted vegetables and goat cheese, and the rabbit pot pie was one of the best things I've ever eaten. We also enjoyed the attentive , friendly service, from the staff and owner, and the cozy casual atmosphere. We had a wonderful dinner here. We were on the road and called late for reservations. They were very busy that evening but fit us in. Service was friendly and efficient. We started with the cider-glazed pork confit, which is plated with sweet-and-sour red cabbage and roasted apple. The pork belly melts in your mouth, but at the same time the skin has a delightful crunch.For my entree I chose the stuffed pork chop, which came with maple-glazed carrots and mac and cheese. Hubby had the rabbit pot pie and a side of potato salad (one of his faves).Everything was good, but hubby absolutely loved the pork belly. The standouts for me were the mac and cheese and the sticky toffee pudding dessert. We both agreed that the mac and cheese was probably the best we've ever had. The sticky toffee pudding was superb. We eat here frequently, often bringing our house guests since we like the restaurant so much. This time while the food was good, the service was off. Failed to bring the ordered mushroom toast for the first course. Failed to bring the two glasses of wine until reminded. Failed to omit the lentils and replace with salad greens for one entree. Felt rushed at the end by the server clearing the table and bringing dessert menus. They did try to compensate by comping the dessert. This was unusual, we never have had problems like this in the past. We did get to meet the new owner Steve so that was nice. The charcuterie was excellent. The pork chop was dry. We really love the fact the owner sources local ingredients when possible and creates seasonal menus around what’s available. The service and food was a little slow but we came here wanting an experience and a date so we liked the extra time. The wait staff was very friendly and the owner checked in a couple of times to ensure our food met our standards. There are also onsite sauces, meats, and pickled veggies you can buy to go. Few words are necessary to grasp how good the food is here! Organic eggs!  French style rolled omelet oh my that was delicious. Who gets the idea to crush down ciabatta bread in a panini press to glorious crispy scrumptious flats? These folks! Butternut squash, caramelised onion and spinach and cheese was a clever and tasty combination for a veggie omelet. SO GOOD! One of the more current and cozy places to eat in historic Placerville. Farm to Table menu with homemade items to choose from. You order at the front counter and then find a seat. Plenty of options upstairs and downstairs. They make their own meats and other items as well. Wine & beer is available. Self serve water & tea. Homemade desserts. GLUTEN FREE OPTIONS!! This place was cool. I got the charcuterie board and it was soooo great!!! The only thing I warn you to be cautious of is the horseradish I thought it was mustard and took a bunch and it burnt my tongue! But it was still really great. My mom LOVED her plate and that's hers in the second picture. She didn't love how we kept having to ask for water constantly. We don't drink and weren't feeling anything besides water but it was kind of annoying that we kept having to wait to get our water and eat without any water for a while. I got the Mary's chicken with ratatouille and tbh it wasn't that great? I didn't even get the breast (which is my favorite part of the chicken) and that was kind of disappointing and I guess I had another thing in mind of what I wanted the ratatouille to look and taste like and it didn't give me that...but that's my expectations lol also it looked more like Remy's (Disney cook-also a rat lmao) brothers (the fat rat in ratatouille) slops of ratatouille instead of remy's ratatouille :/ More...

The entrees were delicious. Salmon and duck confit were bursting with flavor and served with sides that nicely complimented the main dish. We were seated on the second floor overlooking main-street, making for a fun view of passers-by. Service was good. Only disappointment was the dessert - we ordered the s'mores, loving the idea of a home-made graham cracker taco. Idea: brilliant, execution: not great. The wafer had no crunch and it seemed they used chocolate syrup instead of a chocolate bar, making the entire thing feel soggy. Walked in for lunch with my friend this Wednesday.  Simple interior design, easy concept, order at the counter, they bring to you.  Menu changes monthly I believe.  I ordered the soup of the day, tomato and basil bisque....DELISH!  Also had the kids size grilled cheese, perfect small size to accompany bowl of soup.  Added the side salad of cabbage chai and pumpkin seed slaw tossed in vinegarette.  The meal was filling and ohhhh sooo good! Stopped at this spot on our way back to Davis after at weekend in Tahoe and really enjoyed it! I was looking for a good cheeseboard as I figured that Placerville must have some scrumptious spots. I was definitely not disappointed! The Farm Table is located in a super cute spot in downtown Placerville. When we went in we were asked if we had a reservation (we didn't) and chose to sit down at the bar. There we had super fast service. The cheeseboard was HUGE and not very expensive. I was a little hesitant at all of duck (duck pastrami, duck pate), but was super pleasantly surprised once I tasted it. The serving was HUGE (it was all we got and my boyfriend and I couldn't finish it together) and so yummy. Definitely worth a visit! More...

11:35 a.m. Steve, the owner and front of house host, seated me right away at window table upstairs for a noon reservation. I asked about specials; Steve said they were sold out of sausage biscuits and gravy. Sunday brunch menu or lunch menu on back of menu available. Ordered BLT, as I was told it was fabulous. Had to flag down Steve when he was replacing bus bin and after two servers delivered food to two other tables near me and did not even nod my way. Steve came and took my order. BLT yellow heirloom tomatoes spring greens mayo served as n grilled panini. Needed more bacon but bread was delicious. At end of meal, I heard another waiter offer the biscuits and gravy. While driving back down to the bay, we stumbled upon this cute place in Placerville. We went here for salads, and we both enjoyed the caprese (with marinated shrimp) and the farm table cobb salad. Stopped in for Sunday Brunch. Glad I had made a reservation on Open Table, although there seemed to be plenty of seating at noon. Food was very good - had the Californian omelette and traditional Eggs Benedict. Wanted the French toast, but they were out of it! So, I'm assuming it's pretty darned yummy, too. The first visit was superb about 6 weeks ago.  They lost a star this time though because we very patiently waited 50 minutes for our food.  The waiter did bring us some toast to 'tide' us over.  Clearly unacceptable wait time but the wait was worth every minute.  Wife doesn't eat bread or potatoes any more so she tolerated the inconvenience.  Her order substituted fruit instead of potatoes for which we were charged extra.  Not until the check came did we find out the reason for the long wait.  One chef called in and chose not to come to work. They called in the evening chef to help out but way late.  I think they could have cautioned the customers and indicated that they had a problem.  We will return but we will make a reservation and inquire as to the staffing issues. Tonight we tried this restaurant because of a write up I read a couple days ago. We made reservations for 2 and when we arrived we were taken upstairs by Lynnette for a great table overlooking Main Street. It was great!  We ordered Empanadas. Oh my gosh they were delicious!  Flavored perfectly inside an amazing flaky crust! We were able to make reservation on line and received confirmation and then a reminder. They had selected a table for 4 in a small area next to the window. Great view of Main Street activities. Our server was excellent and made sure special requests were met. All of our selections were prepared perfectly and portions quite large. The desserts were quite inventive and delicious. Second time eating here and we really enjoyed the food. It was spring so Charity had the farro risotto with fava beans and peas, Tom the pork osso bucco and I the lamb stew. For starters we shared the pork belly confit, deviled eggs and mushroom toast. The mushroom toast remains my favorite starter. The lamb stew was in a thick brown gravy which I was initially skeptical about but it was seasoned very well and was delicious. Go here for a superb gluten-free wrap. Any of their sandwiches can be made with their really good toasted wrap. I drive all the way from Sacramento for the roast beef wrap. Make a reservation. These guys are really small. We showed up and they managed to squeeze us in under the stairs. The day we went, the dishwasher was broken, or called in sick, not sure which, so they were understaffed. The remaining staff let us know about the situation before seating us. We weren't in a hurry. The staff still did a great job, always had a smile, very friendly but slow given the circumstances. The food was seasonal, fresh and our group of 4 all loved our meals. My hubby brought me here for my b-day because they have great choices for my digestive issues, and they were willing to make adjustments for me, too. The food was delicious! It took a long time to get our meal, but our waitress recognized it before we had a chance to gripe and spoke to the owner who apologized to us personally and reduced our bill. Plus, little bonus at the end, the wrong dessert was delivered (we didn't know, it looked close enough!), and about the time we were finished, the right dessert showed up. The first time we dined here last year we were heading home from Apple hill and decided to stop for a bite to avoid traffic, we live in Sacramento. We originally wanted to try a pizza place that was recommended to us at Apple hill, but this place caught my attention while we walked by, checked out the menu and everything was right up my alley so we decided to change our pizza plans. A nice table by the window upstairs, a few glasses of wine, perfect charcuterie plate, and I'm a bit of a snob when it comes to charcuterie. From the country pate to the pickled grapes, it was just perfect, even the mustard complimented everything on the plate. It was such a memorable dining experience we decided to make the drive up from Sac to have a date night in Placerville(45 minute drive). It was well worth it. Got the charcuterie plate again, even better than I remembered. Sausage plate with creamy polenta was very delicious. Burratta salad also very delicious. I really wish I could order one of everything on the menu. I also wish this place wasn't 45 minutes from where we live. Not bad, and not great either.  When a restaurant offers brunch only once a week on Sundays it probably doesn't specialize in brunch.  But it is a cute place, with friendly staff.$11.75 Farmer's Omelet...sausage, ham, bacon and a cheese of your choosing.  It wasn't bad, but it just wasn't anything special and tasted like something anyone could easily make at home.  The potatoes were just okay.  The wife got the same, and splashed on a lot of hot sauce in search for flavor.  We probably should've picked something more unique, but we were both hungover and the Farmer's Omelet hits the spot for hangovers. I took my boyfriend here so we could try their Sunday Brunch. I made our reservation for 9am which was great because it wasn't super busy or noisy inside. Though I went on New Years Eve, I reserved an early dinner since my birthday happens to be on the 31st as well. The staff was very friendly and responsive, the food was thoughtfully prepared, with my favorite being the filet, which was tender and cooked rare, just as I had ordered it. The charcuterie dish was lovely, with the duck sausage paired beautifully with the couscous and fruit sauce. The meal ended with a delicious persimmon cake, accompanied by icecream, thin sliced fuyu, dried and ripe hachiya pulp. The only drawback to the evening was how warm upstairs was, and the incredibly uncomfortable high chairs. We were told that they would be redecorating soon, and hope that the chairs will be replaced. Cute place in downtown Placerville. There is a few tables on the first floor. One for 6 people other than the bar height table which would not work for the 80 something grand parents. Our party of four went on a Thursday night which was nice because it was slow, and I understand that the locals take advantage of this and go during the midweek.  I had their special which was Beef Bourguignon over garlic mashed potatoes with seasonal fresh veggies and it was delicious ! The meat was so tender and flavorful, the potatoes so creamy and the vegetables crisp tender, such a great comfort meal on a chilly evening.   Everything we had was great, the mushroom toast appitizer to start was amazing as was the roasted garlic toast.   And my husband and I shared the house salad with a citrus dressing.   The waitress was attentive and friendly, and the manager/owner, not sure of his title, came to see how we were doing and we spent time talking to him.  It's a very current atmosphere, and my husband said after eating there, why haven't we come her before? We went to the restaurant on the night of the Christmas tree lighting in town and enjoyed our dinner so much we went back the next night when it would not be so crazy. We made reservations for a particular table and were able to sit there. Our food was good however the serves was not so good the second night, the same waitress as the night before. My husband and I were driving through town and found this wonderful little breakfast spot. The staff was friendly and kind and extremely accommodating with our baby stroller. I expected the usual breakfast, I ordered the chorizo scramble and my husband got the breakfast burrito. The food came out quick (which is always great when you're eating out with kids). My first bite blew me away, this was not an ordinary chorizo scram... this was one of the most unique and delicious mix of flavors I've ever tasted. They cooked the eggs and chorizo perfect, nothing was over done. Their chorizo was homemade as was the ketchup I asked for on the side. They added a small amount of cheese and laid it over hash browns. It felt clean, not cooked with a lot of oil or grease. My husbands burrito was equally as satisfying (I'd go into further detail but he's making fun of me for this review already). The portions were perfect, not too much but enough to fill us both. It's still A Ok. Came on a Sunday. They looked stressed even though the place wasn't entirely packed. But it seemed like they only had two servers and apparently no busboy or dishwasher.  I saw a table leave because they didn't want to be in that chaos. I thoroughly enjoyed my charcuterie plate. The soft cheese, prosciutto and pate was delicious. So was the bread. I also gave up dairy and meat for the month so I may be biased. But it was good. I enjoyed my friend's duck hash. She didn't finish it though. Twin didn't like her meal as much. She ordered poached eggs and they were on the cusp of being hard boiled on the outside. None of the soft and silky richness. Lovely respite for lunch at the Farm Table café. Cafeteria style ordering is first. Then find ypur spot on 1st or 2nd floor.  I zeroed in on the smoked trout salad with green beans, sliced egg and balsamic dressing. Perfect lunch portion size. My friend had the BLT and was in heaven over the fresh flavors.  Our order was up in about 15 or 20 minutes. Staff was very professional and aim to please.  We'll be back! More...

We enjoyed our dinner and her only complaint and it was mine or was that the service was a bit slow. Otherwise who is very delicious and the service was very good and we will definitely go back.

Great food, kind service and a nice cool lunch break from the heat. Highly recommend! We really enjoyed our sandwiches but loved their side salad of roast corn, black eyed peas and beans - SO yummy!

We contracted Kara and The Farm Table to cater our private venue wedding in Pilot Hill. We are from out-of-town, and from the very beginning, Kara was more than accommodating to our special circumstances. We met with Kara at the Farm table, and she had several tasting dishes prepared for us to try. She worked with us on a menu and helped us to stay within our budget.On our wedding day, she and her team showed up right on time and worked completely independently. The food was ready to go right on time and they worked constantly to keep the dishes stocked. The food was delicious and we got tons of compliments throughout the night. Kara event hooked us up with a bartender at a super-reasonable rate which was a big bonus. At the end of the night, they cleaned and packed up as if they were never even there!Thanks Kara! Five stars for the food. Steak and eggs was incredible, salad had shiso which was a treat. But potatoes were cold and the waitress threw shade when we asked to reheat aaaand was similarly peeved when we asked for cream for the coffee. That was a bummer.

Owner kindly held a table for us after Graduation event.   Lunch was wonderful - the charcuterie platter was excellent with good portions of house made pate and sausage - ample supply of bread provided - sandwiches were made with hearty bread and stuffed full of meat and produce the smoked trout salad was impressive and very fresh.   Altogether a very nice lunch with friendly service - highly recommend. After hearing about it from her boss, my mom had expressed interest in coming here.  And, in spite of Opentable showing no reservations available, I was able to call and get a table for four during prime brunch time on Mother's Day.  Turning to our visit - the staff was friendly and overall the food was good, but the presentation could use some work.  It's definitely got the feel of a family-run restaurant (a good thing in my mind) and the layout of the restaurant is interesting (with tables upstairs in side galleries overlooking the main floor).  We had a three-course prix fixe and it was tasty - the smoked trout benedict and dessert merengue were great, but the food all came out in a relatively unceremonious fashion and without the garnish and cleaned up presentation that higher-end restaurants tend to have.  That said, this play knows what it is, and it's not trying to be overly fancy. Had Mothers Day brunch yesterday. I had the chicken and arugula crepe with lemon caper sauce and balsamic drizzle and roasted potatoes.  It was excellent! My daughter had creme Brule french toast and my son had eggs benedict with trout.  The fruit starter was garden fresh and the strawberry merange and marscapone dessert was a big hit. Price was very reasonable and service was spot on especially since they were packed. Can't wait to go there again! More...

A neighboring shopkeeper recommended we try The Farm Table for lunch. We walked in just fifteen minutes before closing, were greeted warmly and told not to worry about the time.  Needless to say, we had the place to ourselves. The owner took our order, seated us and the chef served us our sandwiches.The food is very tasty, inventive, skillfully prepared and locally sourced. The owner stopped by to check on us and gave us the history of the establishment and brought us a taste of pickled grapes. All of us wound up purchasing some of the homemade jarred specialities. Outstanding experience.  We were on our way to another restaurant and poked our head into Farm Table.  There's a deli counter in front and one of the servers (Lauren) came up and chatted with us.  We started out the door, got about a block, and turned around.  What a stroke of luck.Sat upstairs with a view of downtown Placerville.  Ordered off the App menu Pork Belly Confit, mushrooms, deviled eggs....freaking over the top.  A great Oregon Pinot.  Finished with the best bread pudding either of us has ever had.Steve McCargar (the owner) stopped by to chat during service.  This guy and his wife have hit a home run.  Run, don't walk, and go try Farm Table out now. We enjoyed a fantastic dinner this evening. The food was delicious and the staff was super accommodating.  We ordered sides of sausages with mash potatoes and peas for the kids. They loved it. To start we had deviled eggs, the mushroom toast,and a special of roasted brussel sprouts. The cream sauce with the mushrooms was complex and very tasty. The fresh pasta dishes were superb and the Oso bucco with polenta​ melted in the mouth. The chef owners, Zack and Kara, do an amazing job and our server Lauren was fantastic! Thank you! More...
