Although 6 lessons were paid for in advance, unfortunately, I only took 4 of them as after 4 months of training with Kerry (including countless hours training at home/on walks etc), there had been no improvement to the 3 primary behavioural needs (lead walking, lead reactivity & eating habits), also to my disappointment, Kerry was NOT willing to offer a refund for the remaining 2 lessons not taken, which I feel is unreasonable (having since spoken to other dog trainers, other trainers do offer a refund for lessons not taken as they appreciate that dogs won't always gel with every dog trainer's methods).
After discussions with Kerry following the 4 months of training, I feel confident that all of Kerry's advice was taken on board and put into practice, however, I learnt that all dogs are different and can't be trained with the just one overriding approach, especially when the dog isn't food driven, nor overly interest in playing with toys when there's other distractions outside the house.
I have since gone to another dog trainer using different training methods and there has been significant improvement after 6 weeks and he is still the happy go lucky dog I adopted 10 months ago.

Just attended a 6 week course and found it excellent. I have a very timid pooch who would not be around anyone. During the weeks on this course she has come out of her shell a little and even went to others on occasions. The Fairydogmother is patient, knowledgeable, kind and fun. Wonderful display technique of 'how to do sit, stay, leave' etc ... with you reinforcing the commands at home. You even learn when a dog is stressed and what signs they display. Had a home visit behaviour consultation as our new puppy is very low on confidence and was fab! Kerry is brilliant and I would recommend her to everybody. Took the time to teach my children how to handle our new pup and they are now following her methods. She gave us such great tips on training and why these methods are effective (so much easier to train when you understand your dog and how they respond). In the time we have worked with Kerry our Pooch is responding to us well (just like she said she would) and having the most fun being part of our family. Our pup is only 4 months and hasn’t had the best start with previous owners but with Kerry’s guidance I now feel confident to help her confidence grow and can’t wait for the day when she happily goes for walks and learns the world isn’t such a scary place. We would absolutely recommend Kerry to anyone who is looking for a dog trainer/walker. Kerry came to us last year when we needed some advice when we had a behavioural issue with our dog. She gave us some excellent tips which have done the trick.Kerry now walks our dog 5times a week for us and he has a fantastic time. We trust her to come into our home and walk our dog. What do you love most about your job?
I love helping people and their dogs enjoy their life together by preventing or helping with problems. Preventing dogs ending up in rescue because of problems that can be overcome and building amazing relationships between children and dogs, preventing dog bites by teaching children how to behave around their dog or puppy.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I just love what I do!
One of my first dogs (over 20 years ago now!) had behaviour problems and trying to help him, along with working at a rescue as a volunteer and seeing so many dogs there because of behaviour issues their owners couldn't deal with, made me want to help other people,
