This little Inn was absolutely beautiful. We had such a relaxing time here. Chef Keith and Staff are leaps and bounds above average service. I recommend the The Chefs Table if you have a chance. we didn't get to this time but will definitely when we come back. I stayed at the Esmeralda for three nights with 4 friends for a girls weekend. We got the River Rock Cabin which was more roomy and beautiful than we even imagined! We had a blast and enjoyed especially the sound of the river behind the cabin. The back porch was perfect to sit and watch and listen to the water. We enjoyed having a full kitchen which we used one rainy night to fix dinner and stay in. Another night we had dinner at the Esmeralda which was delicious and creative. The full breakfast-included- was great each day too. Everyone on staff was helpful, hardworking and pleasant, exceeding expectations at every turn. More...

Went to dinner at the Inn for our anniversary. My husband had the Dijon crusted salmon, pumpkin mashed potatoes & squash which he said was the best he ever had. I had the Nantucket sea scallops with pomegranates, Autumn squash risotto, and squash. I have to agree with my husband that it was one of the best meals ever. Besides being absolutely delicious the presentation was outstanding. Not to mention the Shrimp & grits spring rolls that was the perfect start to our meal. Magnificent dinner this evening! Surf and turf was so incredibly awesome! Blue berry preserve garnish on seared sea scallops, who knew this could be so wonderful! ! We just returned from a 4 night stay at the Esmeralda. I have traveled to several states and countries. This Inn is unique. The building is quaint, but functional. Very clean. The Restaurant is excellent. The Staff of the Inn and Restaurant are extraordinary, and very personable. They work hard to get to know you. I surprised my wife for our anniversary with a trip to The Esmeralda to dine at The Chef’s Table and we had an amazing time! Not only was the food phenomenal, but Chef Keith really set the night on fire! I could not have asked for a better experience than the menu that was prepared for us and the conversation with the chef throughout the many courses. My husband surprised me on our honeymoon for a nice romantic dinner here. It was a very nice location and it definitely had that romantic classy feel. The prices were high in my opinion for the food you got. Staff was friendly. There was no one else in the restaurant when we went at 6pm which was both odd but nice to be just the 2 of us.
