We approached Aletta Shaw a few days after losing a possession hearing due to being given wrong advice by our insurers when serving Section 8. I am really disappointed with The Elite PI. Especially with a guy called Dan. They did not get the job done, I did not get any videos, not even one photo of the person I paid them to investigate, and Dan said he will refund back my money, and has been giving me the run around. Very unprofessional. I would be very careful to use this company. I could have used another trusted company but Dan assured me that I would not be disappointed, and boy am I disappointed. They can really prey on your vulnerability, not caring how emotional the situation makes you feel. I am still waiting to be refunded and will be forced to take legal action if I am not refunded in full. If you let them get away with it once, what stops them from doing it again? People need to know the businesses you can trust and the ones you can not. I recently seeked the help of Samir at Aletta Shaw, after finding myself potentially facing prosecution for fare evasion. Travelling on the day of a major sporting event, the platforms and trains were packed full of people . I arrived on the platform running late and thought I would be able to purchase a ticket on the train. Due to the volume of people on the train, there was no such opportunity. On arrival at my destination I seeked a way to pay for my travel. Several members of staff pointed me in the direction to purchase a ticket. On arrival, I found myself (along with loads others) being questioning by multiple train staff and transport investigator staff on why I had travelled without a ticket and that I had committed 'fraud'. In despair I had a panic attack; I always had full intention of paying for my travel. In a moment of panic I answered a question incorrectly, stating the wrong station I had travelled from. They conducted a report on me and told me they would be in contact, informing me I could be facing prosecution. A few months and several sleepless nights later I received a letter to provide an opportunity to mitigate the case, if the information was not correct. At this point I contacted Samir. Throughout the case, Samir was reassuring and helpful. He was open and honest about my chances and set my expectations well.
