Had lovely back scrub treatments for myself & my friend. Very professional lovely afternoon tea. £10 parking charge was way to much though. That would be the one think would put me off returning. I know there is a public car park opposite but no guarantee of any spaces. More...

The hotel was nice but very difficult for people with mobility problems as only stairs to get into the hotel that I could see. Also the staff were lovely and worked very hard but the dining room Buffett was not fit for purpose for the number of people staying at the hotel and there was only one member of staff serving the Buffett bless him. I have a single room which though small is adequate but mattress could do with replacing. More...

Went yesterday with my daughter and had a lovely time lunch was lovely staff friendly.my daughter had a massage and I had a facial we were both very pleased. Only downer is unless your a size 12 or under the robes don't fit which I found very embarrassing also £10 charge for the car park made me angry I think if you are using the hotel you should not have to pay £10 (bit steep) you couldn't go there for a nice meal with the heafty car charges.shame as I would like to. Treated my partner to a massage and afternoon tea. He loved it so much he's going to book again. The staff are very nice and the ladies in the spa are very professional.
If anyone goes and are worried about hotel parking charges, there is a long stay car park close the the roundabout.

Lovely hotel, although a little dated. Beds were comfy. Room was clean. Breakfast was really nice.
The pool/sauna/spa is very small, and when it was busy with kids. There was literally no room. And definitely not room to swim. Parking really let the place down too, tiny car park. And if you manage to park, then if you leave you will loose your space. Even tho you have paid £10 More...

Stayed here a few times now. Hotel and room always spotless. Breakfast fantastic. Staff very polite and always look smartly dressed. Next time I book I will ask for a room at back as you do get road noise at the front which limits sleep. First floor floorboards are very creaky but think this is due to the age of the building. Spa and pool good however I think it could be more brightly lit as it is quite dark. Would also like more sun loungers to lay on and relax. More...

Had a spa break for xmas so decided to combine it with a DBB for the night.
Room was spotless...bed was comfy.
Food was excellent and id like to say how lovely all the staff were.
Pool/sauna and steam room were nice...was busy around tea time on the Tuesday but wednesday lunchtime was very quiet . Opted for a massage as our treatment which was lovely followed by cream tea and presecco again which was nice. We managed to get parking on the side road which was a bonus.
Would definetely go again.

This hotel is a comfortable hotel in a great spot
The bathroom was very small and we were in the superior room
Very creeky floors all over the hotel upstairs
Comfortable big bed and great breakfast though
Had to pay £10 for parking the car and when we went out and came back there were no spaces left and they said that it's first come first serve so had to park in disabled bay but was told that if any blue badges come in I would have to move even tho I played £10 thought that was wrong if you pay for space it should be yours until you leave
When we checked out we wernt even asked how are stay was they just said room number and then said yes that's it very rude I thought

I came for a mid week stay at the Durley Dean and it did not disappoint, my room was a very large room, clean and comfortable. I was very happy to find an iron and ironing board in my wardrobe which I needed and didn’t have to go and ask at reception. There was also a fan in the room so it was a pleasant temperature at night. Unfortunately I didn’t have time to use the spa facilities (pool and sauna) but I did have an Elemis full body massage was amazing, clearly an experienced therapist and the heated couch was a really nice touch. The staff were very friendly at the bar and reception, and advised me that it was a very short walk to the beach so it’s a shame a couldn’t have stayed longer. More...

Lovely hotel
Our room was a good size very clean bed was a bit too soft for me. It had large flat screen tv, tea making facilities, a fan very important in this hot weather, iron, hairdryer a lovely large bathroom with a walk in shower.
A lovely large restaurant which we had breakfast in, the staff were friendly and very helpful. The food was excellent.
It also has a spa but I only used the pool which was great for a swim.
The hotel receptionists were friendly and helpful
Overall a good hotel in a good location, short walk from the cliff over looking the beach short stroll to the gardens and town

VOUCHER FOR SPA MASSAGE AND TEA
My husband and I were given this as a gift. The reception staff were lovely and produced large fluffy bathrobes and towels for us to use in the SPA. I was not so impressed in this area all clean, however being underground there is no natural light and it was quite a small area. There is a steam and sauna room as well. Sadly no space for loungers or chairs around the pool (I had taken magazines to 'laze'). The BEST part was the really amazing MASSAGES we received from ALINA.....we have travelled the world and had massages in many places....Alina's technique and manner are right up there with the best....we were both very pleased and thoroughly relaxed and looked forward to our cream tea and prosecco. The tea was good fresh and certainly enough to fill us. The staff were polite and efficient. The car parking costs £10 which is rather stiff (and there were masses of spaces available) and we fortunately found a space right outside the hotel for free. So the SPA is a nice addition for hotel guests but I wouldn't go just for that....however DO GO for the Spa treatments and the situations of the hotel virtually on the sea front makes it a great place for visitors to stay. My family were let down by a 'glamping' holiday that was so awful we had to leave after one night. A big big thank you to the wonderful staff at the Durley Dean who found us a room with a few hours notice. The hotel is fairly old but has been updated where necessary, bathrooms/showers bedrooms are all modernised to a high standard. There is a lovely warm swimming pool with steam room & sauna. A large family room was provided with generous double bed, & the staff moved in a comfortable single bed shortly after our arrival. The room we were provided was very clean & homely with tea & coffee provided. A wonderful golden beach is one minutes walk from the hotel.
Durleys' prices are very reasonable & provide a fantastic free all you can eat buffet breakfast. The staff were all lovely, special thanks to the warm receptionists, restaurant staff & the room staff who made us so feel so welcome. An easy 5* recommendation.
