Great training class tons of information on how to deal with personal dog issues. I got to bring my own pup in so Kirk could evaluate and see how she reacts. Would definitely recommend the class to anyone who has a new puppy or older with issues that need correction. Kirk is easy to work with and does a great job of handling the dogs. Kirk is one of the few trainers I have met who truly understand dog pack behavior instead of just trying to force an animal to do something. The work he did with my husky in a short period of time has resulted in a 90% transformation. Of course, now the rest is up to me to keep up on the lessons learned. Kirk is awesome. Â We have 2 dogs and a cat. Â All was well in our universe until we introduced a new rescue kitty. Â One of the dogs is very curious about anything or anyone new entering his environment and wanted to inspect the kitty; which of course scared the kitty, who responded with a hiss causing the dog to snap. Â We kept them separated for a while but made no progress with their behavior toward one another. Â Kirk spent ONE hour with us and we followed his advice to the letter. Â His training style is based on his deep understanding of how dogs think therefore there is no need for e-collars or punishment based training. Â I am happy to report that not only are we all living together peacefully but some of the dogs' less desirable behaviors have been corrected i.e. Â barking maniacally when someone rings the bell, pulling on the leash and jumping on people when over excited. Â I highly recommend Kirk for any of your canine needs. Â His fees schedule is very reasonable and he is very trust worthy. More...

What do you love most about your job?
The unique opportunity to make a meaningful differences with dog-people relations, especially children, dog owners and new parents. I teach people how to develop mutual respect and trust with their dogs by using a 3-step process to teach anyone to effectively and safely set boundaries and limitations with all dogs.
What inspired you to start your own business?
As a Dog Owner, Musher and K9 Educator, I wanted to help find homes for rescued dogs but realized that educating people about basic dog psycholgy and behavior training is more important. There is an unprecedent number of dogs being euthanized in the big city for leash reactivity, aggression and other 100-percant correctable/learnable behaviors . As a Dog Behavior Consultant, I help my clients overcome problems and lead happy balanced lives with their pet animals in a save learning environment.
