Emily is so amazing and I haven't even worked with her face to face yet! My husband and I have been having some aggression issues with our two females (3 yrs. and 1 yr.). They had gotten into a little scuffle at the end of June and has since snowballed into something that is now out of our control. I contacted Emily, desperate for help. She got back to me almost immediately and took the time to chat with me and give me pointers on what to do until she can come and evaluate. She is pretty booked up, but has been in constant communication with me walking me through what to do as situations arise. I have an appointment with her on the 18th, but assured me she was going to everything she could to see me sooner, given the seriousness of our situation. I am so grateful for her already, and so excited to see what she can do when she can meet my girls in person. I will update my review once that happens, but I just had to say something about how amazing she is, she truly loves her job and cares about the animals well being, not just a paycheck. Words cannot express how fabulous Emily is. She is truly exceptional and understands dog behavior better than anyone I've met before. I reached out to her in hopes to better understand my aggressive bulldog. After an hour and a half session my dog has been completely different. I am currently fostering a 2 year old German Shepherd/Shiba Inu mix named Fox, with adoption being our goal. For Fox, reactivity to other dogs has been her hardest struggle to overcome. This has made it impossible for her to go to daycare in the past, hikes, and walking when other dogs are out. That is not the life she deserves. So I called Emily, and that has been the best choice I could've made for Fox. Even with only 1 private and 1 group under our belts, I see drastic changes to Fox's behavior as Emily teaches me how to read and understand Fox better. My husband and I rescued a 4 year dog who had extreme anxiety about anything you can think of, including fear of my husband and aggression toward him. We called Emily and she spent an entire hour on the phone with us before we even met or paid anything. She listened to all of our concerns and gave us suggestions. She came over and spent 2.5 hours training my husband and I on how to help our dog. We also went to a group class which was fantastic. Emily has continued to be available by phone and text for no additional costs when we have ANY question or concern at all. In fact, she wants you to call/text to keep her updated that's how dedicated she is to the success of your pet. I can't say enough about how Emily has helped change our lives and our relationship with our dog. He's doing great and has made huge strides in only 1 month. Thank you Emily!! We rescued THE CUTEST 6 year old maltipoo. Â He is a really great dog in almost every way...our only issue is that he snapped at my two boys and sometimes at their friends. Â Now, I understood that he is 8 lbs and the boys look like these hyper giants to him, but I got him for them. Â I really didn't want to give him away, but he was looking to be more my dog than the boys'. Â So, Emily to the rescue. Â She worked with our family for about 1.5 hrs and trained the humans (because the dog was really not doing anything un-dog) how to interact better with the dog, how to shape the dog's behaviors so that he will look to us during times of stress, and she helped us understand a dog's mind. I had a friend at work raving about Emily The Dog Listener. I jokingly asked if The Dog Listener also trained cats. The answer was YES. After paying a $1,700 vet bill to stitch up one cat that was attacked by another of our cats, I called Emily and set up an appointment. Best animal decision I've ever made. We have several cats, with one at the bottom of the totem pole. After coming over and assessing the situation, Emily made several recommendations. I'm super amazed at how well they've worked. There are two cats who are bullies. There's only been one incident per bully in the two months since Emily has been here. AMAZING!!!After the duration of our appointment, she spent her own time giving us extra tips and telling stories about her crazyily interesting life with animals. She absolutely has the experience to help you with your pet problems.Also, it is very apparent that she cares about your pets...and you!!! She helped us out of a very sticky situation and continues to touch bases to see how things are going.I am not losing her number.
