Dog Grooming Services
DOG GROOMING SERVICES
We are able to provide a full range of grooming services in our air-conditioned salon with our qualified groomers.
Please note that as of 1st January 2022, we will be a small increase to our grooming prices as follows:
Small dogs £43 eg Cairn terrier, Westie
Medium dogs £46 eg average cockerpoo
Large dogs £50 eg golder retriever
Bath and dry only - £38
Anal glands and nails - £20 as stand alone, or add anal glands to your groom for an extra £12. Nails are included with a full groom.
The above prices are an estimate, and the final price will depend on coat condition, type of groom and your dog's behaviour.
Full Grooms
Full grooms include a bath, dry, brush through, and clipping or hand scissoring into your chosen style. We always trim nails and ears are cleaned if required.
Hand Stripping
For hand stripping, we are experts in our field! Customers travel from far and wide to have their dogs hand stripped by Dawn; an expert with harsh coats!
Puppy Grooming
Introducing puppies to grooming is a very important process which will help prevent stress in later life. The service may include a bath, dry, brush and minor trimming. This will depend on how the puppy copes with his/her visit. At The Dog House, we pride ourselves on ensuring each puppy has an enjoyable experience in our care. You will also receive a 'Puppy First Groom Certificate'. This service is free of charge to puppies under 20 weeks.
Get What You Want
We pride ourselves in taking time to get to know you and your dog. We will focus on how you want your dog to look - we understand if you want something special, just let us know.
Fully Qualified
All of our groomers are fully qualified level 3 groomers and talk 'dog', a language that is essential in our world!
Model Dog Programme
Our fully supervised students need dogs to fine tune their skills - if your dog is suitably well behaved, he could join our special model dog programme and receive 50% off all grooming charges.

We take care of your dog's every need during their stay with us. From ensuring they receive regular walks to following your usual feeding routines.
Open for 08:30 - 17:30 each day.
We cater for full or half days!
We are fully equipped to care for your dogs all day, and they certainly won't get bored with us; we have a play den filled with entertainment and a nearby field to go for walks as well.

Grooming School
GROOMING SCHOOL
From learning to groom your own dog, to making dog grooming your career, we have the course that's right for you. We are fully air-conditioned to ensure you are able to learn in comfort.
We offer regular open evenings for prospective students. You can view dates and book these directly through our website.
Ringcraft
Our small and friendly ringcraft class is held most Wednesday evenings from 7pm for about one hour. We focus on handling skills and learning to present our dog to the judge in the most efficient and effective way we can. We hold our Ringcraft class inside our training rooms at 74a Blackpole (full address below) or, if the weather is dry, in the car park of 86H Blackpole. The location is weather dependent and when we are outside we can accept all breeds. Our indoor (wet weather) training room is only big enough for 6 small breeds and their handlers.
Our Ringcraft Classes are run by Dawn who has shown dogs all of her life. Dawn is an international Cairn Terrier judge and in 2022 will be judging Cairns at Crufts. Dawn has achieved much success in the show ring with her kennel of Carradine Cairns, with 16 UK Champions and many overseas champions too!
Please always book a place BEFORE attending as this is NOT a weekly class, dates are pre-set in advance.
