We made initial contact with Anna via a telephone call to discuss our Irish Terrier's grooming requirements, which were quite complicated! Anna was very helpful, offering us a free consultation appointment the following day and was accommodating when we needed to re-arrange. During the consultation Anna listened to our concerns and her knowledge of grooming terrier coats gave us reassurance that our dog, Dougal, was in safe and experienced hands. Dougal was groomed yesterday and he looks fantastic, Anna has done a wonderful job and we are delighted with the results. He was with Anna for over 3 hours and had lots done, but was relaxed and calm when we collected him, having been well cared for during his visit. Anna also forwarded before and after photos, which was very thoughtful and much appreciated. We would highly recommend Anna, whose warmth and professionalism shines through; she also makes the well-being of your dog her top priority. Our little pup Phoebe was 4 months old and ready for a small introductory puppy groom. But then 25c+ weather hit and she was uncomfortable under her little duvet of fur and needed it all chopped off! Anna at The Dog Box worked wonders! Phoebs had never been to a groomers before, let alone had the whole works (wash, dry, restyle) and Anna made her feel really comfortable. I was able to stay with pup as she had it done and feed her treats and find out a lot about grooming. it made it easier for everyone involved. In terms of the finished product, she looked totally gorgeous and exactly what I had in mind! I didn't want a traditional cockapoo cut, but was worried about describing what style I did want. But Anna totally got me (even though she was used to doing traditional cockapoo styles) and Phoebe looks exactly how I dreamed she might. It was a really positive experience and my girl looks beaut. Anna gave the most amazing service to my rescue Pom. After searching far and wide for a reliable, experienced groomer, Anna rang me back straight away and was able to book us in quite quickly. Sadly my Pom was very matted (previous owner never groomed him) and the level of brushing required would have been very stressful for him to get rid of the matts, so Anna had to shave it off. Anna made sure I was happy with this and that I was aware his hair may never grow back the same. My priority was my dogs welfare, so off his fluff went! Anna shaped his feet and head hair to match his new look, which in itself is an absolute art. Anna gave specialist advice on the correct brush to use, shampoo ect. Her equipment is top notch - no stressful blow drying in a cage. Whilst I am looking forward to my Pom’s hair growing back a little, I have had so many compliments on his cut. Brought the family dog to Anna from day one, she was great! Went somewhere else when she took a break (which I regret!! It's caused problems! !) and now me, my family and my dog are very pleased to be back on her client list. Anna is a genuine dog lover, very organised and totally reliable and trustworthy. My dog Harry LOVES going out for walks with her and her daughter. She only takes out small groups and makes sure all their needs are met, which is so reassuring. Harry always comes back happy and exhausted after a walk with The Dog Box. I visited Anna today for the first time with my large breed Golden Doodle who was very matted and in desperate need of some TLC. The grooming salon is immaculate and very high tech. Anna is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. She genuinely cares about your dog and how he/she is feeling. At the same time Anna has an incredible eye for detail. It's clear she takes pride in her work and unlike most groomers this doesn't come at the expense of care and compassion for the animal she's working with. Sending updates throughout the day to let me know that my dog was in safe hands was an unexpected lovely touch. I was also really impressed that my dog was given a break from the grooming for 20 minutes in the secure fenced garden. Wow! I would highly recommend The Dog Box who went above and beyond. Thank you! If you are looking for a dog groomer in the Exeter area you should look no more and try Anna. She is passionate about her craft and very skilled. Our Border Terrier came back very smart and has attracted admiring looks from people when on his walks. We were particularly pleased she could offer different techniques as in stripping and/or trimming his coat and were delighted with the results. My dog Ciela has just returned from her first experience being groomed by Anna. I cannot recommend The Dog Box highly enough! Anna was very accommodating in booking us in for an appointment, and really took the time to listen to our needs, both over the phone in advance and upon arrival this morning. She and her lovely son were patient with Ciela's initial anxiety, and I was pleased to find a calm, happy, clean, and pretty dog a few hours later. Anna is very professional and clearly has top notch dog grooming skills, and the space is beautiful and a testament to her love of dogs and commitment to her clients. My miniature Schnauzer is not a fan of being bathed or groomed, a total fidget.
Anna really took great care of him, taking time out to meet him before his appointment and let him get to know her and the environment.
She didn't rush his groom, allowing lots of time so he would be comfortable.

We first came across The Dog Box whilst my husband was walking our shihtzu; Winston. Anna's daughter gave us a card and I texted Anna almost immediately. We usually use a well known groomers but we are never 100% happy with the service and/or our dogs cut, we always felt a bit rushed. Anna is a totally different kettle of fish! She's was easily reached, friendly and professional. What I felt was fabulous was the fact she wanted to meet us before the groom to go over any requirements, requests and also to make a total fuss of Winston! He felt comfortable with her and so did we! Her customer service is second to none and we immediately trusted her with our fur baby - she even managed to agree to have Winston seen on a Sunday. When we picked our pup up after his groom he was relaxed and looking absolutely gorgeous!! She uses natural products and the best equipment, I cannot recommend Anna enough and I'll be shouting her company name from the roof tops! A great little find and totally different from the 'big dogs' in the grooming industry! We will not be returning to our old groomers and we will be using Anna from now on! Thanks again Anna! We came across The Dog Box when Anna's daughter gave my husband a card whilst walking our shihtzu, Winston and boy oh boy was that a stroke of luck! We used to use a very well known groomers that we didn't feel very comfortable with due to the service and type of cut they used to do. Anna has totally converted us and we will not be going anywhere else, ever! Her customer service is absolutely outstanding! She wanted to meet us and Winston before his groom and go over any requirements, I thought this was so great and she really made us feel comfortable - she even managed to fit us in on a Sunday! Winton now looks super handsome and his cut and condition of his coat is great! Anna uses natural shampoo and only the best products and clippers.
