We had our wedding here and stayed at the bed and breakfast after. Our experience was amazing! Super sweet and helpful owners and the location is beautiful. Off the beaten path, but definitely worth it. I must say the bed we stayed in is the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in. Seriously considering buying a new one at home so we can duplicate it! Breakfast was phenomenal! Home made cookies as a night snack, were delicious. I dont even like raisins, but those cookies hit your soul differently! Extremely friendly hosts, and cant forget the donkey... felt very welcomed! Nice bed and pillows. I have hard time sleeping on pillows that are not mine, but I slept like a baby. What a beautiful country setting, house and hosts! Tom greeted us warmly and let us know everything we needed to know about their lovely home. Very accommodating and ready to assist in any way. We met Denise the next morning at breakfast and she was just as sweet. ||The hospitality was great. There were brownies to snack on when we got in late from a day at Spring Mill State Park and fresh coffee outside our room in the morning. I took advantage of the coffee by sitting on the front porch in the morning and watching the beautiful sunrise. The porch has a perfect wide ranging view across the farm fields to the east. I enjoyed it very much. I sat in the rocking chair, watching the sky come alive and listening to the farm animals and birds wake up. It rejuvenates the soul and gives you hope for the day. ||We were in the Creme de la Creme room. A beautiful spacious room with a very nice bathroom. Cool, quiet and comfortable. ||Breakfast will be soon and I have no doubt it will be great. ||Well, just finished breakfast and it was very good. Had my favorite — biscuits and gravy along with an egg bake and sautéed apples. The conversation at the table was very lively and fun. ||A very nice stay and it deserves all the five stars and nice reviews it has gotten ||P.S. — if you have never been to Spring Mill State Park, they have many events down there to experience. One we have throughly enjoyed is the Candlelight Village Tour that kicks off the week of festivities in Mitchell for the Persimmon Festival. The park is a nice country drive away and is not far from here. ||P.S.S. — a great place for lunch in Salem is Christie’s On The Square. Great food! More...

We had to make a late booking but the hosts were more than happy to accommodate us. Upon arrival, Tom greeted us the gate, show us the drink bar, and provided us with homemade oatmeal cookies as a late night snack. Those cookies were to die for. Despite being in the open fields, the property itself was immaculate. The mattress was covered with a proper protectant and any bugs we found were dead which suggested they regularly treat the place. We slept in a very comfy king size bed and it was one of the most peaceful nights I have ever had. The following morning, the drink bar had fresh tea and coffee available and we went downstairs to a homemade breakfast and friendly conversation. What really put this location over the top were the hosts Tom and Denise. They treat you as if you are another member of the family - whether you are bubbly like my sister or quiet like myself. If you just want to escape from the the everyday fast pace of life, then I definitely recommend booking a stay here. I look forward to bringing my other family members one day.
