I love what's been done with the place. Clearly a place for music lovers and folk who enjoy a good pub alike. The management is pleasant and engaging and the addition of a juke box with a wide selection of music from Alanis Morissette to Slayer and I think I glimpsed Zz Top, it's a cracking place and intended to enjoy many a pint and gig there!

Fab night watching a great band. The place was packed but it all adds to the fun. Bar staff rushed off their feet but always smiling, never had to wait long to be served, which is a bonus in a crowded pub! Will definitely be back.

Great music venue, run by great people, with friendly and engaging clientele...they've even got a Harley parked inside, now that's pure class! ! Place was full of Rockers and Metal-heads as you would expect when Witchtripper, Trendkill and BAD EARTH are on the bill, but this Bar's set up to suit anybody's taste in music with a great performance area and PA. We're in here almost every weekend. There's always something worth going in for, the staff are amazing. The live nights are great, sometimes artists with original material and other nights of tribute acts and covers bands. My wife says if they put birra morretti on tap she's moving in. They've also recently mentioned starting food including veggie and vegan recipes which will make it an incredible venue. More...

Great night last night watching Metropolis. First time I've seen them do a full set - great stuff!
Also great to see the County back in full swing after being closed down for some time. And the rock scene back in Chesterfield, there has not been many proper rocks bands around for a while. Will return very soon :)

And the bar staff were fine, a bit busy at first when everyone turned up at the same time, but later on no problem. And nice to be serving real ales which aren't 'off'! More...

A very friendly landlord we love it , good music played for everyone's taste , I don't like sports played on TVs and a lot of bad language, so far I haven't seen or heard any of it a great pub for all ages .

Well what can i say that everybody hasnt already said � an amazing night watching metropolis atmosphere was buzzing as for the 2 ladies that left well shame on you it was your loss a little patience with staff rushed off their feet would have payed off for you they were FANTASTIC and plenty of gaps to get drinks even though they deserved one themselves for doing so well COUNTY BAR AND METROPOLIS WE SALUTE YOU XX
